Off topic, does anyone here play Words with Friends? I'm a little obsessed- may be nice to have some new friends to play with? Dejajeva is the name, if you're interested. We can talk about Fenris! I don't think tevinter is a playable word though.

his apology it kinda...."one for all" kinda thing, like there's not that special dialog about it if you romanced him. I was very disappointed. Also, in my 3rd pt, I purposely took Merrill, Varric and Fenris into the fade with me since they're the only ones that can be tempted by the Pride Demon, and I read somewhere that the companion with the lowest friendship/rivalry score will be the one that's tempted...and Merrill was my weakest link, she was tempted. 

however in my 2nd pt I did take him to the fade with Aveline and Isabella (those are the ones that gets tempted by the Desire Demon) to trigger the tempted scene. I was really disappointed at the fact that it was just that, he was tempted, apologized and that's it. nothing more.

Oh if I only had drawing skills. Came up with an awesome idea while looking at puppies. It involves a little black mabari puppy imprinting on Fenris and the breeder is all "pfffft like it would pick an elf" and hijinks ensue.

OHOH and the puppy would have white kaddis that look like Fenris's tattoos. GOD I WANNA DRAW THIS NOW

Well, I just got up and am eating breakfast. I haven't spent much time on the forum since i got the game. ( Fenris has me preoccupied....) Soon I will be in the Deep Roads again. I plan to kill off Bethany so I can rescue Fen from the kidnappers later....hehe.

I'm there too. I haven't taken Bethany into the deep roads. I completely forgot to get Isabela, so I'm not sure if it's too late to get her now or not. I have completed all of act I's main quests. I'm just trying to decide who to take, but it'll probably be Bethany, Varric, and Fenris, just so I can get the Fenris kidnap scene.

ETA: I just watched the youtube Bethany dying scenes and now I'm not so sure. Bah.

How crowded would the bed get with TWO grown mabari in it? Hawke will just have to buy a bigger one once s/he finally convinces Fenris to move in.

Exactly. I secretly imagine that at least Isabela/Carver and Isabela/Merrill happened.

She probably at least tried with everyone else.  Clear up until Aveline shut her down (with a fist) and Varric caught her fondling Bianca.

However, you have now settled my internal debate about who to take to the deep roads. Take Fen as originally planned to Deep Roads so Liri can rescue him later. Beth will have to wait to become a Warden I'm afraid. I will probably let her go to the circle so I can take Anders because the rivalry between Anders and Fen is pretty awesome.

Question 1: What is Words with Friends?

If you take Beth/Carver to the Deep Roads you have two options: a) they die or they go the Wardens. For to happen, you also need Anders in the party - otherwise a) will always happen. If you leave them at home, they will go to the Circle/Templars. 

And in answer to your questions:
1) WWF is a word game on iPhone/Pod or Android, so if you have a smartphone you can buy the app and play remotely with your friends over the 'net.

2) My first game was 25 hours and I missed out a lot of things because I didn't know what the heck I was doing...I'm about 10 hours in on the second go, early in Act 2, but that's on hold for now - may even abandon that altogether and start over...It depends on your style of play really, I usually do every quest possible - some people only bother with a few interesting ones.

I adore Kaidan, he is what brought me to the SN in the first place. I love Alistair too, but there is something VERY compelling about Zev - he isn't the obvious choice but is passionate and true once wooed. I will one day romance Zevran. Well to be fair Fen's history could be just as colourful as Zevran's but he can't remember and the way he takes Hawke in his arms.... well he seems to know what he is doing. And poor Zev did as he was told growing up....... I personally can't resist a man who knows his way around, iykwim?  I guess when you get past 40 you don't want to be showing them how to do....... things...  
I'm saying this ^ as a Zev convert btw.......... I adore Alistair, I really do, I have only managed to successfully romance Zev recently (thanks to the Zev guru - ejoslin )  and can I say.......... *swoon*  You may not be his first in that way but he sure makes you feel like the only person from that point on.... 
I wonder if there will be some decent DLC that maybe expands our knowledge of the LI in DA II. Maybe we could see some of Fenris's story. I mean it is doubtful since you know.... Morrigan, Leliana, Liara all got their own DLC <_< And nothing for any male characters!

I've got nearly twenty hours logged and still a few quests to do in Act 1 before Deep Roads. I also spend a lot of time going to the merchants and buying/selling stuff and comparing all the gear. I can only play a few hours at a time usually. Although this game feels like the quests never end LOL one night I swear I did about ten quests and then there were ten more in my journal. I guess I shouldn't complain too much because I really disliked that you got stuck in certain areas forever doing one really long ass in DAO like the Circle or Redcliffe etc. However, just when I think it's finally time to go to the Deep Roads more quests pop up.

On Fenris and the Qun, I am so glad I had him with me when I went to meet the Arishok and when I did the Qunari Mage quest for the Templar [insert expletive here]. I kept switching him out when I would get someone new or just to see how other character's interacted, but I would always miss him and put him back. As, I said early it's like he's just this amazing guy who has something profound to say at every turn. I want to take him everywhere so I don't miss out on anything. When I took him to gallows for the first time I was so impressed with his Hawke conversation there. It just feels like he was written to really give Hawke a run for her/his money no matter what.

@jenova65 I so know what you mean. I am 39, and although Alistair is cute, I do go a little rolly eyed over his virginess and somewhat juvenile dialogue with Wynne. It isn't until the end of the game when he finally grows a pair that he actually gets really interesting. Zev is just all man no matter what his past!

I like that Gaider gave Fen a more grown-up personality even though he stuck him with the "I'm not quite sure I know what to do" thing, I think it all comes back to him rather quickly.

I have a topic about the fade betrayals at http://social.biowar...6/index/6559488 though it's still incomplete.

So far it seems like scores have nothing to do with who gets tempted the most. Merrill will always betray you over Varric and Fenris and Fenris will betray you before Varric will.

To get back mroe on topic: I'm glad to get back to the Fenris topic. So much of the forums are currently filled with crap so it's nice to relax in at least one topic. All for the Fenris love, it will conquer!

Waking up in the morning to read 5 pages of Fenris discussion while having morning coffee == Confirmation for oneself that indeed one is obsessed.

Of course once I have caught up on this thread I start DA2 to get some Fenris voice XD
Which only makes my obsession meter climb higher...

I keep being suprised in this playthrough if a Fenris conversation triggers in dialouges. I did get a bunch of them in my first playthrough but I guess not dragging Varric along does give Fenris a better chance at saying something. Fenris, Anders and Sebastian makes for a very funny bunch to run around with. Seems like both Fenris and Sebastian gets annoyed at Anders pokeing them about the whole mage issue. Not to mention the conversation between them two as it is being pretty nice.....

This was one of the things that hooked me originally. Not just in regards to relationships but in general, Fenris seems to be a very mature person.

I like that when you first initiate flirting he doesn't come on too strong, but neither does he get the nervous jitters like a teenaged boy who's never seen a girl. I've seen and enjoyed both in BW games, but I much prefer Fenris' calm, confident approach.

@zee Anjan: I know what you mean! After taking just Fenris with me when confronting Mother Petrice the first time during Offered and Lost and hearing a few lines I hadn't heard, I'm considering doing a casual play taking only Fenris with me everywhere possible to see if I've missed any dialogues.

On a random note... Cutest head tilt ever, y/y?
