It's the way Fenris gives up without a fight. And how he doesn't even get angry at Hawke. He pleads with him/her, begs to not abandon him. And then you get the letter that Danarius wiped his memories. Again. And Fenris is 'back to his obedient self'.

Yeah...I'm just going to skip that, for the same reason that I've never let Alistair get dragged off to be executed either. Since what is seen cannot be unseen, I'm choosing not to see it in the first place. I don't have the intestinal fortitude and would be sobbing like a baby.

As an aside, I also want a "punch Anders in the face" button - he launched into that whole "What do you see in Fenris" bit with Fenris RIGHT THERE (working on my canon Rogue right now)...I wish I could have just decked Anders and been done with it.  

Just curious what quest or situation does this come up in with Fenris?

Actually, it's in 'Justice', when you go to look for the Sela Petrae.  "Alone" is Fenris's quest.  If romancing Fenris, once you get to the sewers, Anders will inquire about what you see in Fenris, giving you three options (It's over, MYOB, You don't know him).  If in your party and you select the 'Don't know him' option, Fenris will step in and comment as well.

Also, about the item tied down by the scarf...I will message Gaider with a request for knowledge regarding that, then share the results (or he will) on the forum...we'll see.

No, you don't. After the first love scene a new version of his armor spawns and you get a message to that effect. That's all.

He gets an armor upgrade.  I get all sorts of uncomfortable images from that name associated with Fenris x Hawke first time in the sack.  lol

^ Total agreement.  That would also be /really/ OoC for Hawke... my Smartass!Hawke, at least.  I could see her giving him the scarf as a lul, but not... hair.

I don't think it looks like a lock of hair. I think the scarf itself is pretty cool- like my boyfriend and I both wear claddaugh rings- symbols of each other for each other. I bet it's just something on his armor. I choose not to look too deeply into it just in case it is something overtly creepy- but I really highly doubt it's anything weird if it's anything at all. Fenris is just too rad for that nonsense.

Oh, also, I just assume that the favor stays on and unmessed up for the same reason that he wears the exact same armor for 6 years with no sign of wear. And why Isabella goes around with no pants or armor of any sort and survives. And why Varric parades around with his chest hair.

LOL  You don't have to explain.  I have Southern roots as my mom would say.  I was raised a military brat, buy my mom's family is from NC, and I lived a LOT of my life in southern states.  My husband and brother sometimes poke fun at me because they're from Minnesota, so even with my generally 'neutral' accent, some of my words are still pronounced in a very Southern way.  Like cement.

I do like the red scarf idea though...since Hawke's champion armor on all classes has that red scarf. Well, not so much the rogue one, too much red, can't pinpoint the red scarf...but on the warrior and the mage it's really easy to notice

ugggghhh... I'm no good with this. I have a serious weak spot for sketchy work... but seeing this painted would be lovely too.
