Wheeee, I can post, finally : D
Anyway, hi everyone 83 I've been lurking for awhile, but I was having trouble registering my game, so I couldn't post :/
I've played through the game twice, both as a SarcasticFem!Hawke, once as a rogue and once as a mage, and both time I friendmanced Fenris X3
I was going to ramance Anders, I was seriously waiting until the moment I could glomp him, or something, and then this happened:
Hawke> I think you're cute

Anders> No, don't go there.

I will BREAK YOU'RE HEART, FOR SRS!!!!
Hawke> ...I... just... [backs away]
And then she met Fenris, and the rest is history XD
I think I'll only ever Friendmance him, he gets pretty adorable :>
Anyway, as I was lurking, I grabbed some quotes, which I felt like replying to in my own silly way. So forgive me for how long this is going to be X3
I think the game tried to be grey, but in the end you made a black and white choice: Side with Orsino or side with Meredith. It's not even really about siding with mages or templars. There is no real diplomatic solution, or one where mages aren't presented as crazy lunatics (Orsino, Grace, Anders, DuPuis). I felt no real ambivalence for siding with the templars, even as a mage. Fenris is right. Mages are bad. I wish I could have made Orsino and Meredith fight each other while I drank a bottle of Danarius's wine.
Dude, I'm pretty sure Fenris drank it all.
Or used it to paint the walls of his mansion x3
He just has to be a martyr. It's sad that I can't just hand him over to Cullen or something. Frankly I think tranquilizing him (if it's even possible) would've been a far more fitting result of his actions than that lame stab in the back.
Especially given how narmy it was, for me, at least. He almost looks like he's smiling, or something, and his eyes don't close all the way :/
I actually suspected Orisno's being not a good guy when I saw the 'Letter From the Circle' during "All that Remains". It was sighed 'Your friend, -O' or something to that effect. Then I met Orsino and it didn't click...until the second playthrough, when I sided with the templars and got the 'Hey, that ****** killed my mumsie' option.
I need to side with the templars, just so I can get that option.
WTF, Orsino. WTF. I still tend to side with the mages, because I DO think Meredith is TOO much. But I enjoy killing Orsino every time.
He was my favorite NPC, I was so depressed when I had to kill him.
Unless he messes up or learned the words wrong or somesuch, and winds up saying that he/she wants cheese, or something. It would result in The Eyebrow, and poor Hawke would feel terrible because Fenris has obviously rejected him/her
Fenris> [squints for a second] I'm... going to assume you meant something else?
Hawke> I-No! No I didn't!
Fenris> Oh, forgive me then, I didn't know you had such a love affair with cheese.
Hawke> [eye twitch] I hate Arcanum
Well, I just got up and am eating breakfast. I haven't spent much time on the forum since i got the game. ( Fenris has me preoccupied....) Soon I will be in the Deep Roads again. I plan to kill off Bethany so I can rescue Fen from the kidnappers later....hehe.
Omg, same, 'cept with Carver... it makes me feel pretty terrible. Really, I think that the LI should be chosen over your sister/brother. I mean, Bethany's in the Circle (or the wardens) and Carver is a templar (or warden), they'd probably be surrounded by people... except I suppose the people surrounding them are the would be kidnappers... TT;
Does making your sibiling a Warden also mean your LI gets kidnapped, by the way?
