But there is something really sexy about rivalry and romance. It's a bit unhealthy, but I'm sure they work it out eventually.

@Anny That made my morning. I can't imagine what Varric would say if he was there.

I prefer to friendmance him though. Rivalmance is definitely sexy and seems to be very passionate, but I can't not be nice to this guy; he seems to loosen up around Hawke if you go the friendmance route.

If you play through more with the humerous/charming responses do you think it makes more for a friendmance or rivalmance?

Ebidebby hi!I only friendmanced him,only in the final video that i took the pic tried all the 3 responces just to check them out,but i watched the rivalmance way in utube and in the posts here and it is indeed very sexy!Fenris makes both ways irresistible,it is his mojo!
I am loosing control again,could i please have some of those elf cookies i saw mentioned before,just to get in the Fenris grooveB)

So is Anders. What's your point? She's playing with blood magic and gets her (potentially) whole clan killed because she's to ignorant(or childish) to stop ;p


Fenris is absolutely right in his distrust of her ;p

My hawk on the other hand, finds her irrisitibly puppish, and this always rivals her because she's genuinly concerned!

Merril does have it coming.  Her decisions are impossibly stupid and she deserved to be called out on them. Fenris has seen the worst that blood magic and demons can do and is frustrated that she can't forsee the consequences.  There were times my Hawke just wanted to pick her up and shake her.

Question; I was thinking of buying the ultimate collection dragon age origins so I can finally play awakening. I have a DA:O save file; anyone know if you can import that into the ultimate collection? And just start at Awakening? While I wouldnt be very angry; I'd prefer to just get right into awakening wiht my canon warden; instead of making up the same girl and then going and doing everything over again.

Rivalry isn't like disaproval. Its not nessisarly a bad thing to have rivals. Especially with merrill. When she's at 100% rivalry she smashes the mirror and admits that everyone was right, that blood magic and the mirror are going to do nothing more then continue to distroy her life.:innocent:

You don't nessisarly even have to be mean to people to have a rivarly-ship. They like you, trust you, and are loyal.. but they don't nessisarly agree with your choices. They're not going to leave you if you rival them. In fact, more companions leave by being wishy washy, then they do if you pick a path and stick to it ;p

@ rivalry - I still don't understand why people shy away from rivalry. It's possibly my favorite aspect of the game, the ability to actually play the way I want to without having to cater to the demands of my followers if I want them to stick around. I'm just wrapping up a run where I max rivaled everyone, and I discovered some incredibly cool stuff about certain companions that just doesn't come out if you're in a friendship. Both routes are fantastic imo.

I also bought the ultimate edition after having a steam failure for mods DAO version, I just saved the character file, and when i reinstalled the ultimate edition, i transfered the character file [ warden i wanted to save ] to the newly installed character file and presto all my stuff was there.

I want to rival friend Isabela, Anders and Merril but... when I see that red icon and text I just go D:. Will have to do it properbly this playthrough. Merril and Anders is easy, but Isabela seems difficult to get rival with without being an ass to her.

OO I also liked Carver, he was funny in a sometimes annoying way. I prefer him as well to Bethany, she is a lil sweetie but not much personality , however its not like I interact with her much either, cuz well, i always seem to have same party members along.... Fenris, Varric and Anders. I wish Anders was less whiny to be honest, i miss the cool Alistair like ANders from DAA

YA i just did the rivalmance, itwas fun to see the different conversations, but i think i prefer the friendshipmance too. He iniates the kiss in sexy times instead of Hawke having to be the one to leap forward, that speaks volumes in my head cannon . I dont like if Hawke has to be the sole aggressor, but OO the comments are funny in different conversation choices . Snarky is totally growing on me. Am I talking to much>? I so want u guys banners... Torax and Helen tried to help me set some up but im to pc idiotic to make it work lol

An other cute face is just before this one: when you chose the flirt option for his future (I think  that the line is "Stay with me" or something like that") and when he says " It is my hope, as well" with one of the cutest smile I ever seen in my whole life...<3

I prefer the friendmance too, because I can't imagine (or very hard) a real love with more yells... I know this is stupid, but I can't change who I am
