Another one of those longtime lurkers (reading this forum on my phone does make the work day go faster), posting and sending a request to the FB group. And I come bearing Fen-fic as a gift - halfway finished, will finish the rest today or this weekend in between basketball games. http://social.biowar...667/blog/17250/ Have enjoyed the wonderful, well-reasoned debates about Fenris' character here - it has greatly enhanced my enjoyment of the game and the character. Only wish I could get spotify (in US) and the playlist...sigh.

So I was doing a new walkthrough of DAO, and I was surprised to hear Fen.

Apparently our favorite elf was lurking around Lothering before Hawke left.


((And for those who don't get it, Gideon Emery has done the voice for various DAO charries, such as Tamlen and the shopkeeper in the Denerim alienage. The Lothering guard was simply the one that sounded like Fen))

I know it is been said before but I cant wait for a DLC to come up,i would like to see how the Hawk- Fenris relationship will evolve,maybe they will move in together,ican imagine Varric teasing them all the timeB),Sandal make enchantements all day long,the mabari will be late at nights because it would play cards with varric........

I just listened to an audio book narrated by Gideon while starring at my Fenris desktop image... dawwww... I almost died! His voice is so damn sexy... nnngngngnhhnaaa... @_@

Gideon Emery didn't play Tamlen. Maybe then I might have known what my Mahariel saw in him.

I think you might have meant Taliesen?

!!!!  You're right!  He did voice Taliesen!  I never would have guessed that.

Urgh, the character I love to hate the most and my second favorite character in the dragon age series have the same VA.  That's actually pretty funny.  My opinion of his talent as a voice actor just went up a whole lot.

I have a sinking suspicion that with whatever DLC might be put out it would probably revolve around the time skip years. They left themselves sizable chunks of time they could throw any haphazard story into. And it seems to be a general consensus across the entire boards that people cant understand the statis thing. And the whole relationship awkwardness.

So I would figure bioware would do something along the lines of fleshing out romances and also letting us know exactly what hawke was up to in those unspoken of years.

Just my two cents.

Unfortunately, female gamers and the pixelmen we love are often neglected. (ahem, WH and LS -- does ME2 have a DLC for the male romances or just the female one? Since I don't play ME2 I don't keep track.) I fully expect Merrill to be prominent in a DLC, and most likely Isabela. Fenris and Anders, I'm not so sure about, especially Fenris because he is the most optional of the companions (Isabela plays a role recruited or not).

But I AM hoping. I would love to have those in between years fleshed out!

And a toolset. Oh please please, a toolset!

Only DLC I know of for ME2 was the Overlord and uhh... the other one I cant remember. Arrival? Which is to bridge the gap between ME2 and the upcoming ME3.

Overlord was just a mind****; no romance involved. And I dont have Arrival yet.

Well what's to say they could include it? They might have had more fleshed out parts to the game then EA pushed them to get it out; thus they cut it. Best to include their true ideas in DLC, imo.

The biggest problem most people have with the game, at least people I talk to, is that it seems rushed. Which I attibute to EA. DA:O was in development for forever, and we got DA2 2 years later. Seems like a rush.

There's Lair of the Shadow Broker where the Liara romance continues a little(?). At least that's what I've heard. I haven't had a chance to try it out yet.

That was my point -- I knew I heard of a female romance being built on for ME2.  DAO had no DLC for Alistair or Zevran though both Morrigan and Leliana had DLCs devoted to their stories, and ME2 doesn't have any for the male love interests either.  So I'm not too optimistic about Fenris or Anders getting DLC luvin.  I hope I'm wrong, though. 

Edit: Gah, this sounds like sour grapes.  I don't mean it to be.  I guess I'm still feeling a bit crushed over the Zevran neglect!

Lair of the Shadow Broker had a little advancement for the romances.  Mostly Liara but that was fair since she was just a cameo in ME2 itself.  But Liara also talks to you about your LI, and there was a cuddle scene added that was a little... erm, awkward.  It was good that they made the effort.

Since I've been trying to play Arrival (the last ME2 DLC that just came out) and bored to tears with it, it reminds me that if you don't have your squad with you, it automatically cuts down on enjoying the DLC.  I hope they realize that and make an effort to give us our team members in some capacity.

And that's why I don't like EA. When they get a good title out, they almost always rush the sequel. They've gotten so money greedy over the years it's not even funny. They're ruining good titles right now and I don't think they give a crap

Ahhh, ok then!  Adding a bit of cuddling can be a good thing (in fact, that would make me extremely happy).

I'll get ME2 once the Ulimtate Edition is released for it.  So anything I say about ME2 has to be taken as most likely wrong
