Why is fenris the only elf in the game whose face is so beautiful? Most of the male elves do not have the same type of strong features, and I'm not sure why. Fenris really does stand out because he is so gorgeous.  No other male elf has nearly the same strength of features.

I wouldn't mind the elf redesign if some of the other male elves came anywhere close to how utterly gorgeous Fenris is. And no, Zevran, my dear love Zevran, does not even come close. Though his voice does make up for a lot

simply not enough effort made. most of the humans in the game look horrible too unless they're a main character. ugh. have you looked at them?  Of course there's Orsino.  Orsino is hot.  I don't care that he's crazy or that his hairline is receding... DAYUM.

as for zevran, i think they tried to preserve too many of his human-like features from his origins appearance which simply does not look good on the elven redesign. fenris looks good because he takes full advantage of the elven face structure.

at least, thats what i think.

I agree. I think it also has to do with Fenris' textures. He has more detailed skin, it makes him look less... marshmallowy than the other elves. They're too soft. It's weird.

And as for Zevran.. ::shudder:: I have to cover my screen with my hand when he comes up. ::wishes for a mod that will allow DA:O models for DA2::

Tbh, I thought Zevran was going to bug me a lot given the picture I saw before the release of the game.  However, once I met him in game, I totally disregarded his strange looks and he was Zevran to me.  The voice was there.  The little smirks (even with his eyes... that man could make Tyra Banks proud.. SMILE WITH YOUR EYES, ZEVRAN) were there.  He felt like Zev to me.

That said, I do wish that the elves 1) wore shoes (*grumble*) and 2) didn't look like sheep that the Na'avi might have had if they had sheep in 'Avatar'.

Guys...I just thought of something, and I'm not sure if it's been discussed before in this thread:

do you think Fenris's silvery white hair is natural? or caused by lyrium?

I just did Alone again and I was looking at Varania and I noticed they had the same color eyes (and she looked more elf than him) but her hair color is also red as heck. It made me wonder...of course Fenris is not the only character walking around with that hair color, but doesn't it make you wonder though? about genetics? I mean Hawke's got that genetic system going on, right?

keyword is effort.

basically, if it's not a main character, they use the same stuff over and over but with different hair color and eye color and such. Look at Varania, she looks EXACTLY like the elf girl you freed in the Holding Cave but has red hair and green eyes instead. 

Kinda lame if you ask me <_<

Genetics don't necessarily mean twins.  We have no idea what his father looked like.  He could simply take after one parent while sis takes after another.

I do agree that his hair probably was black and changed colors after the markings, though.

I look completely different from my brother (thank the Maker) and my husband's siblings all look very different.

I was supposing the white hair was from the lyrium, and that his hair was originally dark because of his eyebrows. *sweats a little at the thought*

I liked Orsino, well until he became the giant monster thing. His voice was strangely relaxing too. Funny, because his VA was Captain Qwark in the Rachet and Clank games.

Also, here's a question. What do you suppose happened in the time between acts, things that wouldn't have been in the codex summaries?

Hawke: The Arishok broke my staff with that huge sodding axe of his, remember?

Fenris: There's a supply closet in Danarius' mansion. Perhaps a broomhandle would be a suitable replacement.

Hawke: A staff is more than a stick Fenris. Maker, I loved that staff, it was a good staff, fried more thugs than half of the city guard. (sighs) Do you have any idea of how hard it is to find a staff that you really like?

traumatic events can turn your hair white.  the constant pain and torture he got while being Danarius' bodyguard was sufficient to be "traumatic".  it may also be the lyrium but i think its more the sheer stress.

judging by his eyebrows, i'd say he would naturally have been dark haired. brown, dark red, or maybe black. i suppose it could be white naturally, but i somehow doubt it.
