Okay, have a question, if y'all would be so kind... In my first game I went friend/romance and got the non-blue-glow kiss, in my current, second, game, I got the blue-glow kiss. My question is how did I get the non-glow the first time around? I find I like it much better than that glow.

Alright. So even though I'm pretty much at the end of the game...maybe there's still a chance to get full rivalry? *crosses fingers* I'm very very close. Maybe like 20 points away. I wish the game would tell you how many you need....
I actually had the same problem during my first playthrough. I went for a Friendship romance, but then made the mistake of dragging him with me to mage-related quests. Cost me some precious points right there. Even resulted in me not having enough points at the end to continue the romance, so I ended up having to reroll my character. No fun. No fun at all.
Here's hoping you won't get the same situation! I'm not sure on what The Last Straw quest you're on, but if you just drag Fenris with you to every conversation with Meredith and Orsino, and pick the pro-mage options, you -should- be fine.
Yes, a reroll WOULD suck. :/ I'm very attached to my current Hawke. Wouldn't want to redo him all over again.
I haven't done anything yet with the Last Straw. The description pretty much says, "Look for letter from both Meredith and Orsino. As far as Best Served Cold, it says to go talk to Orsino in the Templar Hall. I'm saving that quest for after all my other ones are done.
I've been bringing Fenris with me EVERYWHERE, lol. Accidentally got +5 friendship with him after Merrill's last quest. >_>
Oh yeah! I just remembered, I haven't given him his last gift yet that I'm supposed to get in 'Best Served Cold.' Will that give me rivalry?
Yes that will give you rivalry. Though he doesn't want the sword, you can still equip it on him.
SWEET. Hopefully it gives me enough points to have rivalry maxed out.
Ok, I'm going to go finish my last few quests. Maker, I hope this works.

Thank the maker, it worked!!! I was able to get the remaining rivalry points I needed with him (was only 10) and as soon as he was maxed out, his Questioning Beliefs quest appeared in my journal. I dropped what I was doing (right in the middle of 'Best Served Cold', lol) and went straight to his mansion. ^^ Omg, I love happy endings. <3

Once you've triggered the romance as a friend, and you then do bitter pill, just DON'T choose the 'Don't go" option. He'll leave, and the next night time you're home he'll show up and wham, no glowy kiss ;x:crying:
Personally I like the glowy kiss *fans self*, but I still think its really sweet that you can talk him into "having a try" before then.

I did choose 'Don't go' on my first playthrough, and I got a normal kiss, but I'm not sure if Questioning Beliefs was done first....and my Hawke was male. Maybe you can only get it with fem Hawkes...? *shrug*

No no, leave, as in, walk out on Hawke. He won't leave the party and will still be available.

Ok , I played DA2 . First time was Anders Romance. Ok , the love scenes were good. Second time was a rivalmance with Fenris. I was hooked. I screwed it up though (I didnt do things I should have) and had to kill him (Gah , I cried so much). This time I am trying for a friendshipmance with him . I am totally hooked on him. As one of my friends in one of my groups says"His voice is just panty melting"
