While the lines are different, Zevran definitely says to both males and females that he prefers women. His line for males is something like, "If I had my druthers I'd say I prefer the curves of a woman, but I'm not about to let society dictate what's right." That's not it exactly, but I'm too lazy to open the toolset to look it up.[edit: actual line is, "Given my druthers I would say I prefer a soft and shapely woman, but I know what I am. I will not discount anyone solely because of what someone else tells us is right or wrong."]
And Fenris does NOT say he has never had sex with anyone. Even if he's talking about sex (and to me, that conversation sounded like closeness or caring for someone, NOT sex), he says he has no memories of before, and has not let anyone close since he escaped.
Fenris does not strike me as virginal. His approach to Hawke was too assured -- his getting together with isabela where she talks about how good a lover he is... same thing. I was actually surprised that people thought he was talking about being a born again virgin on the forums -- I had to replay the conversation to see if I missed something.
Not to mention his party banter with Isabela. I think Fenris has had sex before, but not with anyone he cares deeply about.
Exactly. The two banters with Isabela I think are telling. Of course, you could always say in the first he's lying to her, but the second -- if it were his first time, or second time, it doesn't seem like this very experienced woman would be talking like it was some of the best sex she's had.

I got the impression he had slept with some fog warriors, the only thing about them beign "free with their affections" and whatnot.
I got that feeling as well.
To me, though, what is important about that conversation with him is that he has kept himself at a distance from everyone. Hawke is the first person he's actually letting get close to him. In an emotional way. He's letting the walls come down with Hawke. I think it's far more touching if he's talking about emotional intimacy rather than physical intimacy.
