Oh right! Shadow broker- well it wasnt so much a romance as  more of a Witch Hunt type of scenario. If your Sheppard romanced her in the first one; you'd get a kiss from Liara after the quest was over. It's not like she'd come back to your place for bow-chika-wow-wow.

...Guess she could have though. She did come back to my FemShep's captain's cabin and sat on her bed and talked about old times.

But I do see your point- any companion related DLC tends to shy towards the 'guys like girls; and guys are our primary buying source. Give them DLC for their game girlfriends so we can make money' mindset.

I HOPE there'd be Fenris but now I'm reluctant to believe.

I don't get that business model at all, tbh.  You make more money pleasing existing customers provided you have a large enough base.  The most expensive part of building a new franchise is, well, building the new franchise.  If you put out products to strengthen said franchise, even if it takes a bit more development time, you end up with a longer lasting series which ultimately is more profitable.

Edit: Gah, this sounds like sour grapes.  I don't mean it to be.  I guess I'm still feeling a bit crushed over the Zevran neglect!

It was pretty crushing when Luke Kristjansen admitted here that they had considered an Alistair recruitment DLC.    Liara was "sort of" female, but was a bisexual option in ME and unlike Garrus was not a carry-over into ME2 except as a cameo/ quest-giver.  So all in all, since we got a Garrus romance in ME2, I think the women players got a big ol' smooch.   And neither Kaidan nor Ashley (ME1 romances) were available as team members in ME2.

I don't think Fenris would go through all that trouble of staying in Kirkwall, wearing Hawke's favor, consoling him / her, and standing by him / her in the end battle when he doesn't have to just to shack up with Isabela -- or any other potential sexual interest, for that matter.

I thought of that... and if you don't have the romance going, and it ended on the valued friendship terms, he would and still be linked to Isabella. At least for a while I think... grrrr a new dlc will hopefully include whatever got cut out in a new way so it makes more sense with the time gap!

It's nice if your romanced Liara so theres closure...and if not she talks to you about your LI...but it doesn't feel right. However, your ME1 LI is suppose to return in ME3 anyways...I just hope it'll be more in depth and more integrated with the storyline

But really though...like ejoslin said Im going to be hopeful with DLCs that fills the gap...but I don't know....

You should. It's an excellent DLC even for people who didn't romance Liara. Well, it's great as long as you liked/were friends with Liara.

Well, I do hope I'm wrong and that they give us Fenris luvin with a DLC; I'm just not expecting it, and especially not a romance DLC.  I'm not sure that Garrus was a romance in ME1, though (was he?  I have NO clue -- I thought he was not, and that was new to ME2 but again, I haven't played the series).  

It's why I'm hoping for a toolset.  If we're going to get kisses and hugs (and there ARE hug animations fortunately), they'll probably come from modders.  I would love to have a kiss at the mansion and a hug while out and about (and I can see Fenris giving a fast hug or a quick passionate kiss while out and about for some reason -- I don't think he'd shy from very brief moments of PDA once everything is settled between him and Hawke).  Or in act two, if the romance is started, a quick hand squeeze.  I'm not sure how feasible that all would be wtih a toolset, but without one, it won't happen at all.

Douche. I never played ME1 (As I lack a Xbox, ps3 alla the way) so when they gave me the option in the opening comic to plan what I wanted to do- I said my FemShep loved him... wow.. that ended well. To quote my facebook post about my trophy:

"Wow, Kaidan Alenko is a ****ing ass. Dude, I made my Shepard your space girlfriend and you treat me like **** after I finally find you. Way to go jackoff. ITS TOTALLY OVAR."

Garrus was a team member in ME1 but not a romance.  He's also the best LI in the series but I am hopelessly biased- I played ME basically for him.    So all in all, ME was kind to female players IMO, at least for hetero options.  A lot of people like the Thane romance, too.

LotSB was good for all the romances, not just Liara's.  Liara comes to your cabin and if she was Shepard's LI in ME1, there's a kiss.  If Shepard is in a different romance, there's a dialogue about it.  Her interaction about Garrus was really sweet.

It's why I'm hoping for a toolset.  

I hope we get a toolset, too.  The experience between Origins and ME was so different because the latter couldn't (easily) be modded.

No garrus wasn't a li in me1 unfortunately, but at least my Femshep got her man in me2! Arrival was a really bad dlc, but in shadow broker it was nice to at least talk about your li with liara

I would love to see some dlc that includes more romance, but I am not going to hold my breath, although a lot of people seem to want it and bioware is generally quite good at listening to its fans !

My Shep was good friends with her but never romanced her. And I have ME2 on my xbox but it red ringed on me a while back so I haven't been able to play it

I have a  3 saves one with Garrus being my LI, one with Thane and one with Kaidan, still can't romance anyone but Fenris in DA2, 

all the saves I have without Kaidan i've "cheated" on him, I want him and Garrus to fight over my Shep mwhahaha

Since he's voiced by Nathaniel Howe's VA, my Hawke might have spent more than 2 seconds with him.  But she'd be dictating phrases.  "Say 'does this please you?'  Ok, now say 'have you got a point, mage?'  Try 'little boy dreams'... good, excellent!'"  The things we do while we wait for Fenris to come around.   

I played "A Bitter Pill" on the friendship path last night, and while Fenris is calmer, he also seems sadder.  The glowy wall push also seems to come out of the blue, whereas I believe it more with a rivalry.  And, "I just wanted to be happy, for a little while" is kind of a jerkish thing to say as he's walking out the door- like it's all about him.  I really think I'm going to always prefer the rivalry romance.  Partly it's because I like my first Hawke better and this chick seems like an impostor.
