During my playthrough, I noticed two things:
1. If you look closely while on the Wounded Coast and fighting spiders, you can see a spider climb down from the sky. So...is that a flying spider or a ghost-spider?
2. If you take Carver with you to Act of Mercy, he will say Hawke is not a blood mage, even if Hawke is well, a blood mage.
Random tidbits.

LOL. I don't see why not..? He seems to have a preference for the phase-punch, though.

Do we know if he can only phase through organic material? Because we keep seeing him use the phasing on people, but it seems like it'd be incredibly useful in a variety of situations. Like going through walls, phasing your hand through a door to unlock it on the other side, phasing to keep yourself from getting hit by arrows/bolts, that sort of thing.

@Victia: I'm trying to romance Sebastian this time but it's slow going. It'd help if he didn't take until Act 2 to show up. <_<

Thank you, Aris and Tasmen.
So you don't like Bethany? Pity.
Though I admit I prefer Carver.

I just feel like Carver is a more developed character.  Bethany comes off as too flat to me.  But then again, I have to admit I have never really been a big fan of virginal female characters.  Carver is a bit of a douche and I love that about him.

You're making me want to play a mage. (But I feel sold so short siding with mages, so Apostate siding with Templars here I come, if I do that!  )

Ooh, ooh! If you do that, play a blood mage spirit healer! I enjoy playing hypocritical mages who like templars.

I think you may be onto something there. Hmm... :)

I will be honest... I don't think I could handle romancing a celibate priest-type....Even rival-mancing Seb doesn't seem worth it....

Well, drinking lyrium does cause people to think of certain things.

I have to admit, I can't deal with the shameboner :(  I wanted to like Sebastian, but then he had to be all boring and Ser Do Nothing for all those years.  I was a bit disappointed in him.

I was an idiot and didn't preorder in time, so I don't have Seb. But now I happen to have some spare ms points. Is he worth it? I've seen people go either way with him... Posted Image

Edit: @ MRC: As long as he doesn't go quite as insane as Meredith at the end. Points to the voice actress though. The voice... Posted Image she really does sound completely insane, then.

You can.  He doesn't want to nun marry you if you do the rivalmance.  I believe in that case you agree to become Viscount to his Prince/King and rule the land and seal the whole deal without so much as a kiss.

The Seb fangirls are hlding out for the next installment of the DA line since his writer actually said his story wasn't finished. Why any luck he will become the next "Anders" of the franchise (minus the blowing up the church).

Seriously you can't put in someone that good looking and such a sexy voice and not expect the fangirls to shed tears of blood over him.

From what I understand, you can... I remember hearing something about in a rival-mance, he promises to lay with Hawke, once he becomes Prince of Starkhaven, but only one time.

I could never do the friendmance but I'm trying to give the rivalmance a try, just because it seems like it might go somewhere. I prefer rivaled Sebastian anyway. He may have the occasional flakey moment but he seems like a good guy. I've put flakier guys on the throne. ::coughs and looks at sweet, un-hardened Alistair:: :innocent:

::blink:: Not what he says according to the videos. He promises to marry her in the rivalmance and says she 'deserves no less than a prince'. Since he's giving up his vows to rule Starkhaven, that would indicate an actual, full marriage.

Anders personally turned me off from the start because I was in love with his VA from Awakening. So, started out on the wrong foot.

The romance itself is interesting and passionate and tragic, which are all fine by me, but two things killed it for me - when he all but begs/guilt trips Hawke into letting him move in, and when he lies about the cure and again begs/guilt trips Hawke into helping him even though he lied about the cure. There's just no trust to be found imo. When the endgame came around, all I could think was, "He was using Hawke this whole time." And he WANTS you to kill him - which means he still is using Hawke even then. Any affection or love in the relationship looked like hollow lies then. It just gives me this unhealthy, twisted, empty feeling.

I don't mind Anders outside a romance, though. It's just not a romance for me.

It's passionate, indeed, but it's also poisonous.

Have you tried making Anders tell you why he was up to with the "cure" thing? I tried, and god it's more guilt trip. He pretty much make this "ugh" look and questioned you instead, about how if your "promises" of helping the mages are all for show. Basically, he's saying if you help him, you help the mages; and you if don't, you're liar. If you help him anyway, Hawke will say "fine but i'm going to remember how you blackmailed me into it".

I wanted to punch him.

Afterwards, if you talk to him, there will be a convesation where you can ask him about this cure, and he'll admit there was no cure to begin with and that he lied, WHILE looking defiant the whole time. So, you're pretty much spot on, there's no trust. He talks about it, wants you to blindly help him. It's like what Sebastian said (word for word) "He's a dangerous man[/i]. And selfish. Whatever he promised[/i], don't think he[/i]'ll ever put you above his[/i] own needs"
[/i]

At least with Fenris, he might be broody and angry, he tells you like it is. He's right all along too. Sigh.

This is why it bugs me when people say Fenris is hypocritical. Fenris is the most brutally honest person in the bunch. It's one of the traits I most admire about him.

I didn't think it was so bad rivaling him. One interesting thing about Seb is he doesn't react like most rivals. I don't know if that's a result of time constraints or a conscious decision. He's pretty much your buddy no matter what, the only difference is you can let him make his own decision with the friendship path (that is, staying in the Chantry) or push him towards Starkhaven with the rivalry path.
