Prompt - Blame Tanky!
Neverwinter Nights.
Aniryn Dy’nen turned slowly to her Kobold companion.
“Deekin...” The Druid said slowly.
The Dragon Disciple looked at her shyly.
“Yeah Boss?”
“Not that I am not seriously impressed with that display of magic; but where in the Hells are we?!”
“Not in any of the Hells, if I had to guess, my love.” Her Teifling lover explained “It looks like no realm I remember ever visiting, and I have been to quite a few.”
“I don’t remember this place form any that I’ve been to either. Deekin, exactly where did you intend to send us?”
“Uhhhh....” The winged Kobold scuffed the sand under his feet “Deekin...not really had a place in mind Boss, just...away.”
“Deekin!” she chastised, but her heart wasn’t in it – at least they were no longer surrounded by Devils intent on killing them. Aniryn sighed.
“Well, hopefully after a rest you’ll be able to send us home. I have to say this is a lot nicer than the last realm I unexpectedly ended up in.”
The Kobold brightened, seeing she wasn’t angry with him. Even with his newfound confidence from the use of his True Name Deekin cared what his ‘Boss’ thought.
“Right Boss, lots warmer. Goat Man not wanting to kill everything in sight; that good too!”
“It is much more pleasant than Cania...I wonder-” began Valen, but he was interrupted by the arrival of a group of heavily armed humans. Aniryn knew instantly that they were up to no good; their leader had a cruel look to him. The group of ten stopped to stare at the three travellers.
“Well, look here. An Elf, a Qunari and...What in the Dark City is THAT? Some kind of Demon?!”
Deekin hopped angrily up and down, baring his needle sharp teeth. “Deekin not a demon! Deekin be part Dragon Kobold!” He yelled.
Valen looked at her “What is a Qunari?” He whispered to her.
“No idea.” She whispered back.
The leader looked at them assessing, then turned to his men. “Kill the Qunari, the other thing might fetch a nice price, but we want the pretty elf girl alive, she’s the money-maker.” He grinned.
‘Fetch a nice price? Money-maker?’ The three stared at each other in horror.
Aniryn felt the rage of Silvanus filling her. These monsters intended to kill her lover and enslave her and her friend.
‘No Creature Should Be Caged!’
The leader turned a leering grin her way. “Now you just behave Knife-ear, and mebbe I’ll go easier on you.”
She felt Valen stiffen beside her.
“Do not speak to my lady that way.” He snarled. Many a brave man had run rather than face the Weapons Master in such a rage. The Human only laughed.
“Your ‘Lady’, hah, **** more like. Right! Let’s get this over with.”
Valen looked at her and Deekin. “Yes, lets.” He said softly.
“Obidaal Nabora Sesma!” Aniryn yelled; calling forth an Inferno from the sky as Valen plunged into the humans, Devils Bane swinging in a deadly arch.
“Into the flames we leap!”
Deekin cackled happily as he unslung his crossbow and took aim. “Just like in Underdark, hey Boss?”

Felicity Hawke had enjoyed a bracing stroll along the Wounded Coast, complete with her dear love Fenris and her friend Anders having yet another argument. She shared a long-suffering look with Aveline and sighed.
‘It might be tolerable if we had been able to find those slavers...They’re both so much more agreeable after they’ve killed something.’
She stopped short when Aveline’s arm shot out, thumping against her breastplate, Felicity looked at her quizzically.
“Do you hear that Hawke?” The Guard Captain asked.
Felicity focused, blocking out her companions bickering. Clashing metal, screaming...A battle!
The Rogue whooped happily “Looks like a fight!” and took off running. Aveline snorted and ran after the crazy woman, Fenris dropped his argument and followed after his love, and Anders shook his head and trudged after them.
She crested the hill, Finesse and Bassrath-Kata drawn and ready, only to be greeted by the sight of the Slaver group she had been looking for already dead on the sand. Standing bloodied amongst the corpses was...A Qunari? An elf and...Some sort of scaly creature with a crossbow?
‘Not as cool as Bianca though.’
Aveline and Fenris reached her, Anders close behind.
“Hawke what...” Began Aveline, who stopped short when she saw the scene. Felicity turned to her companions.
“Please please tell me you’re all seeing this too!” She begged.
The...Horned guy...heard them and dropped into a defensive crouch, the weapon he wielded hanging at his side. Fenris’ markings flashed and he pulled Hawke behind him.
“Fenris!”
“Valen!”
The elven girl walked up to the man and placed her hand on his shoulder, he relaxed and stood, hanging his weapon back on his belt. Felicity nudged Fenris.
“See?” Hawke said “He’s put his weapon away.” Fenris only grunted in response, but the glow faded from his brands.
She smiled at the girl; she seemed to be the voice of reason.
“Sorry about that. Did you kill them all?” She asked.
“Yes.” The elf answered. “They said that they...”Her voice hitched.
Aveline had bent down and was examining one of the corpses.
“These are the slavers we were looking for, the whole group it seems.” She said. Felicity smiled sadly at Fenris.
“Sorry dear, I know how much you wanted to get them yourself.” He shrugged.
“As long as they are dead.”
The two groups looked at each other...Then Felicity walked up to the girl and held out her hand.
“I’m Felicity Hawke, but most everybody just calls me Hawke. The ginger is Aveline Vallen, Blondie here is Anders, and the utterly gorgeous elf is Fenris, and mine.”
“Hawke!” Came three voices in varying degrees of exasperation and annoyance. She smiled at the girl.
“See, just ‘Hawke’.”
The elf took her hand and they shook.
“I am Aniryn Dy’nen, Druid in the service of Silvanus, my ‘protector’ here is Valen Shadowbreath and he is ‘mine’ too and this is Deekin Scaleslinger.” She said, first gesturing to the horned man at her side, then the little scaly creature.
“Um, not to be rude or anything – but what are your companions?” Felicity asked.
“Deekin be a Kobold, with dragon’s blood.” Stated the little creature, pulling himself up in a gesture of pride. Felicity looked at him, and then at her friends, they all shrugged.
“Well, none of us know what a Kobold is, but those look like dragon wings to me.” Said Anders, Felicity shuddered and fingered Uzura’s Tooth.
‘Yes, yes they do.’
“And I have never seen or even heard of a Qunari with red hair before.” Stated Fenris, looking at Valen, who stared right back.
“The humans called me ‘Qunari’ but I do not know what that is. I am a Teifling.”
“They can’t have seen many Qunari up close then...You’re a lot less...bulky.” Felicity said.
“And you would know.” Agreed Anders.
She felt Fenris’ fingers ghost surreptitiously down her back, the fight with the Arishok to save Isabela had near killed her and he had later admitted to being terrified for her.
“Well, ‘Kobold’ and ‘Teifling’ never heard of those before.” Said Aveline. “Anders?” The mage shrugged.
“Justice had no idea, they aren’t from the Fade, but they aren’t from Thedas either.”
“We are from Faerún.” Explained Aniryn “Deekin accidentally opened a portal without a destination during a bad fight and here we are.” Fenris looked at Deekin suspiciously.
“You...are a Mage?”
“Deekin used to be Bard, but when Deekin learns about dragons blood Deekin starts training to be Dragon Disciple.”
“But you use Magic?” The elf persisted.
“Many in Faerún do, even those who possess no magic of their own can buy scrolls and use magical items.” Explained Aniryn. Felicity patted Fenris’ shoulder.
“Fenris let it go – they aren’t even from our world.”
“And after a rest Deekin and I should be able to get us home.” Said Aniryn.
“Well, since I’m pretty sure you don’t have any accommodation lined up...” Hawke started.
“Hawke!” Aveline, Anders and Fenris groaned.
“What? The estate is so empty with just Bodan, Sandal, Orana, Falcon and me. Besides, can you imagine the look on Varric’s face?” She asked gleefully.
Aveline just sighed. Anders shook his head.
"Festis bei umo canavarum..." Fenris grumbled.
Tashash, I could hug you now. <3 I miss Deekin

And seeing Valen again was nice! He was the first bioware romance done right for the ladies, AND his voice is amazing too.
Oh! Did anyone play nwn 2 by the chance? Imagine Sand and Hawke snarking back and forth
