I have the fenris romance problem too.
Once you taste it , you can't forget about it :D

But i'd like to romance Isabella with a female Hawke in a playtrought.
it's gonna be so weird ,Isabella have a crush on fenris, guess my Hawke too...
I wonder if fen likes girl pijama party?

I like the Fenris romance the best.  I keep wanting to complete the Isabela romance with my MHawke but I never can(he ended up with Merrill).  Her romance hasn't won me over like Zev's did.  I just don't see the growth from her.  Zev's romance can be powerful, Isabela still seems to be willing to sleep with anything she fancies while in the romance.  And I should say I like her character.  She makes me laugh.  Just not sold on the romance and her falling in love bit.  Maybe someone can correct or change my mind about her.

I really like Isabella as a friend :)
She's funny , beautiful, strong, and clever ( i really like the party banter when she speaks about the idea of justice with anders/and mage freedom with fenris)

And she have some issues (that you discover in the romance path) but she decided to enjoy life anyway ...

It's someone, for me , you might want to spend some years with , having fun ,adventure ...
And since i can't imagine living on a boat , some days you grow apart but no bitterness involved. :)

It would be perfect if you have the option to take fenris along ...dream "love boat" ...

I'm in a cul de sac with Fenris' romance, too. None of the other LIs appeal at all. In fact I'm having the same problem as in ME1, where I took Garrus and Wrex everywhere and wouldn't have cared if everyone else got blown up on Virmire. Only now it's Fenris and Varric and everyone else can go take a long breath on a short shaft. Well, Aveline's ok but I don't like a tank spec so I rarely use her.

Trying out the other romances just because, but when I first played the game, I flirted shamelessly with both Anders and Fenris, just to see who might get the drop on her first.

I got face nom'd before thrown against the wall, so that PT was an Andersmance.

But at this point... I'm seriously digging the Fenrismance. It's not tragicmance. And granted, you get the "breakup" in Act 2 instead of the whole "relationship" but the make up in Act 3 is so worth it.

I try to take everyone out a little, everyone but Sebastian.  I just can't...  Maybe he's too chaste (or boring) for me.  But I hear you about the cul de sac.  I'm not sure I'll be doing any other romances in future play throughs but Fenris.  I might try the Isabela route because I do like her, but the appeal of the others is just not there any longer.

Anders was who I went for initially. He and my Hawke had the same sense of humor and they just seemed to have a "normal" relationship, living together, etc. Like they were married. I thought it was sweet even with his obvious obsessions and I imagined they had a really nice partnership. Of course it all started going downhill when he started to lie and hide things from Hawke, then of course there's the whole thing where he basically becomes a terrorist so my Hawke had to kill him. My first playthrough was full of horrid tragedy. I was a mess for a few days.

I enjoy the Fenris romance because like you said it's not a tragicmance. It's awkward and difficult at times but in the end the payoff is spectacular. :)

Anders is a nice man.
I wasn't sure who i was going to romance first,so i gave him a chance.
Hawke:"You're cute Anders;D"
Anders " I'M GONNA HURT YOU!!!!!"
Hawke "...o...k..i got to go, bye!!!"

I was thinking , maybe he was on the edge that day or something...
Hawke :"So Anders what about a cup of tea at my estate"
Anders:I'M GONNA DROWN THIS WORLD IN BLOOD to be with you"
HAwke: ....

He really freaks me out , i mean , i like the character , he's a nice friend to have (except at the end but nevermind)but i really can't romance him.

Did... I just read this correctly?

They were thinking of having Fenris shirtless at the fireplace but cut it because they'd have to make a new model for it?

WHY GUYS, WHY?! Those tattoos DESERVE it!

*weeps*
(I just saw this on a comment made on the DA LJ comm, so I'm all discombobulated now.)

I think the reason I could romance Anders with my rogue was that she just didn't take many things seriously. So in my mind whenever he got all over dramatic about stuff she would make a joke about it or something. I'm not sure she fully understood the full extent of how actually messed up he was. But my mage who is romancing Fenris is hard on Anders. She's serious when it comes to magic and its responsible use. So she's wary about people like Anders and Merrill. Got quite a bit of rivalry with both of them on this playthrough.

And since we're on the topic of shirtless Fenris, I guess this is as close as we'll get.  This is by Velvet Rue, who is fantastic.

I'm just kidding , i understand why people romance Anders.
But when i started DA2 , i was fed up with the tragic love thing, maybe a couple of years ago i might have enjoyed the romance.
That's why i enjoy Fenris so much ,he's a tragic character , but he's bored of tragedy too:p

Haha, me too.  Playing with rogues my first two playthroughs, I had enough aggro dumps that if I got in trouble I could turn it all back on Fenris. ;)  I'm sure he appreciated that.

With my mage my group is so DPS heavy that things barely even get to touch us.  Hawke, Varric, Fenris, and usually either Isabela or Merrill and EVERYTHING DIES.

He's a dick.

We had hate sex and three years later he tried to kill me.
Didn't work out for him so well now did it.

Neither did it work out to well for Anders. Constantly whining. I grant him one wish. And that wish makes him blow up the Chantry.

Freakin crazy nancy boys in this game.

He also mentioned that the original idea was to have him wearing no shirt ever.  That would have strained credibility way too much.  Not that his armor looks to do much, but at least there's a breastplate.  And with no shoes... I wonder if they were going to have him wearing a loincloth. lol

But yeah, an unders shot in the romance scene would have been nice, at least to see the tattoo pattern.

As hot as that may have been... yea, it would have stretched credibility a wee bit.  Just like bikini plate mail, no armor would have made me wonder why he wasn't covered in scars, let alone tattoos. XD

Still, I would have liked to have seen some skin.  Considering the romance teaser image that was out there since Valentine's Day (which I made a point of NOT looking at after I glanced at it once just so I could be SURPRISED during those particular scenes... mrrrrrrrr*disappoint*  -.-) I was really hoping to get a gander at all the lovely lyrium work.

Fanworks are one thing (especially when done well, and that image does it justice, mmmmmhmmmm) but considering I'm still waiting for a shirtless Garrus too?  I have a feeling my LI gaming life is going to be set up for disappoint. T.T

Y U DO DIS 2 MEH BIOWARE?!

Yeah no chest armour would have been no fun.
But a "shirtless fenris dlc" is needed.
I mean not knowing how the tatoos look is worst than wondering about the Enigma of Kirkwall.
Maybe a "discover the mysteries of kirkwall staring fenris bare torso" dlc :D

I'm glad the artists did insist on the armor.  Fenris running around shirtless (even with the tattoos) would have made me think of Twlight too much and some of the mystique would have gone away for me.

But I agree, shirtless after the love scene would have been wonderful.  Of course, that would have made it a little more difficult for him to just walk out as he did at the end.  Though now that I think about it, a shirtless Fenris walking around holding armor and weapon in his hand to make the quick getaway and being spied by Bodahn and Sandal in the process makes me giggle.

It does make sense in the context.  He got dressed, probably thinking he'd just slip out, then he couldn't go without talking to her after all so he's waiting for her to wake up.

Then mother Hawke has a ackward conversation with Fenris about what his intentions are with her son.

Totally given the context.  Plus that gave him time to be a creeper in her dresser drawers too.

I'm not going to lie.  I really want art of Fenris going through Hawke's belongings and looking for the favor to tie about his wrist.

I need this in my life so badly.
