Once more, Fenris shows how smart and cultivated he is.

I think it's pretty awesome how extensive his vocabulary is (he speaks at least three languages) all while never having learned to read. Not to mention the fact that he can hold his own in any ideological/philosophical debate. Fenris is one incredibly intelligent guy.

Yeah.  That one comment he makes, perhaps when you're in Viscount's Keep about power structures (can't quite remember what he said?) made me do one of these when I randomly clicked on him.  I was like okay big brain what other sorts of insightful commentary are you hiding up there.  I know everyone has talked about this already but the first time you go to the Arishok during Blackpowder Courtesy and he recites the Qun, that was the moment when my character knew she was in trouble.  Vivanne Hawke totally got her heart kali-ma'ed (metaphorically of course).  And I was in front of the television doing one of these :o!  I also LOVE Arishok's face when Fenris starts reciting the Qun, lol!  That needs to be an icon! *giggle*

That glowy Tevinter elf is full of surprises!

I will always bring Fenris to talk to the Arishok, every time he laid down some Qun knowledge I swooned. I love that when you bring Fenris it's Fenris that impresses the Arishok, and Hawke earns his respect by extension, as opposed to just another 'Hawke is so awesome everyone loves and respects him/her' moment.

Seriously!  Everytime he says something profound I was all   Fenris popping out with the Qun I stared at the scene and then started swearing because I hadn't saved prior to going in there...every playthrough since, however...I save right before going i, just to hear Fenris speak.

I'm sorry about asking again and being a pain and such but, no one knows if you can get any friendship points being a mage from Fen in Bait and Switch?
(First time being a mage and so far I _dislike_ Carver!)

The less I can get is 10 rivalry points, and I think I've tried it all in the last conversation, I wanna know if this is all or that if it's actually possible and I've screwed it up in some other point!
(And I've been really nice all the time!)

But isn't this the whole point of the game?

@DemonSaya Glad I'm not the only one who does that. Gah! Why did DA2 have so few options to talk with people whenever? To question them? Or even just to click on them and realize that you have nothing else to talk about, but hey look a close up of their face to stare at? *pouts at lost chance to stare a Fenris' face at will*

I don't think it's possible to get friendship points in that conversation. It's just a matter of how many rivalry points you get.
Thankfully, it's very easy to make up those points afterward. Posted Image

Also: Fenris satisfies demands of everyone's Qun. Posted Image

And triple post!  Edit: MEEEP! :D

What do you think Fenris' VA would think of us?
Does he know about all this Fengirlism*?

*or "boyism", I don't want to discriminate anyone! By the way, how many guys are here in the thread? :D

Edit 2: Ty tealsie! I shall continue playing in peace then! I was stuck reloading that moment, lol!

I don't think there's really a way not to get rivalry points while as a mage during that quest. Don't worry about it too much, tho. Those ten points are easy enough to make up.

Many people have said that they reached max friendship by the beginning of act 2, so don't worry if you run into a few bumps along the way.

Thanks :D

I could reach full friendship with him with my warrior quite easily, but I was kind of afraid that it'd be harder with a mage!

I guess it'll be OK as long as I follow the "lines" and let him talk, which won't be much of a hard thing to do!

Or you can play rivalry :P i'm biased though, I adore that path. Still, I think the least amount of rivalry you get from 'survival' and 'find out' options when he asks you what you are after. I love the 'find out' sarcastic response (not sure if it's the same for diplomatic/agressive personality) it sounds like a flirt line :).

I believe it is amor ( by what translators give me ). Ei amor(take on some suffix) would POSSIBLY give "I love" but I cannot pinpoint a proper word for "you" as directed towards a single person.

Makes Danarius seem all the more... desperate? Determined? Creepy? if he managed to track him all that way. granted, it did take him years, but still...

Wikipedia wrote...

Amāre is the basic word for to love, as it still is in Italian today. The Romans used it both in an affectionate sense as well as in a romantic or sexual sense. From this verb come amans—a lover, amator, "professional lover," often with the accessory notion of lechery—and amica, "girlfriend" in the English sense, often as well being applied euphemistically to a prostitute. The corresponding noun is amor (the significance of this term for the Romans is well illustrated in the fact, that the name of the City, Rome—in Latin: Roma—can be viewed as an anagram for amor, which was used as the secret name of the City in wide circles in ancient times),[26] which is also used in the plural form to indicate love affairs or sexual adventures. This same root also produces amicus—"friend"—and amicitia,
"friendship" (often based to mutual advantage, and corresponding
sometimes more closely to "indebtedness" or "influence"). Cicero wrote a
treatise called On Friendship (de Amicitia), which discusses the notion at some length. Ovid wrote a guide to dating called Ars Amatoria (The Art of Love), which addresses, in depth, everything from extramarital affairs to overprotective parents.

Keep in mind, Latin is one of those languages like Spanish, with lots of conjugations of words.  Grammar is important for figuring that out.  So, basically you have 'AMO', which is 'I love' and 'TE' which is 'You'.  In the end, it becomes 'Te Amo'.

I thought the same! She was kind of flirty there, wasn't she?
I guess she was already rawring for him.

I'd say that there's no difference between the lines (regarding paragon/renegade or, er, diplomatic/agressive LOL) unless you get to see the icon on the wheel! I've seen that if you pick one or the other you get to "unlock" responses, but they're usually on the (bottom) left side of the wheel and have the correspondant icon!

LOL, that was awesome. Thanks!

I was worried when I heard the dog was just a summonable DLC thing that he wouldn't be as intigrated as DA:O's dog. I'm glad they gave him a lot of interaction.

Spaniard here.

Actually, "amar" is "to love", which would be the infinitive of the verb. "Amo" would be "I love", meaning that you actually conjugate the person who executes the verb.
(Also, amar is a verb with way of "ye olde spanish" feeling, but it'd be cool for a story settled up in these times)
Not that this matters much in all the Fenris discussion, but I felt I could give my two cents here with reason. :P:lol:

Edit: Also, as far as I can remember Latin has way more conjugations than Spanish, meaning there matter way more things than the time/intention of the action and the person who is executing it but I wouldn't know.
