That was totally Doug, who I love a lot, because he is Doug and he voices many great characters.



But I'm still holding out for Crispin Freeman, or maybe Tony Baker, or if he's English the one tankgirly likes, the one who played Prince Nuada, he'd be good too.

Tony does have a peachy voice. I'm not really leaning towards Crispin however. In my opinion, I hear him a lot in stuff and his voice typically doesn't change.

I won't really be crushed if it isn't Freeman (or any of them), I just happen to have a giant fangirl crush on him, because he is nerdy.



I haven't actually heard a lot of Tony, just what I have heard is splendid.

What if he is? But it doesn't matter, there are a lot of characters than aren't LIs and have a huge fanbase (see Sten, Anders etc.)

But i am sure Mr Gaider's hand was twitching to write a romance like this :OAnd torture us by killing him or something...

Well, he's a little like Valen in some respects. I wanted to have a more stoic character, and never really got the opportunity to explore that fully with Valen.

Beyond that there are a couple of characters that I was inspired by, but I'd hesitate to mention them simply because people read way too much into that. Some folks who hear "inspired by" read it as "is an exact copy of" and that's nothing of the sort. The parts of a character that I find interesting and inspiring might seem entirely incidental to someone else, and regardless of my inspiration the character I wrote may have ended up somewhere else anyhow (as with Zevran and his "Spike of Buffy" inspiration).

Really? I loved Valen! Especially in a party with Deekin (although there were some choice lines with Nathyrra too).
Funny thing is I started out not liking him much thinking he was too stuck up but just being courteous was enough to actually get to know him and I ended up loving his character!

I'm all excited now I hope there's a character similar to Deekin to offset the "seriousness" as well, but if not, I guess that is what the main character is for.

In their art, elves are shown as taller. Males are shown about as tall as a human female.

Judging by the screenshot we have of Fenris & party with Anders-look-alike, Fenris looks just about as tall as a human man.
