LOL @ Kaiden. I never had that kinda effect with him even though I romanced him (I just started ME2 again and this time, I'm gonna have me some Garrus...though I must say, I feel bad for ditching Kaiden like that...good thing I have another save where I was completely faithful to the man) . It was just Alistair and now Fenris...well more Fenris because I would just giggle with Alistair and with Fenris is totally different...and I know this because i'm here, talking to you guys in the Fenris thread, I never did that with Alistair LOL!!!

That sounds familiar some how. The huge canvas and notes on the drawings, but huge canvases are your friend in photoshop when your tablet is broken. xD

Gah, now I am missing my tablet something incredibly. Should look into replacing it really, its been two years since it broke down on me. Wireless Mouse + Photoshop + Sitting in the sofa and working with the TV as a screen == no art that I will ever show anyone
I did however install Photoshop again and all because of Fenris and Dragon Age 2... XD

I upgraded this last year from a Wacom Bamboo up to a an Intuos 4.  Took me awhile to get used to it, this one is more sensitive, etc.  I haven't had one break on me yet.  I have, however, lost the stylus of one.  My Brother in law gets all of my old tablets, too <_<

So I bought the Signature Edition. Just got around to downloading the soundtrack. It's probably been mentioned before, but I cannot get over the fact that Fenris is the only character with a theme alllll his owwwwnnnn~

I think someone at Bioware loves him. Which bodes well for DLC and a role in DA3.

Only had one comment from mom where she mentions how they look at each other and that she considers remarrying so that Hawke doesn't have to look behind her shoulder every time she comes home. That's on rival path, but I hear friendpath Hawke gets the same comment.

Maybe it is tied to Hawke's dominant personality?

Also, 3 playthroughs and no elusive Fenris/dog banter that I hear some people have gotten . It's like a myth, or a missing flag like Varrick's friendly concern conversation not fiering

Oh... Been drooling over the Intuos 4 ever since it came out. At the moment it is sort of out of my pricerange though, which is why I keep drooling over it instead of getting it. Even a year ago when I had a better economy I couldn't quite motivate spending so much on a new tablet, not when we were saving up to build our new computer at the same time.
My old one was an off brand one and it worked pretty well, but alas the pen has gone missing and it was getting over all insensitive. Had it for a couple of year and used it pretty much at times.
I can work pretty well with a mouse, or so I have found, but our curent computer setup at home sort of makes it very uncomfortable for me to work. So for the moment I do a few doodles on paper now and then and that is it, I miss the digital part though it made correcting issues in sketches so much easier ... and less messy....

I've only gotten one dog banter in 3 PTs as well as that was on the latest one and it was Aveline and dog.  Alas... I am also filled with the sad.

I dont know, this was a friendmance for me too. I just happened to click on Leandra and she said that and I menionted this many pages ago...not gonna go dig for the exact quote now but that's pretty much it. right after that quote, all she would say was something about elf friends that i keep around

I normally just lurk but i thought this thread might like my latest artwork, i drew the scene after your mother dies as i found it to be one of the most touching Fenris had left my hawke at that point to sort out his feelings so seeing him return to show he was still there for Hawke was super sweet.

I hope you all like it! Fen is pretty hard to draw

32 here.  A bit oldish for some of my other fandoms, so it's nice to see a range of ages and people who play here.

LOL @ the fangirl flailing in that GE interview.  I think it's sweet when actors can take their public notoriety in good grace.  People have always fangasm'd over people (Elvis Presley, anyone?) but the internet has made it faster and more easily accessible for people to contact other fans.

I'm so glad it "makes my day" for GE to see fan tributes!

I adore Kaidan, he is what brought me to the SN in the first place. I love Alistair too, but there is something VERY compelling about Zev - he isn't the obvious choice but is passionate and true once wooed. He is like the guy all your friends warn you against but turns out to be more faithful than all their husbands/boyfriends put together  And Fen.... well, you know......

Ok so according to the DA wikia, EACH companion in Dragon age 2 has scripted interactions with the dog. I WILL find Fenris's version! This is now my goal!

My husband has no understanding of my fenris obession - even though he has his own ones - *caugh* listening to harry potter on audiobook on a constant loop *caugh caugh* Tali *caugh* Jessica Rabbit *caugh caugh caugh* ! I just tell him he knew what he was getting in to when he met me, unless he thought my massive colllection of games and character figurunes was just because....! lol

I love Alistair (didnt find out the joys of a zev romance until my 8th or so playthough but I am still an Alistair girl, but not as much as I am a Fenris one ! As for ME its has to be Garrus for me - even though femShep's come on to himm scares me !

Oh Mr Darcy  also had a total crush on Mr Thornton from North and south when I first read it

I've made a separate topic on Companion Dog interactions, maybe someone (writers? they occasionally do that! ) will shed some light on what the heck triggers the darn things.

So far from what other people are posting it looks like you can get the banters regardless of what act you are at, so it doesn't look like they are act dependent.

What's left?

Approval dependent? And since people in this thread are never getting the elusive Fenris/dog banter, are we building up his rivalry/friendship too fast so the flag doesn't get set maybe? Seems unlikely since I recall getting Anders banter in act 1 right off the bat after recruiting him. Not enough room for meter progression :/

# of quests/sidequests dependent? A possibility...

total randomness? I'm leaning towards that considering I do completionist playthroughs and so far some companions triggered for me 1/3 or 2/3 times.

P.S. That's a touching picture, Nefily I really like what you did with your Hawke's eyes
