We know the plot has something to do with the chantry, possibly the tevinter, i don't know for sure.

He seems to have more connections to the plot than aveline or the siblings.

You mean the Hawke siblings, yes?  If so, I definetly disagree.  Everyoen from DG to Laidlaw have gone out of their way to tell us that the family connections are a major point to the story.  Admitedly, they've been spreading that one on so thick it could be suspect, but Fenris's connection to the Chantry is not based on released information, just fan speculation.

The family dynamic may not play a large role in the overall plot,Gaider has said this is an important part of the Story telling but i doubt that Carver is going to end up being some hero of ancient destiny or have kept a secret from the family.And since they can die i doubt they have that huge a focus other than a possible sibling rivalry.

Actually, I am looking forward to the family dynamic. I am an only child (who likes that way) and having to RP the brother/sister aspect of the story throughout the game will be interesting. Of course, that could make it much easier to off the sibling if he/she comes too close to Fenris.

Origins played a large part in how important the origins characters were to the plot.
Allistar was a born king,
Morrigan was a Maleficar with a centuries old mother.

Isabella is a pirate
Aveline is a knight
Carver and beth are farm folk
Fenris is a Tevinter slave with lyrium infused into his skin and apparently "a living weapon"

We've had 1 gay elf LI out of one elf LI
do we need 2?

and i don't htink gaider would ever say his characters have similar  personalities. but i still don't think they do.

I didn't have a big problem with him but in the end I was like "stop hitting on me all the freaking time godda**it I just want to be friends" He was okay but a little too much in the end. Fenris on the other hand...*drool* he seems like one I would have permanently in my party in all playthroughs

ME's story could have progressed without ash or kaidan, Replace them with another facless alliance marine and it wouldbe the same.

The real tragedy for me would not be whether Fenris is straight or bi but if he were straight and liked your sister or bi and liked your brother.

Though I actually did like Zevran, I could never stomach the Alistair romance and have a grudge against Leliana because I had that bug where she ALWAYS thought I was interested, even if I explicitly said we were just friends. <_<

At any rate, I won't mind if he is the bi LI, but if he isn't I'll quite happy just so I don't have to hug a pillow to my head and mutter to myself to avoid the "OMG he's just like Zevran all over again" comments, which cause an irrational reaction in me which I'll try to keep to myself from this point onwards.

True but how many secrets can our siblings hold? The centeral them of their part in the story is going to probaly be hawkes origins and/or sibling rivalry. not they are a former king or whatnot
and they can die,
Allistar and morrigan couldn't die. THat alone pretty much rules them out from centeral plotline since you can't be intregal to it if you're not in it.

The fact that David welcomed speculation on whether Fenris was bi makes me almost certain he is. I was really hoping it wouldn't be the elf this time, but it seems I will be disappointed. And people can't complain that he's a rogue this time and therefore "less masculine" than a warrior.
