The Sith code is one of selfishness, while the Jedi code is one of selflessness. Both are flawed :/ one causes you to think only of the end goal. Of doing whatever it takes to do what you wish, and the other denies you the right to have desires for yourself.

which is loads of bull either way...you can't have one without the other. can't discard human nature like that

Exactly. Neither side is right. You cannot make humanoids emotionless beings nor can you just let their passions rule them. You have to draw a fine line between the two.

and as for the Sith/Jedi thing... it's the same old tired division of 'good' and 'evil'. There is no such thing as absolute good or absolute evil, there's just humans - we all inhabit a space somewhere between the two extremes.
Thus it's fruitless to think of the Jedi way as an ideal as it is completely unattainable; exactly as the Sith path is beyond even the most 'evil' of humans.

What do we know about Fog Warriors, anyway? Other than they are rebel groups in Saheron jungles? Are they Tal-Vashoth? Tevinters who rebel against the Imperium? Fenris' fascination with them stemmed from his time with them and tasting their freedom, but I don't think I saw anything else on the subject.

I want to know about this too.  I wonder if they are some kind of liberal qunari group.  They don't seem like they abandoned the qun all together if they bothered to teach it to Fenris.  But, they don't sound like they are associated with the mainstream qunari either.  Perhaps they are rebelling against the rule of any group over Seheron and want independence.

Now that you mention it, you're right- we don't even know if they are Qunari or Tevinter.  I had pictured them as Tal Vashoth.

*sidetrack*

ok...remember the whole Sebastian thing we somewhat discussed here...about how we like him because he treats Fenris with respect and acknowledge his freeman status?

well I just came across this and I do not recall getting this in my Anders pt, he said this to Hawke "(
about Anders) He's a dangerous man. And Selfish. Whatever he promised, don't think he'll ever put you above his own needs"

Well said, Seb well said.

So....this means

Fenris > Sebastian > Anders.
Screw Anders , I can tolerate Seb <_< and YAYAYAYAYAYAYYYYYYYYYYY FOR FENRIS!!!! <3<3<3<3

I think that they were more likely Qunari, because Fenris can speak the Qun language, maybe they tought him while he was staying with them...just a thought

Mr. Gaider was kind enough to clarify the Fog Warriors bit here

I
am curious, if any of the writers are willing to share more of the lore
on Fog Warriors. What we gleam of them in game is that they are rebel
warriors who embrace freedom and are found somewhere in Saheron jungles.

Are they Tal-Vashoth? Or Tevinters rebelling against the Imperium? What are they fighting for, if they are fighting at all?

They're
not Tal-Vashoth. They're people native to Seheron, fighting against
both the Imperium and the Qunari. What they want is to free the island
from the clutches of both empires.

That it is, as we all know our Fenris is quite the popular man in DA 2. In my book he now ranks up there with Alistair and Zevran in popularity.

Still makes me wonder if they're human or elves. <_< When Fenris first started talking about them, I wondered if they were the Fex people who are mentioned very briefly in this little mini guide sitting on my desk, but they're from Par Vollen not Seheron. I find it odd that no one clarifies their race.

Hmmm, from what DG just said I would assume human.  Elves are generally referred to as elves, not people.

But maybe I'm reading more into that one word than is intended.  Thank you so much, Rheia, for getting that information and linking it here!

Edit: Actually, thinking about it, "my people" is used by elves as well.  I like to think they're a mix of both.

I like that idea, too. :)

And in the spirit of shameless self-promotion, I put out a few more bits for Little Pieces for those who said they don't have FF.net accounts. Latest bit of silliness.
