I really hope this works out. Or I'm going to fill an Olympic-sized swimming pool with tears.
Need moar chapters.

I second this ...FFS I'm quite traumatized, need moar, need happy.

Just finished the rivalmance and I have to say that while some parts were better than the friendmance, I think overall I like the friendmance better. Was disappointed that the conversation remained the same when Fenris wanted to talk about what happened between him and Hawke. I think they could have changed that up a bit.

I don't like this conversation in general
While I think the whole romance was writen very well, the reconcilation dialogue is missing a lot!
Fenris lines are somewhat decent but Hawke's are plain *facepalm* Especially diplomatic Hawke.
"I need to undertand Fenris...oh wait...I always understood...let's kiss! "
I mean, come on... they didn't speak of what happened for 3 freaking years!
There was so much potential in that scean, so many ways to talk about it...
Oh well, at least we got a nice kiss in Gallows...
I like friendmance better too

You and I seem to be the only one who enjoyed the friendmance more around these partsIf I might ask, were you a mage, or a rogue, or warrior? I find it truly ironic that I friendmanced him as a mage.
People often site that the rivalmance was more passionate, but really, Fenris just seemed angrier to me, which doesn't automatically mean it's more passionate. You get the glowy wall kiss even if you friendmance him, which is what people always squee over with the rivalmance. So...I don't know.
I have enough of an imagination to fill in the blanks of their relationship, so I've always believed that he was conflicted even in my friendmance. After all, my Hawke was a mageI don't know...I guess I just love the tenderness of the friendmance over the anger of the rivalmance. He's been through too much in his life already, he deserves to be in a happy relationship, not a toxic one.
That said, I would never try to tell other people what to think. To each their own, and all that. And I can understand why other people greatly enjoy the rivalmance. It is fantasy, after all, and not real life.

What is most appealing is the intensity of the rivalmance...when things happen like the glowy kiss...I think it's the intense feeling that is injected in the situation that wows everyone....including me...but passion is what each of us has a little bit differently and see in different events so they probably did the best they could to touch on that for everyone in some way. I ... imho ... think the friendmance was more for me but that either one could be better.
The conversation bites... no matter which mance you take... major complaint there...
I hope that gap is filled in a little with new DLC though it may be unlikely

I prefer the friendmance too...yes, the intensity in the rivalmance does go to 11, but I prefer the friendmance for the relationship between Hawke and Fenris. I agree that he's had enough conflict in his life, I like to think that it's better long-term for him to be in a relationship that gives him calm and comfort. I also think that Fenris, like Sten, has a bit of a softie inside him waiting for an excuse to come out (and that I think you can see a bit in his interaction with Hawke [the look in Alone, the "Please don't die" at the end], and even with Sebastian when it comes to the subject of faith) - a closely guarded side of his personality that would not ever be on public display but reserved for his love and perhaps very close friends.
