Am I the only one who thinks Fenris' house layout makes NO sense? First you go through that little corner door and it leads to a side entrance, then later they use the same entry to get through the main doors. But the thing is, with how the city is laid out, the house doesn't even fit right. Where does the front entrance really come out? I'm beginning to think that mansion is either a TARDIS or simply has an enchanted door a la Howl's Moving Castle.

This takes place in the "Hanged Man" few years after everything has settled down. Varric being a proud new owner of the place, Isabela's ship docked in Kirkwall for a short visit, Hawke and Merril busy with the preparations for Carvers wedding...he did find his way back to "Peaches" after all

Isabela: Sooo...you and Hawke been together for quite some time now...
Fenris: Indeed.
Isabela: Well...I was just wondering...
Fenris: NO!
Isabela: ...but I didn't even...
Fenris: No, I do not share...and No, you can't watch either!
Isabela: (letting out a frustrated frown) Oh, let me finish the bloody sentence, will you?!
Why do you always assume it's only about sex with me?!
Fenris: (raising one eyebrow in a slight disbelieve and sending the pirate a questioning look)
Isabela: Wait...don't answear that, point taken. Anyway...I was trying to ask a serious question.
Fenris: Oh? You did? Now, I start to worry...do I really want to hear this?
Isabela: Oh, get hold of yourself!
Isabela: Did you ever considered asking her to marry you?
Fenris: And how exactly did that thought appear in this little head of yours?
Isabela: Well, isn't it what people like you two normaly do?
Fenris: What do you mean "people like us two"?
Isabela: You...you know. What's this nonsense called...people in loooove (she dragged teasingly)
Fenris: Maybe, but I still fail to see how is this any concern of yours. Did she...say something?
Isabela: Who, Hawke?...Are you joking? Of course not! Andraste's ******!
I think she'd rather be eaten by the dragon then slipp it out of her tongue.
It's just...I saw this look in her eyes the other day, when we were helping "Peaches" to pick a wedding dress.
I've never seen Hawke staring like that before...

Fenris looked away drifting deep into his own thoughts.

Isabela: (rasing her eyebrows with excitment, a wicked smile on her face)
Isabela: Awww, how cute! You did think about it!
Fenris: This conversation ends now!
Isabela: Don't you worry kitten, your secret stays safe with me!
Fenris: Stop it! There is no secret...I didn't...I...it's not...
Fenris: Im done talking to you.

Few days later at Hawkes estate...

Hawke: Fenris...you've been awfully silent last couple of days.Is something wrong?
Fenris: No, it's nothing. The town is so quiet lately. Sometimes I miss the old days...excitment of the battle.
Hawke: Riiight...(he was such a terrible liar)
Well, it's not exactly like we just hang around picking up daisies.
Maybe we're not out as often as before but we still get some action.
Did you already forget last months expedition?
Fenris: No, I didn't.
Hawke: So what is it really about?
Fenris: (After a short pause) We never...discussed that but...what do you think about marriage?
Hawke: Marrige? (she repeted surrprised) I must admit..I didn't see that one coming...
Why are you bringing this up now? Is it because of my brothers wedding?
Wait...did he come to you with some sort of rediculous...oh, you little brat! Im going to tear him apart!

Fenris: No, no it's not like that, and Carver has nothing to do with it.
(He wasn't sure if he should continue with this subject but there was really no escape from this now)
Fenris: I was just thinking...if, hypotheticly speaking...if I was to ask for your hand...What would you say?
(She could almost hear her jaw drop as her heartbeat raised and she could feel the warmth of a blush sneaking into her cheeks...Was he really asking this?)
Hawke: Well...(Trying to catch her breath and compose herself) ...hypotheticly speaking...
(Then gaining back her confidence and sending him encouraging smile)
Hawke: Actually...I do not dwell on "hypotheticly". If you want to know I guess you will have to ask. Properly...
Fenris: You are not going to make it easy on me, are you?
Hawke: Do I ever...?

(She asked giggling sligtly while she planted a gentle kiss on his cheek...)

You hit the nail on the head. I think all the builds have this door. None of the interior fixs with outside.

Totally. I wondered how the hell the side door and the front door go out the same exit. And how the hell the mansion fit in to that spot. 

But then I became more concerned by the fact that basically every room in that place has a hole in the roof SOMEWHERE (especially in big room right outside the room Fenris is normally in; about half the roof appears to be missing). I pity Fenris when it rains and in the winter time.

If they are open to the air, I'm surprised he doesn't have vultures and crows as roommates what with all of those dead bodies he insists on leaving around.

He probably does. Especially in the summer. Until it drove my Hawkettes crazy and they removed the dead bodies.

Good idea, though apparently I'm too stupid to figure out how to post them properly. Still, the next bit of Little Pieces can be found here if anyone would like to read it.

The more times I play the game, the more I think none of my Hawkes would handle the role of Champion very well at all. Damaged heroes are more entertaining than emotionally sound ones, though. Well, I think so anyway.

If Fenris was with her throughout (with none of that "i'm not worthy" stuff) she'd be fine...for the most part

Hawke and Merrill are having tea in the Estate. Everything is quiet enough, with the two simply chatting, when a cry of agony sounds from the upstairs bathroom. Both women jump in surprise.

Fenris: HAWKE!
Fenris appears at the top of the stairs; drenched, with a towel around his waist, and hands covering his hair.
Fenris: You- you sabotaged me!  [He runs downstairs and tilts his head down, fingers pulling his hair to show the mage.]LOOK!
Hawke: What a pretty color!
Fenris: It's ginger!
Hawke: I thought you'd be happy. Now you match your sister!

...I think the average day in a FenrisxMage!Hawke household would be... interesting. Possibly chaotic. Especially with a sarcastiHawke.
