I think he looks cool (and is my favorite character reveal thus far), but he kinda reminds me of Shale, Sten and Zevran all smooshed together. Which could be really interesting. Or not. We shall see.

Any one else getting the impression that Fenris getting his memories back will be a serious plot point?

Yeah. That's the part where he remembers his dead wife.

I'm sorry.

what has been mentioned that would even make you guys assume hes a werewolf?

The name, Fenris, and the experimentation on him.

There is a werewolf in Harry Potter series named Fenrir Greyback. Same root origin? Am not really good with Latin...

Yes, it's the same. Fenrir is a variant of Fenris.

Same root origins, yup. Not sure if the root language for Norsemen was Latin. I suck with languages.

That is BEAUTIFUL! Thank you! Am using it now for my desktop. My desktop constantly evolves as more DA art comes out, lol.

Heh, you're very welcome! Glad you like it. ^_^

On Topic, I'm absolutely LOVING Meg's Fenris' new eye colour. It makes my own eye twitch trying to resist doing a fanart close up of them. That pale green is just so... so... /fails to find adjective suitable enough.

They better stay that colour, Bioware. Or else I'll touch your tra la la... with Fenris' sword.

...Okay, that came out wrong.

I noticed that they removed that little 3-dot cluster from his lyrium markings. Along with the tattoos around his neck and chin. And the stubble/scars.

(Course if he's a werewolf, that could be whiskers going back into his muzzle after he's changed back to human form. /speculation)

Fenris is very sexy name, but were quite annoying creatures in Castlevania: Castle of Darkness.

I brought up the werewolf thing three-four pages back, I don't know if somebody mentioned it before then but..

"Once slave to a Tevinter magister, Fenris was altered: lyrium was burned into his flesh, its magic both stripping his memory as well as changing him forever."

"changing him forever."

"He became a living weapon, and eventually used his power to escape his chains"

"living weapon"

"They know what I am. Let them come, if they find the courage."

"what I am."

Those things seem to suggest there's something with him, something special. Including the Fenris name, I assume he's a werewolf. Possibly reverted back to an elf by the Tevinter's experiments.

Well, he doesn't have shoes if you look at the concept art.

So him shape shifting into something wouldn't be that farfetched. Or maybe it's just me

Because his clothes might rip to shreds, but heaven forbid he ruin a pair of shoes. Posted Image He could be a shapeshifter of some kind though. It could be cool.

Shoelessness might be a slave thing. So they can't run far or so they can wear big shackles.

Something else that catches my eye... He's got sort of clawed-gauntlets... Which could... I don't know. My brains going nuts with all the awesomeness that has come of today. Fenris, combat walk-through, Varric showing off his stuff with Bianca... I'm going to need a nap from all the excitement.

The image on the right, with his right hand. I'm talking about the gauntlet. Looks like claws.

Well, a tragic NPC who was brutalized by the Tevinter mages is always appealing in the sense my PC will want to take him out drinking and find him a girlfriend (Isabella/Aveline- you have been warned). Or a puppy.

The question is does what was done to him make him a tragic figure or a bitter figure.

Are we going to have to deal with his former 'owner'? That could answer some questions about his past and so on.

I like and approve of this theory. I kind of hope this is true, it would be really interesting.

I don't want another Zevran either but I wouldn't mind him being an M/M option (granted of course that a hot human male warrior doesn't show up).

And that Fenris is a warrior and not a rogue.

That fights without armor <_<...

Ehh, personally I'm hoping more of a Wolverine-type character. Tough as nails and twice as angry. I don't really like tragic-broken-woe companions.

Indeed. My mage will enjoy reminding him of the horrors he endured under the Tevinters.

It's not really his fault as much as all those other white haired pretty boys.

David Gaider has said that Meg Fenris is not a mage.

His quote suggests "Bring it" to me, so Meg...I mean Fenris, seems like a Wolverine sort of fellow more so. Maybe.

How come? the design sems to be run-of-the-mill DnD elf and his backstory sounds like BioWare LI ... I mean its like Kaiden, Thane and Zevran combined.
