Well while I am certain you're quite an interesting person, no, I didn't mean you
Fair enough, I guess. This thread is not good for me. D:

Well I am not a history major but I can't believe lice were the only reason for the white color.

Of all the theories I doubt the lyrium hair bleach idea is worth letting go. Just remember, most of the time, design has reason and logic behind it. White hair "because it's cool" is a frequent occurrence (*glares at Sephiroth*) but I would hope there is a better reason in this case.
Well white hair has something about it. I mean if you take the wigs of judges at court or nobility couple of centuries ago. It seems as if white heir command respect or something.

As for Fenris' hair, isn't there a little elven girl with the same colouring as him running around? I mean, white hair and dark skin? I thought someone in the Meg thread mentioned her, and little girls are certainly not old, so if its true there is a precedence in Thedas for dark skinned people with white hair.
And so much hate for Spehiroth, dude's mom was an alien life form, white hair was not the wierdest stuff going down in his genetics.
You mean Elora? :

The colour really wasn't the point, if talcum powder was black the wigs would be black.
edited because I don't even know what talmac is but I meant talcum.

Okay, I've never seen my name in any book, movie, or game. It used to be that if you typed my first name in google, the top hit was my homepage.
I can't tell if Fenris is serious or not.
That wasn't sarcastic. You might not believe it, but I hate sarcasm. No, really. I dislike it whenever I find myself making a sarcastic remark.
I think the closest I've gotten to getting in a game, is the zombie kitten reference in DA:O.
That Vault would be extra creepy if they were chanting my name.

Never saw the kid.
The only reason I remember Elora though is because I spent outrageous amounts of time convincing the Lady of the Forest/Witherfang to attack the Dalish, attacking the Dalish, and then killing Elora and hoping she'd drop her nice dress, re-loading and repeating the process if she didn't.
What? I'm a clothes fanatic. And I own it on PS3. The only way to get nice clothes is to repeatedly kill people and hope that they drop them.

I've read that multiple times in as many different ways as I can and I still can't find the sarcasm.

I do the same with Marjolaine for the noble clothing. I also used to with Beyha Joam, but after reloading ten times and still not getting his particular version of the noble clothing, I stopped. I only got it on a couple of playthroughs on the PS3. I've never managed on the 360.

Never even knew Beyja Joam dropped clothes. Marjolaine is usually pretty easy to get noble clothing off of (usually, if you don't get it first time you kill her, reload and do it again and you probably will). Elora, the very first time I killed her, dropped her outfit, but the save got corrupted and I had to delete it and restart the entire game because I saved on that one save. Ever since then, it's been a royal pain, but the outfit still drops on occasion.

I usually have to reload at least once for Marjolaine. I did have one game where she refused to drop it until the fifth time, though.
Beyha Joam drops the noble clothing that, for females, at least, is green with a pink . . . er. Obi? Sash? You see it on some NPCs during the Landsmeet. I think at least one of the noblewomen in Awakening wears it, as well. I've never encountered it in-game except for those instances, though.
Erm. So. Fenris. What . . . would he wear for formal occastions?

But you can't touch him.
This has unfortunate implications. Isn't touching a good thing? I would not want a relationship with no touching.
