Then again our little monster of a PC is hooked up to our 42" HD TV so it makes for awsome gaming experiance. xD

Aye, I even noticed that in the scene where the make out against that wall she even stands on her toes and thus is slightly taller then him. I would probably say that Fenris is taller then the average Male elf - it sort of fits with his choice of weapon and such - but still no taller then Female Hawke... XD

I can't speak for the rest of the fandom, but I have two reasons:

1) Fenris uses manly towering-over-you-techniques more than once in the game, who am I to deny that of him in fanarts? Seriously, take note, somehow he always manages to seem like he's looking at Hawke from above.

Funny that, today I've seen several Fenarts where Fenris was shorter/smaller than Hawke, both female and male Hawkes.

I dunno about shorter then my female Hawke, I actually see him being about her size. He does look smaller when you walk around but then he is hunched over and barefoot where everyone else walks straighter and has boots on. xD

He should definantly be build leaner then Hawke, even if he probably is in pretty good shape compared to the everyday alienage elves you meet in the game. But compared to Hawke and other Humans he definantly should be build morr narrow over hip and shoulder...

I actually think it's possible for Fenris to be taller than Lady Hawke, if only by an inch or two ... mostly because he's hunched over quite a bit. He slouches like one of my friends ... and said friend gains like, 3" when he straightens his back.

High-five, sister in PC gaming! Our system is fairly similar with a gaming PC hooked to a 50" HD TV and surround sound system. Man, gaming is sweet from the couch like that...

On a completely unrelated note, I fried our sound card yesterday. I think the poor sod just couldn't take any more low, rumbling man-voices... needless to say, I panicked at the implied lack of Fenris voice and stormed the neares comp store for a new sound card. I wouldn't have believed that Fenris could possibly sound any better, but I stand corrected. He sounds even sweeter now.

Agreed, and here's a piece of official concept art exploring the racial differences:


If you compare an elven male to a human female, there isn't much of a difference in standard size. However, seeing how that's only a standard, I really have no trouble with people drawing the height differences slightly differently in either direction. So Hawke's a little shorter, or Fenris just an inch or two taller, or both, or vice versa, and we've got all the possible height scenarios covered. Well, except for Qunari-to-Elf sort of scenarios, but I haven't seen one of those in Fenris/Hawke fanarts yet.

Tried it once, and never again... then again I trey to avoid having to draw clothes as well... so.. yeah...

I only play on the PS3, only Oblivion lives on my PC. But I can see the attraction of hooking a really good PC to a big TV and going for it - but I don't know...having played on a console for a long time *coughtwentysomethingyearscough* it's hard for me to reorient to play on the PC

I just know it frustrates me way to much for me to want to bother with it...

On a second note, I'm finding that I must have very high demands on Fenris art. Been looking on deviant art and there are only a few pictures so far taht jumps out at me... Sadly way to many Fenrises looks way to young for me to buy it. XD
I like him because he feels a little older... So when he looks like a teenager or something in a picture I don't really feel like its him..

You don't need to worry about me.  I like to draw men that look like men.  Maybe not burly and bulky, but still...men.

Saya (&others) - I'm so with you on this. Men that look like men = . Sure Fenris is pretty, but still distinctively male.

Also agree on the age issue, I've had the same 'problem' of lot of fanart putting me off because he's so teenagey.

Hi everyone, I can't catch-up with the thread properly till later as I am actually having to do work

1-Does anyone have or know a link to a transcript of the Fen conversation early in Act2 where he first tells you about escaping and then if you are in rivalmance with him talking about how he sees Hawke? If you can message it to me that would great! I want to write a new FenFic on this scene with his proper dialogue but new dialogue for Hawke. It was ok, but I didn't feel it had real dramatic oomph from her side. I mean she never says what she sees in him so it felt a bit one sided.

2-I dunno if you are tired of Fentracks yet, but I added these to my own list the am Walk Away (accoustic) by Franz Ferdinand and Unconditional by The Bravery (sorry no links can't launch YouTube at the moment.

@DemonSaya: I've seen your style and like it.

I just get annoyed at it. Might be that I don't find it attractive - and Fenris should be attractiv. But I also have something of a general issue with the art style where everyone looks like teenagers (even if they are not) its never appealed to me.
Guess it has to do with the fact that I myself always have wanted to come as close to reality as possible... Sort of kills any chance of discovering a style of my own sadly but thats the way it is...
