I think around page 70 or something we were displayed an pic of someone licking off chocolate sauce from his finger, and kwintessa went on produced this:



After that I decided to make our family's Christmas dessert Chocolate/Strawberry Tiramisu. The pic I showed you was from last year. I am about to make another one soon.

Just suddenly dawn to me Fenris might like this kind of sweetie. Hidden with bailey.

True. Fantasy romances have nothing to do with real-life romances. Some of these characters are seriously screwed up. When people say things like "I want to date my romance" or "why can't they be more sensible like someone in real life" my response is generally "Good God, why would you want that? This is a fantasy in more ways than just the genre."


In other words, if I gave some of these people what they thought they wanted, my suspicion is they wouldn't actually want it. So I excel at giving people what they don't want. Which is weird, but there you go.

I think real life romances are sometimes even more screwed than these ones...at least we won't go crying in a corner cause Fenris left us...well at least not too hard...

@Ankuu, it's now sitting in the fridge and won't be out for another 8 hours. No one in our household want the elf so the poor thing is now became our youngling's nibbles.....

That comment was not specific to Fenris. I'm not saying he's a romance, or that he would even be appropriate as a romance. I wouldn't suggest trying to read behind everything I say-- or don't say, as the case may be. I find it interesting that you guys are so attached to him (as to Varric, in the other thread) but not every character is going to be a romance and not every character is going to be a Living God/Flesh Golem/Werewolf/Lost Arlathan Whatever/Demon Hybrid abomination... as if the character's evident background was't enough. Just because I don't disprove every theory doesn't make it automatically so.

Just sayin'.

When Gaider pops in, I think it is fair to say we should pull back gently on specific questions concerning whether or not Fenris had a former lover or grievances about certain possibilities. I don't think its bad to speculate this when he's not around, but for the sake of courtesy, when we know he is on, its fair to pull back on 'Gaider! tell me he doesn't have a former lover!!!' and other such questions in this vein, because it may frighten him to the point of not answering further questions in the future.



Just my opinion. You all are super chill and I understand the enthusiasm! Just keep yo cool ladies. Douse in ice water.

Really? Shame. There are some real gems out there. If you liked DAO I'd especially suggest Baldur's Gate I and II.

The only Virgins I know as LI were Tali'Zorah from Mass Effect and Alistair. I've never played other bioware games outside of these two and their respected sequels, however.

I think the whole idea is rather interesting, providing he actually is a li. As David has already said, it's fantasy romance, high fantasy on top of that, so certain freedoms are allowed. I like drama, just do, and the your touch hurts thingy just gives you a ton of opportunities and routes to go about building something, may that be friendship or romance.

As for the me2 li's, I did Garrus and Thane, can't say anything for Tali because I haven't played a male Shepard yet. Garrus is a bro, has been from me1 on, and he just got more badass in me2. What is there not to like about him? Ok sure, if you had meet him in rl, you wouldn't consider "dating" him for aesthetic reasons, but it's just what fantasy roleplaying is. You have to put yourself in the shoes of your character, accept and explore the world you are in, isn't that what fantasy roleplaying is?

Oh, so you would date Garrus in rl, or is that just an assumption on your part that there is somebody who actually would? (I have no doubt about this, tho) And you know, that is assuming somebody like Garrus would ever even exist in rl.
