Just walk up the stair (instead of down) and wait, they will start the dialogue and attack when done. If you are doing the night gangs quest it is a good idea to clear up the area first otherwise you will be attacked on both sides.
I do like my rogue, it starts a little slow but I can get ridiculous damage later in the game.
Do you have to come in from Hightown to do that? I always end up coming in to the docks from the stairs near the Qunari compound. I've noticed certain map exits and entries drop you in weird places.

So I have a question.
Looking at the wiki article on Lyrium (story research XD), it says that physical contact with raw lyrium "will cause serious injury and psychological problems," and "long term exposure or a single mistake while working with it can lead to serious side effects such as emotional instability or complete psychosis. "
In regards to Fenris, I can see where the psychological problems come in, but what about the second part? Do you think having the lyrium infused under his skin will eventually drive Fen mad?
I think it would be refined lyrium, if it were raw lyrium Danarius would have gone completely off his rocker after completing the marking process. From my guess, Fenris' markings might work in a manner similar to the process used to enchant weapons and armor.
Well that does make the most sense. The markings undoubtedly work to enhance physical prowess - how else would he be so very strong for an elf?

Try exiting the hanged man. Should drop you in front of the bar. Also, just to reiterate:
Clear the night gangs quest FIRST!!!
Otherwise, you'll have about 3 or 4 waves of enemies attacking simultaneously...

So I love the part of the "All That Remains" quest, where Fenris helps Hawke take out Gascard Dupois, the simpering idiot seeking to become a dang Necromancer. It's pure awesome-ness, if you ask me. My first PT, I wasn't able to trigger it, because I never got the special "star" option that would've had my sarcastic rogue convince Gascard to fight on her side.
My second PT, Hawke was a diplomatic mage and she convinced Gascard it was utterly heinous to be a necromancer so that he switched sides. I like it, but it just didn't feel right. I mean, the guy suddenly gets an attack of conscience, seriously? He tortured some woman on his own just to figure necromancy out; he doesn't seem the type to...oh...just change his mind, I don't know.
So last night, I got through "All that Remains" with my aggressive warrior. This time, it was perfect, felt totally real. Gascard goes to join Quentin and Hawke says to him, "Stand between me and my mother, and I will kill you." No blinking, no hesitation, deadpan, serious, blunt. The guy just about pees his pants and runs back over to Hawke's side. Felt so good to finally kill him afterwards, too, hehe.
I'm just really enjoying my aggressive Hawke. She's awesome. And Fenris totally loves her. I had them maxed friends before the end of Act 1. Sweet!

That is pure AWESOME!
I do think that it's when he activates Lyrium Ghost. Another reason it makes me think it's a mixture of battle rage and pain.Maiafay wrote...

What battle cry? O_o He doesn't yell in battle.
That's the "Rally" cry, I think. I've never tried using "Rally" with Hawke, so I have no idea how other characters sound with the same ability.
I used Maker's Sigh and restacked his abilities, not including Rally. He still has a growl/yell when he rushes into battle. However, that's the only time he does shout. The rest of his comments are calm for the most part. (except when he needs healing, then he gets a little pissy, lol).
I thought I read that you had to have him at 100% for him to stay initially, though even at less than that, you can persuade him to come back by reminding him (when he shows up with the templars) that mages are slaves.AntiChri5 wrote...
Hello, Fenris fans.
I have completed all of Fenris' quests, but i need to know how high rivalry i need to get him to side with me against the Templars.
I don't want to kill him.

I agree, I think they should have left that option for Aggressive Hawkes only. I adore my aggresive/direct Hawke too. Jo Wyatt rocks all those lines.

B*tchy Hawke was kind of fun. I had to abandon her because I tried to romance Anders with her, and that wasn't fun.
I like sarcastic Hawke + Fenris because he's one of two people in Kirkwall who will actually laugh at her dumb jokes, the other being Varric- who's sadly having none of her.

The only option I've seen so far that's reserved for aggressive Hawkes is the one with that Qunari guy on the road along the Wounded Coast, the one who warns caravans of danger from the Tal-Vashoth. I've read he has some sort of quest in Act 3, which I'll definitely be looking for.
But you're right. I think Gascard's exection via Fenris-torture should be reserved for an aggressive Hawke. Watching Fenris not even hesitate, just going over and twisting Gascard's wee little heart, was priceless. Her following, "It won't bring my mother back but it will make me feel better", also felt more real coming from an aggressive Hawke. The two of them, together, just seem to fit better, in my mind.
Ach, I may end up making this Hawke my canon. She's just that perfect.

There are also two threats - in Finders Keepers and when looking for mother in All that remains - that only work with Aggressive Hawke.

Ok, not the topic but I need experts here:
Why the 3 year gap? I am thinking of writing a Fanfiction after this semester wraps up (and by thinking of I mean obsessively already dialoging chapters even though I doubt anyone will read it when I should be doing homework) and I am stumbling all over this one issue.
I slept with you, rejected you, and then didn't talk about it for years... seems... not to work. I mean, obviously something was said in the gap and I'll fill that in - but then... he's going to bring it up later anyway and that's got a re-address issue. Plus, how do you stay friends after that - how do you keep going out on adventures after that? Hell I wasn't even Hawke and I don't think I put Fenris in my party for the remainder of the Act lol
