So glad a patch was announced.... it's going to have 100+ fixes in it...plus give auto-attack as an option...

Does it fix the "Slow Bug" (or the Isa/Seb Friend glitch) without re-starting (not that it really matters, I've already restarted my new PT for a third damn time)?

Speaking of the slow bug...I just finished a new playthrough last night, a slow bug-hit one, but for some reason, during the first fight of the 'Last Straw' quest it was gone. Hawke moved normally for the rest of the game. Has this happened to anyone else?

Not sure-- I've been restarting constantly because my mage on my new PT keeps getting killed because of it, and the rest of the party then wipes (because she's the healer).

Aww, the Hawke-dies battle cry is swoony!

Sorry Hawke, you need to die. For science.

Edit:  Those sound files are addicting, just like the Origins ones were.  It does make me wonder if that's what a sound session is like for the VA- if they come in and read a bunch of lines while hardly knowing what context they're spoken in.

Look on the bright side. At least you're not an archer.

I couldn't beat him on my mage, but I did on my archer.  She had duelist/ assassin which makes all the difference.

I wish I could have asked Fenris to kill Anders for me. I bet he would do it in a heart beat.

To clarify, this isn't necessarily me hating on Anders. I liked Anders for the majority of the game, and even let him go after he blew up the Chantry (after joining the mages I let him back into the party), but when I tried to stab him in the back I actually felt a little sick. So I reloaded and let him go again. Part of my hesitation is the fact that Hawke has lost so many people, she could never kill a friend with her own hands. She could hand him over to be judged by a court, or some such institution, but that was not an option. But to stab him in the back herself. No.

Fenris offered to kill Kelder if I couldn't, why didn't he offer this time? Hawke might have shed a tear, and probably would have looked away, but...

Fenris would probably enjoy it very much

QFT. I would like to have that option as well. It's about the same as me not being able to kill Loghain (though I let Alistair do it) after reading The Stolen Throne.  I feel bad about killing them because of who they once were. Even if they may in fact deserve death (but with all the grey morality in this game that's highly debateable)

hmm, I see. My Hawke was the healer as well, but I always just switch to Fenris and spam health poultices for whoever needs healing. Hopefully the patch fixes it and the LI convo with Varric.

Very much agree. Much as I hated what he did, I still couldn't look at the screen when Hawke stabs him.

I just drag anders everywhere with me, since he's specced into haste. He pops that every minute or so and then the slow-down effect isn't quite so terrible. the downside is I have to keep izzy out of my party for the vast majority of chapter three :(

Also, good morning Fen-fans

I had no problem stabbing Anders, but I still wish you could have told any your companions to do it instead. I would have been interested to see how Seb, Fenris and Merrill handled it, especially. I would never make Varric do it though, that'd be too mean.

Hubby is finishing up his mage play through of orgins.. and by mage play through, I mean only play through ^_^ just so he can play DA2.

Mind you it helped that his best friend and I ganged up on him XD "Just do it man, do a DA binge and kill it like a man, son!" -- priceless ;p

To be honest I was really surprised the option to let Seb do it wasn't there, since you could default to your party members for other things and I figured that getting revenge for Elthina was pretty important to him. Ah well.

Yeah, it seems like the obvious choice for their shiny new companion interaction option and the one with the most dramatic impact, too.

I like to sprinkle some fairy dust on the Anders scene and make believe it was Fenris or Seb who did it.

Exactly! Though I would have loved to have an option for Fenris to crush his heart, as well. xD

Not that I dislike Anders that badly... I just like watching Fen do it to people. >_>

Oh yeah, same here. I'd have a hard time choosing which of the two to let do it. Seb has personal stake in it, but Fenris... DAT PHASEPUNCH.

Sometimes I kind of feel bad for using him as my personal executioner just because it looks so cool when he kills people.

LOL! Me too about the feeling bad thing. I get this Aeducan flashback whenever I have him kill people, I just see my Hawke pulling a dwarf noble line, "Fenris, this man displeases me. Crush his heart!" after a while. xD

Well, it's not the stabbing I had a problem with, really, it's the scene that comes after. I actually think stabbing him is the easy way out for him but I could never let him live, because what he did was plain wrong and he used Hawke do it. I think there should have been an option for Seb to do it since Elthina was closest to him, or Fen. It's kinda like Alistair/Loghain; I liked that we had the option of having someone closer to the primarily wronged victim to do it.

YES. Fenris can be my Hawke's second any day. ;)

Right. I think Sebastian would make the most sense as Elthina was like a mother to him. Plus if he is intent on living by an eye for an eye, he's going to have to pull the trigger himself every now and then.

Normally I'm not big on rewarding revenge-seekers (like in the cases of Varania in Alone and Sidonis in ME2), but Anders wanted it, so it's not like he was sitting there begging for mercy and I had to choose whether or not to stop Seb from making a rash decision. I think it would've been better and more dramatic to have him do it.

Okay, I'm clearly doing something wrong here:

I'm trying to rivalmance Fenris with M!Rogue!Hawke. I was at about +75 rivalry when I got to A Bitter Pill. I got +15 friendship from offering Orana a job, but +5 rivalry from choosing the flirt option after Fenris killed Hadriana.

I went back to my house to trigger the cutscene, but when I said, "Don't go," Fenris replied, "I think it's better for both of us if I do."

What did I do wrong? Should I have not doing Questioning Beliefs before Bitter Pill? I hate to think I have to go back to that save, and re-do Sebastian's annoying quest, but if I have to, I will.

darkrose: That's odd... no, doing questioning believes before Better Pill is fine. Did you flirt/entered romance with any other companion before that?

Also, might want to replay Bitter pill and prior to giving Orana a job tell her that she was just a slave to Hadriana instead of trying to be all nice to her (it doesn't sound as mean as the dialog prompt on the wheel, actually. You'll just be telling her there is no reason to sympathize with Hadriana) and you'll get +rivalry instead of friendship, even as you still give her the offer to work for you. Just in case it's the rivalry/friendship meter that's causing this.
----
On the subject of letting Fenris kill/phase people for you... I'm soo guilty of loving every second of that. It actually kind of hints at the whole concept of courtly love a little, if one wants to look at it that way. He's doing it in Hawke's name, after all :).

I've flirted with Isabela, but we haven't slept together yet. However, when I go back home after talking to Fenris, she jumps me...could that be it?

Isabela killed my romance too-- all I did was flirt with her. :o I actually ended up having to replay a couple of hours. It was very odd, because I was almost all the way friendmanced with Fenris, and I didn't think flirting literally one time with her would do that. It was a pretty suggestive flirt, but still.

Hard to say, it might be. Plenty of accounts of his romance track breaking if other are active... suppose he's just rather guarded when it comes to the matters of the heart :P.

You could try a save prior to bitter pill, so Isabella comes to you first and try rejecting her, see if that fixes it?
