Congrats, Shacary! It worked!

Since we're linking art, here's the redo of the leaning pic. I'm working on it from a different angle after getting some well deserved critique that tore apart the first attempt.

I think he looks less flat and more alive now.

O on the memory issue... I know folks whom suffered head trauma, and eventually snippets return sometimes all of it, like a dam, slowly at first and then maybe more.
I think truly it would be better for him to create new memories, as there is prolly precious little to savor in his past [ but that doesnt keep it from coming back at the weirdest times, im sure]. Especially since Varania must die, selfish witch, he gave up all he had to free her and she didnt like having to be a tailor.... umm sorry, mb life was way different and mb hard , but for pete;s sake she had the ability to TRY to be anything she wanted. ungrateful wretch lol

Lmao. The cat song is something :) Varrick and Fenris expression there is priceless.

Hm. I was looking through my old song collection, found some cds I haven't listened for in forever, and a song that was a companion to my mysery when I was going through a break-up of my own few years back. Oddly kind of fitting for post bitter pill

This time imperfect by AFI

More song stuff...

I was just listening to The Pefect Key by Camouflage and started to think of happy battle endings.

At those who asked a page back: Don't remember what he said during the dog conversation.

It exists on youtube though. The Dog/Fenris conversation. Not sure if you meant that.

Observation:

It just hit me how Fenris speaks of sending letters to Varania...so I guess Hawke did damn good job teaching him reading and writing, regardless how pissed he got about the book gift in rivalmancePosted Image Which made me think of something else. Varania was a slave just like Fenris most of her life so she shouldn't be able to read as well, no?Posted Image
I guess she could learn somewhere after Fenris "won her freedom" but it doesn't really stikre me as the first thing she would do so maybe Denerius wrote the letters....or it's just a glitch in the story...Posted Image
Not that it really matters Im just babbling to myself I guessPosted Image

I think that if she was in line to become a magister, she probably learned to read somewhere along the way.

And it's neasy enough back in the old days to hire a scribe to pen letters for you.

I would guess that even if Hawke doesn't teach him personally, the book is a catalyst for him eventually learning in those three years.

... Either that or he had someone else transcribe the letter. Which would be kind of adorably vulnerable of him and now I can't stop imagining it with Varric or Sebastian being the one writing it for him.

Fish

Fenris: Fish. Fish everywhere. Why would anyone hide a priceless gem in a warehouse full of rotting fish?

Isabela: For that exact reason, no one would ever think to look for anything out of the ordinary here, and the smell of rotting fish keeps out the riff-raff.

Fenris: You hid the tome in a fish warehouse didn't you?

Isabela: You know when someone admits that they are wrong, they're fogiven for their wrongdoings. (notices that Fenris is smirking) Ah, the man has a sense of humor after all.

Fenris: I did learn from the master.

Isabela: Funny, and sweet you are just asking for....

Hawke: Yes!

Isabela: You found the gem?

Hawke: (holds a up a hand covered in fish) No, I found a silver!

Fenris: (facepalm)

Hey guys, I need some opinions...

When do you think Fenris fall in love with Hawke? Like...at what point of the game? Obviously he showed it when they WOOHOO for the first time but...that realization can come before or after.

Thoughts?

Definitely before that, though his admittance of such feelings I think depends on if you are doing rival or friend paths.

You can and I believe it imports some default settings for DAA.  What those are, however, I do not know.

well I drug his booty in the deep roads, I think he may have been fallign then, he seems to CONSTANTLY be watching LadyHawke, in every screenie, I think it was more than alert, mb a bit of infatuation. i see LadyHawke as not unlike his fog warriors, Free, fighting for rights for others, affectionate, as well as easy on the eyes.
I dont know one single thing ever make someone luv another, it might finally make them REALIZE what they are feeling transcends desire. I dont phrase things well my bad, hope it makes a lil sense

btw  ty  tasmeen, i have a few different saves  finished but  didnt want to do DAA  again.. I know im bad.. I HATEd the  runecrafting   stuff in that  game. I  could  bnever  remember what  was  needed to make  waht  and  i  constantly had to shuffle  back  and forth to find it. My  typos  are  horrible... I think my   fingers  have  dyslexia.

I get the feeling that it was a gradual thing that snuck up on him. They just seemed close and kind of comfortable with each other in Act 2 even before A Bitter Pill, I imagine they developed a connection in those first three years, so that when that first night happened it was a culmination of something that's been slow-burning for a while but never really acknowledged. And that night made him realize how strong his feelings were (given the implication that his memory issue was a result of some kind of emotional connection rather than just the physical closeness), which is what overwhelmed him.

@Shecary: You can, I never played DA:A but my imports worked fine. I couldn't do the Nathaniel quest though. :( Also I think a PT without DA:A assumes the Orlesian Warden deals with that story instead, since on my Mahariel PT, Anders told Merrill that he never met her but a friend of his (Oghren?) had all these wild stories about her.

I think it would have been something that would have happened in that three-year time gap. There's A LOT of time that passed there that we didn't see, and a lot of things that could have happened.

I think that at the beginning of his relationship with Hawke, he's not really in love. I mean, yes, he's very attached to her/him, but it's not a very might love. When he brokes the relationship, I think that he's at this point. Then 3 years pass by, and it's when he's not with Hawke that he really falls in love. He's aware that he can't live without him/her. But he's too afraid to ask because it's him who has broke the relationship and he's also afraid that Hawke can't forgive him. And after, there is "Alone" and, at this point, he realizes that Hawke was never be angry against him. And all of us know the next of the story [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/tongue.png[/smilie]
Sorry for the English if there are some mistakes:innocent:

I think on rival, he may not realize it's love until after the sex or well during when he gets his one moment of 'pure happiness'.   He'd know there was an attraction there and one they could no longer resist, but the feelings realization would have come to him during/after the deed, I think.

On friendship path, I could see him beginning not to realize in steps, perhaps coming to the full realization of his feelings just prior to 'A Bitter Pill'.

Really, some of this is dependent too on the order in which you do his quests in act ii.  I imagine that would change things somewhat as well given the different 'sex' scenes you get.
