Oooh...my Snarktastic Hawke PT got derailed by post-patch Hawke. Gonna have to pick that back up at some point, now that I've had my squee over Fenris making Gascard talk... Damn that was an awesome scene!

I'm totally new to the discussion thread.  I've got to say that what got me about Fenris, besides the obivious physical charms and that incredible voice over, is the way his charactor developes over the game.  He opens himself up to new experiences and friendships and Iappreciate that he becomes less broody and more humorous over time.

Yes, Fenris personality changed (to a degree) through the game, and at the end he even willing to fight the templar for you if your friendship is high enough. It's one of the many reason why we love him.

Don't forget Rivalry, too (even though I prefer Friendship-- I'm a sucker for fluff). I know my Kaalyss Hawke wouldn't have gotten far at the end if she didn't have her favorite elf-warrior beside her!

I have not yet gotten Fenris to make Gascard talk... I tried it as snarky and I think i read someoen say you have to be diplomatic? I want to see that so much!

The only way Gascard can be alive after the quest to find your mother is if you managed to talk Gascard into staying on your side in the fight (and not have Varric, because he kills Gascard outright BEFORE the fight).  The only way to convince Gascard to join you is if you are on the Diplomatic path.

You can also do it on the aggressive path, if I've read correctly. Snarky Hawke gets no help, sadly T__T

Hawke: (muttering) Stupid Champion title, can't go one week without having to make some sort of appearance at some party.

Bodhan: Ah. but it's a costume party messere. Certainly much more enjoyable than your usual activites.

Hawke: Bodhan, I would rather be attacked by blood mages than go to this party. Maker's breath look at me, I'm dressed as a sodding Templar, I get that the costume is supposed to be ironic, what with me being a mage and all, but why did you pick this?

Bodhan: Ah, wait until you see Master Fenris' costume, Orana did such a lovely job making it.

Hawke: What do you mean by..(sees Fenris walking down the stairs and bursts into laughter)

Fenris: (dressed in a set of mage's robes) It is not funny.

Hawke: I agree it's not funny. It's hilarious.

Fenris: It feels wrong. How do you people walk in these robes or fight in them for that matter?

Hawke: Mages, don't need to go around swinging swords we're more along the lines of pointing at things and having them burst into flames. Oh! That's what you need, a staff! (rummages through a chest)

Fenris: Please don't. (Hawke hands Fenris  Malcolm's Honor) This staff is awkward.

Hawke: Aw, but you look so cute with the whole mage get up.

Fenris: We will never speak of this again.
