Okay, something needs to be wrong.

I've replayed act 2 TWICE to get the rivalry meter high enough to get Questioning beliefs before The Bitter Pill so I can get the glowing scene in rivalmance but he just friggin leaves. Don't leave you ·$"$·!%$·.

There wasn't any trail of romance in questioning beliefs (except for the "talking to a beautiful woman" thingy) and I'm sure I remember something more from my first/canon PT where I friendshipmanced him.

I just let this Hawke go with Anders. I guess there's no chance of getting some angry sex or whatever, not on this act or the latters, is it? I'm just disappointed I was planning to get this Hawke go with Anders anyway because she's a heartless ****, but...

Another question I've got! I rememeber that when I finished my 1st PT, Varric said that all the companions parted ways from Hawke "except for Fenris". As I've said above, I ended the game with full (and proud) friendshipmance (and without having to be a jerk to mages, you know).

Does he also stay with Hawke if you're rivalmancing him?

My husband and brother in law keep asking how I can keep playing it.  I want to look at them and say 'Ugh, it's not like I play all day.  I take breaks...'


And besides that, I really want to see the video when Anders shows up at the estate after Fenrismance and calls Fenris a beast...prefferably followed by him getting shot down...

I apparently FAIL at romancing two characters at the same time in this game...

I wonder why mine isn't the littlest bit suspicious of me having that elf always on screen.
I've tried telling him about "the dramas" of DA2, but "fortunately" he pays no interest in these things.
Sometimes I feel like I'm rivalmancing him lol.

Technically that convo was a complaint that I'm bogging the xbox. There's another one in the house but it's got a smaller tv attached to it and he's not down with that.

Mine can care less about Fenris, I on the other hand can't search for his stuff with him standing behind (and not paying attention to me at all) because I feel like I'm cheating on him lol!

aha yes. I flirted with Anders twice and he is panting at my bed. I managed to get him to call Fenris a beast and I flipped him off. Anders romance isn't fun if all I had to do is literally flirt twice and do one quest with him.

I kinda feel cheating on him too. I find myself hitting escape too often HAHA
This, or putting a "I'm not interested at all in this cutscene" pose in front of the computer. He's too absorted at his own computer to notice though. I can feel your pain even I guess I'm... a worse girlfriend? haha
I wouldn't do it without headphones though. That'd be too much not to notice.

And dfuhfdud, I just can't stand rivalring Fenris. I feel like a jerk. It's like "No! I don't mean it! It's just for the RP, this Hawke has to do it because she loves Anders or whatever!!" XD

THANK you.  I've been dying to know how that scene went down.  >.>  Tried that myself this time...but I fail at romancing two characters in the same playthrough...

Hmm, I'd say it's just like that. Romance both at the same time and let it all out with Fenris as you said, but then going back to Anders when Fenris leaves and kiss him. When Anders shows at the mansion he starts all romantic but at one point he asks you about Fenris.

You can tell him that nothing happened, that you really just love Anders or stuff like that or, and a "I love Fenris" option that might trigger the "beast" line (which is also followed by something like "I'd thought you'd prefer someone who's more open minded" ("like me", I thought) ).


Edit: So the love scene actually initiates, but it ends terribly (for Anders). I guess he's resented and that's why he confronts you near the end.

If I'm not wrong, you haven't heard anything from Fenris by the time Anders asks you, so maybe you might go "back" with Anders at that point.I felt that Hawke was really making an act of faith/love towards Fenris at that time.

I wonder if Anders would still ask you if you had completed Fenris's questioning beliefs of that act where he tells you what happened that night.

hm...this means as soon i'm done with Fenris's quest, sleeps with him, i must go do Anders's prompt his 'i'm coming over tonight' line and then go back to the mansion

man this is hard because I also wanna trigger Fenris's "command me to leave" scene, i want too many things at once LOL

I did a LOT of tests with that, lol


As I said in the edit above, you can still romance Anders at that point, but most probably it means not being able to get back to Fenris. If you notice what Fenris says if you take him as a companion, if you keep loyal to him he'd still say you romantic stuff, and if you switch to Anders he'll just treat you as a friend.

I don't think you might get back to Fenris after that. I kept a save where I romanced Anders at that point but I couldn't loose Fenris, lol.
Maybe if someone has been more brave than me to continue through that path they might know if later on Fenris confronts you like Anders does on the opposite case, but I doubt it.
Someone would have said it by now!

I'm willing to replay act 2 a third time if I can get it in rivalmance.
Somehow I'm not getting ANY love scene in rivalmance.

I did, and he left either way!

Thing is, I finished Questioning beliefs _while_ having a Bitter Pill active. Might that be it?
In that case I might have to go way back, because at first I wasn't that sure about rivalmancing him and didn't look for it so throughly.

Also, how many romance options are there in Act2's Questioning Beliefs? I just get one heart.
