Looking at Default!Hawke and the cuteness that is aimo's Hawke, I have realised one thing I thought I knew already.

I hate beards. A lot. (Except for Duncan's. Why?)

Does that make me a bad person?

I like big beards and I cannot lie.

Actually, it just depends. I love the beard on Beardy Hawke (default male), but I don't like all beards. I am more of a stubble/scruff/sideburns person.

Haha! Oh man the beards.... Is it just me or does Fenris kind of look like Wilford Brimley in that one? lol!!

Edit: I think my favorite is Merrill though. And Varric's chest hair... that's just a thing of beauty. Why does he have to be so glamorous? :happy:

Well, I've sent an email to ff.net's category and character list support staff with new names to add to that list. We'll see what comes of it.

Only if it makes me one too!  I like M!Hawke's, and Duncan's, and I thought Oghren did a pretty good job pulling his off, but he has an advantage, if one buys into dwarven stereotypes across fictions. No one else in Thedas can really pull off the beard IMO.

Of course, I think facial hair is overrated in general, so that could be my own biases coming through.

Well, i finally finished a Mage PT. It was fun for the twist in the storyline but I'll always prefer playing a warrior. I'm just a bash and smash kinda girl-LOL. It was fun tiptoeing around mage issues when i was with Fenris though.....Whee!

@AstraDrakkar, mage by far is my favourite. I am the 'sit back, and let the others do the hard slashing' kind of person.

Yeah. *If* I can muster the patience for another DA:O PT at some point, I plan a mage warden who will probably romance Zev (once his cameo(s) is/are fixed). She'd be my first Thedas mage; I normally play more casty characters, but I've been on a real kick of non-casters of late.

Love all the art and fic! I really should write some stuff...I'm starting to feel left out.

Seeing that is this is the most active companion thread, I am curious - what is so attractive about Fenris? I daresay, he is a very handsome person, and so, much like how I was drawn to Merrill by her fairness, character aesthetics must play a significant role in determing how attractive he is to an audience.

Personally, I'm a guy and while I don't hate Fenris, I don't find anything overly likeable about him either. I am finding it difficult to see how anyone might like him if they are not either female or gay.

Any stragiht guys want to elablorate on why they like Fenris?

My Amell Playthrough is about a quarter finished, but my husband chaneged his steam password and WONT GIVE IT TO ME and its so very irritating. I also have a city elf playthrough with a very romanced Zev that I'm dieing to finish but but but..



I'm nomally a caster-girl, but about a year ago my hubby convinced me to play a ret-paladin in WOW (after 5 years of priesty-priest goodness) and I developed a melee-class complex. Now, even though my cannon in DA2 is a mage (cuz I da2's mages) I still favor the warrior or rogue or other melee-esque classes in games now ;p

That being said, playing a straight male hawke (which was way hard cause anders was all "GRABY HANDS GIMMI GIMMI"), aka, avoiding all heart options ON PURPOUS, I found out that Fenris has a "sky's the limit" bro-potential. Especially if you're anti-mage. He like drinking wine, and likes sharing wine with you.. and he likes killing things and is aweome with the 'fisting on command' :innocent:

He's funny, and if the banters are correct, actually a lot of fun with cards and drinks at the hanged man. think of him as a broody, glowy elf version of Varric and you'll find lots of reasons to like him.

I am unfortunately disqualified to answer your question the way you pose it, but I hope someone does chime in .

However, I do remember another person coming in here and asking to elaborate on what makes Fenris an appealing character, and it spawned some interesting (some serious, some semi-serious) answers for a couple of pages on this thread. You might find reading it helpful, too.
