Fenris has tiger blood and bi-winning or don't you know that?

Words like "submissive" are very changed, however. Just because someone would prefer to follow doesn't make them submissive. Fenris doesn't strike me as submissive; he speaks up all the time.
That... 'Submissive' just doesn't seem like the right word to describe Fenris. He fights and takes a stand up until the point if you give him to Danarius (that scene fills me with beyond the sad, I swear).

To me Fenris is a very complex man and just as with most people in real life you can't really sum him up with one word that way. I can agree that at times Fenris does show some submissive tendancies, but that hardly makes him submissive as a whole. I think we need to start looking beyond that one word to describe him, because there is no one word that encompasses his personality.
Actually got around reading a bit in the codex today when I am playing, learned a few new things I hadn't really noticed before. During the first three years he spend in Kirkwall Fenris seems to have done a lot of work as a Mercenary and judging from some of the dialouges so far into act III I would say he continues this during his whole stay in Kirkwall. These Mercenary contracts is probably what made it possible for him to find and contact his sister back in Tevinter.
And apparently he did talk about leaving Kirkwall several times during the last year or so before act III, but it seems he feels he still owes Hawk something and thus he is still around. I would also say that it deos seem like there was nothing romantical going on between Hawke and Fenris during this time, this judging from what is written within the Codex, but it does seem like Hawke might have tried to talk things out with Fenris at some point. Just that Fenris didn't want to talk about it...

A few pages back (okay, a lot of pages) some of you said that after 'All that remains' you can find Gascard and have a little chat with him.. problem is, I can't find him. x.x
- Gascard is alive (I saw him before the quest in Darktown but didn't talk to him)
- I used Gamlen's path to find Leandra
- Killed the necromancer
- Gascard is no longer in Darktown
Where did I go wrong? x.x

I think he sends you a letter and you speak to him later? I'm speculating as i have not actually done the quest where Gascard stays alive just yet.

1. Need to have Gascard lead you to the bloody path.
2. Need to have Gascard not turn on you in the fight. ** Edit: You need to be a diplomat or aggressive to get the star icon to persuade him to side with you. (Apparently sarcastics are not getting this option?)
3. THEN you can find him again afterwards for the follow-up conversation.
Using Gamlen's route will negate this and you will not see Gascard again.

Pick the star icon that shows up in the dialogue. This may be personality-dependant. I can confirm that it shows up under diplomatic.omearaee wrote...
How do you convince Gascard to side with you? I've never been able to do that.

Also, need to not have Varric in the group or he will kill Gascard before Hawke can even say anything.
Edit: I just checked the quest in the wiki. It states that this is a diplomatic option.

Somewhat related, sarcastic mage also couldn't talk the dalish from attacking ex warewolf, whereas diplomatic rogue could.

Do you think he would ever be mistaken for a mage because of his magic fisting thingy?
Also if friendmancing Fenris and Hawke is a mage and she got taken by the Circle (not that they would be able to) do you think Fenris would do? Do you think he would try to break her out? Would he just leave her there?

Aggressive Hawke gets a different star, with a line along the gist of, "If you stand between me and my mother, I will destroy you."Gilsa wrote...
I just checked the wiki (and edited my post above) -- the star icon is for diplomats only.
