I know this is rather random, but I just thought of something. You know in DA: O, your companions can give you gifts, if you romance them, I mean. Alistair gives you a rose and Zev gives you an earring (best conversation ever, for me x3)
I don't know what the girls give you, since I never romanced them, but not the point.

If Fenris gave Hawke a gift, what do you think it'd be?
I'm thinking some sort of bracelet, that's enchanted to do something awesome.

editL: Here's a Fenris, with a sparkling Seb, because Seb deserves to sparkle.

I think it's safe to say that Fenris is an awesome person to dream over, but would actually be a fairly unhealthy relationship in real life. Like most tasty fantasy relationships.

I think he'd give Hawke a less tangible gift. Like...oh, I dunno. A surprise walk to a field of wildflowers, maybe? I think he's the type to secretly like wildflowers.

I leave you with this: Its not done, but I am proud of myself for getting this far.

Zevran is nothing but an assassin with a questionable motive who could easily be manipulating Hawke for any number of reasons, as far as Fenris knows. I don't think he'd always react that way to just anyone propositioning Hawke.

Well, I hope not, he basically threatened to kill him 8D;
He'd probably glare at anyone who tried, and that'd probably ward them off, unless they were drunk. In which case, Hawke can handle herself. :>

Yep, jealous Fen is awesome though. "That depends. How much do you wish to test that luck of yours?" Total win.

As an aside, yes, it comes off as possessive rather than protective to me as well. It is absolutely delicious and totally understandable though. I'd probably feel the same way, as well.

It is possessive.  I mean, it's not that Zevran propositions Hawke first, after all...  Hawke has flirt in their first conversation, and that comment about manhandling is pretty suggestive.

I like that he doesn't get upset with her flirting -- just when it goes a little further than friendly.

@ Azakais: Depends on the romance style I think. But I feel like my Hawke would get way too protective (WILL NOT LOSE HIM). So I kind of agree with you :/

Also, that looks wonderful. I like how his markings are glowing :3

I'm liking the Friendmance. Seen it on youtube before, but I like it better seeing it on my TV with my Hawke. It's so sweet, I like it better then the agressive rivalmance.
Oh, I wrote this, because both him and my Hawke are wine-a-holics : Drunk On Wine
Tell me what you think of it, I'm not sure if I got Fenris in character...even for a drunk. Posted Image

Yeah, having gone through one obsessive-holycrap marriage, I'm speaking from experience. Poor boy is damaged goods, but nothing says that his problems cant be repaired.

I have a huge weakness for tortured pasts.

Thanks for the kudos. I almost colored the dancing one but this was calling out to me.

Valen and Fenris are pretty similar as far as I see them. I fear the reprisal of the masses for saying this, but I think fandom has really worked Valen into a squishy, blushing, bumbling sissy in a lot of cases, but the Valen I saw was a lot more temperamental and mature than all that. Too much of the fiction I've seen about him reminds me of (Origins') Cullen with horns and a tail. That's great if that's your thing - it's just not mine.

The biggest difference between Valen and Fenris, though, would have to be tainted blood vs anger management. Valen is more like Janders in that regard - having a part of himself that is both the same and other than him, the inner demon that urges him in directions he doesn't necessarily wish to go. Fenris, on the other hand, doesn't have that "excuse" (though I don't think he himself would ever see his anger as an excuse) for the way he behaves and reacts. And the missing memories shapes him differently, too. Valen is already actively striving against his nature to become a better man, while Fenris still doesn't have a clue what that means imo. At least in the early stages of the game.

Good Lord...someone mentions Valen and I start babbling. :pinched:

Babble away.  I feel cheated that I never played those games and missed out.  :)  It's kind of hard to go back, though, since the mechanics are so different and feel very awkward.

I do see Fenris' struggle as so ingrained that it's practically part of his nature.  The more I think about it, the more I like that they made him with a natural hunch to his back.  It's a signal that a lifetime of slavery doesn't disappear overnight or even in years.  Back in the day, workmen's bodies would literally be deformed by repeated physical wear.  Living as a slave with a collar would leave its imprint on someone even apart from the lyrium in him.

Yea, one of my favorite lines from him is:
'If there is a future to be had, I will walk into it gladly by your side.'
I don't know if that is in the Rivalmance, but it made me love the romance, since I think it sort of cements his growth as a character. He's really willing to leave the past behind him if he has a future with Hawke.

And I understand, there's something about that picture...
I love it so much, the markings match the ones he already has so well >3

About the Zevran propositioning Hawke and Fenris threatening + giving evil eye (because he TOTALLY has a evil eye when he says it) to Zevran:

I see it as both protective and possessive. Protective because Zevran's an assassin-- for all we know, he /could/ actually be freelancing and got a bounty for Hawke and could use that time where he "gets to know Hawke" to simply kill her/him. You also have no idea what these guys have going on in their pants. *Whistles innocently*

Possessive though, because he seriously doesn't want to share his lover with anyone else. Technically, Hawke (or Hawke's heart for saps like me) is the first thing he's really gotten the chance to have and keep (despite all the things that happened), and I don't see him giving it up easily. Also, I know personally, if some chick came up to my boyfriend and asked him if he'd like to "get to know her better", I wouldn't even have had the grace to just threaten her. I would've simply knocked her teeth out.

Hadriana is ridiculously gullible for a magister involved in constant backstabbing and intrigue (maybe that's why she was so bad at it?). I mean, come on.  Did ANYONE look at the face he was making and think he was telling the truth? :P

It is in the rivalry version. In fact (imho!) it makes the rivalry path that much more rewarding after numerous reinforcements that 'we are not friends' and 'we don't always see eye to eye' and 'this shouldn't have happened'.
Just makes the admission that much more monumental, I think.

In all my playthroughs I've yet to do anything else than let him deal Hadriana himself. :P
And honestly, if he gave his word and kept it, I'd murder Hadriana the moment he stepped away from her :P

Well, it's not like she had any other choice, at that point. Other than going abom, I mean.
edit: Not that I don't agree, of course XD

& @ Rheia: That's pretty awesome. :wizard:

Wai do I have the wizard smilie, you ask? Because it's the best smile, along with Bandit smilie, I think they are friends

Oh I would too and I always let him make the decision himself. All I'm saying is...

Request time again!

Hope y'all don't mind my picture spam. This is another brainchild of Namuri. And I suck at pacing out caption dialogue, so it's numbered. Otherwise it doesnt make sense.

I think this is fun. And I seem to draw a different Hawke every time she's in one of these.

Have another point to put in favor of Fenris vs Anders.

At least we know Fenris's real name.
