Oh, I agree, believe me.  I just think Goldana is the one of them that never really NEEDED as much as Varania did.  I pity Varania.  But Goldana just ticks me off for blowing everything that she's been given and blaming it utterly on everyone else. 

It's nice to deny her the money she wants... and then pat Alistair on the head and spend the money you would have given Goldanna on a new sword or armor for the poor boy.
Or cheese. I bet he'd like that better.

Ole Nathaniel Hawke certainly did.  It's how I got all those screenshots I posted on Nate thread   You just have to make sure that you take the broken heart options with Anders and end that relationship or at least, that is what I did.

I believe you can flirt with anyone along with Fenris, but once you sleep with then first it's a dealbreaker...as far as I know

My new Hawke would tap the bejeezus out of Isabela in a FWB sense so here's crossing my fingers and hoping it still works out with Fenris later.

Yeah,
I loved Nate too. Broody, rather bitter, but also honest and reasonable
and surprisingly open-minded and noble... Did you conscript him or let
him go? I let him go, and it felt really rewarding when he came crawling
back of his own free will, confused as hell and wanting to be friends.
It just felt like a  rewardingly realistic way to quickly wipe away
he hatred he initially feels for you...

That reunion went too well imho but he does ask to walk off to 'think'.  That was one thing in Awakening that bugged me -- how quickly Nate went from Hatey McHawtHaterson to "Let's be friends...kkthnxandbtwyoucan'tremovemypantshahahaha".

With the Cousie in my Nate story, I conscripted him under the pretense that she wouldn't let another good man (read: Alistair) die again to an archdemon.  She wished she had saved Loghain so he could have taken the last blow instead of Ali (joke would have been on her in that situation, eh?).

There are some aspects of Fenris that remind me a lot of Nate, ngl.  I also have a thing for the brooding brooders.

My Dalish Warden let him go AND let him have his family's possessions because she didn't like loose ends and knew what it felt like to get the Taint and be conscripted through no choice of your own (her origin story) and didn't want to inflict that on anyone, in addition to not wanting to base a relationship with an ally off something like that.

When he came back, he seemed very humbled by her generosity and while a lot of bitterness about his father was still there, it wasn't directed at the Warden so much anymore. So I didn't get the impression that he went from hating her guts to being buds too quickly, because his gratitude made it more plausible.

I was told it will still work, but there was a bug at the end of the game, where Varric will said "except Isabela" instead of your LI. For that I avoid any flilrt with Issie, no matter how much I like her.

*nodnod* I've heard that about that particular option with him.  I haven't played it through yet, but have intended to at some point just to see it.  I just couldn't let him go with Cousland.

And that prompt the 'you used me!' thing from Anders, yeah? So I guess to continue romancing Fenris, you must break up with Anders so that the flag is not set to Anders? It's weird, because I coulda sworn Fenris won't romance you if you slept with other ppl...but then again I've heard otherwise...confusing!
