@shacary , LOL my boyfriend is the same way,  everytime i mention  Thane or Fenris  my  boyfriend just rolls his eyes at me. He  is like " what's with you falling for guys with deep voices"lol  I just tell him there is way more to Fenris .
I want to try to paint lyrium tattoos on him when he is sleeping. He would probably wake up  going crazy lol.

I keep trying to get him to play DA2. He played DAO but once i "liked" the game and fangirled it was over. NO way will he touch Da2 [ and i think he would like the endless waves of ninjas and corpse explosions way more than I do. He seldom cares about the RP in RPGs
O well at least I have my Fenris fangirling, and OMG his voice is soooooo awesome, I was totally smitten.

Honestly, I'm surprised that my husband hasn't pitched a fit over my fangirling Fenris yet. I mean he's seen me write he fic and some of my drawings and nothing. I think he's still latched on to my Ali-crush (which is kinda dwindling...until I replay DAO.) :-D

Also I think my next PT is going to be a HANDERS...must....be.....vigilant! Then maybe a FIHANDERS (she's just gonna flirt with everybody!) :-p
And I think I'm the only one who doesn't really mind the whole FENDERS thing. I mean two hot guys doing hot things, it's just...well, hot! :-9

After hours of walking the Wounded Coast, Hawke decides to stop and check their surroundings.


Fenris: Why are you stopping?

Hawke: (looking around a bit nervous) You know I’m all for you taking the lead every now and then
but, I think we might be lost.

Fenris: We would be there by now if you would quit stalling.

Hawke: (glares at him a bit) I understand, it’s just we have been walking for a long time now.

Fenris: Walking from one end of a coast to another is not a quick stroll Hawke.

Hawke: (sighs) I...see that too, but-

Fenris: Good then let us continue.

Hawke: Well could we at least check the map?

Fenris: The what?

Hawke: The map? (Making hand gestures in the shape of a square) The square, cloth-like thing
with city names and markers?

Fenris: I dont know what you mean, all you handed me was this daw, which makes absolutely no
sense at all.

Hawke: daw?

Fenris: (presents the folded item) yes the daw, it's right...here...

Fenris pauses then curses under his breath, realizing the map was upside down all along. Hawke however
places a comforting hand upon the elf's shoulder and sends him an endearing
gaze.

Hawke:(leans in and whispers in his ear.) It’s alright you can make up for it in peq later.

Fenris is confused at first, but smiles once he sees through to the alternative perspective.

Fenris: (with a more amorous tone) You’re not afraid I’ll get lost again?

Hawke: Not at all, you should know the curves by now.

Fenris: I don’t know; I may have to retrace the steps now and again.

Hawke: Then we should hurry home; we have a lot to cover.

So out of curiosity Fenris thread: Who's your favorit romance (except Fenris of course).

For me Izzy is at the top of the list with Fenris. I just love her to death.

The only other romance I did was a friendmance with Merrill on my male!Hawke. It was cute.... but not a favorite.

I seriously don't want to do the Anders romance (from what I've read and seen in YT clips, he sort of seems like he... uses Hawke to get to what he needs. Plus, I've heard the crazy stalker-esque line and... yeah). The Isabela one is probably going to be the next I try if I ever roll another male!Hawke-- it looks like it'd be entertaining.

Izzy is a frontrunner for me. I especially adore her as a gal pal/friends with benefits scenario, but my MHawke didn't want to change her or tie her down. I could see them having a really hot open relationship while sailing around the world, keeping lovers in every port. It wouldn't necessarily be 'romantic' but they'd have a hell of a good time.

Merrill seems too immature for my Hawkes and falls into the cute, but troubled little sister category.

Anders would have been a fun romance circa Awakeninings, but with Justice in the mix, he seems too desperate to fall in love and recreate 'normalcy', even though he's completely emotionally unstable. It feels somewhat like he uses Hawke as a emotional crutch and while I feel sorry for him, I find that somewhat manipulative and unappealing.

So, with the wonderful Fenris romance out of the running, can I, uh, pretend the unresolved sexual tension between mage Hawke and Cullen is a real romance? Or, um, that Varric is lying to Cassandra and quietly displacing all his romantic feelings for Hawke onto his crossbow?

To me, two of the non-LI characters would step up after Fenris as LIs - Varric and Aveline.  I think Varric would be the stronger of them by far, but still, I think those two would provide more to interest me personally than the others do. Isabella I love, and would probably romance as a M!Hawke, but Merrill and Anders do nothing for me. *shrug*

I like Merrill's Rivalmance personally, mostly because it's "I care about you and I don't want to see you get possessed." rather than the "Let's turn on the artifact of doom" that the friendmance focuses on.

I like Fenris. Fenris is an excellent character, but if Varric was an LI I would have a hard time picking anyone else for F!Hawke.

On the subject of Aveline romance, yes I like Aveline but if she was an LI any Hawke that would romance her would miss out on The Long Road. Which is in my opinion the funniest quest in any BW game.

On that - I was determined to drive Anders full rival this game just because I can (romancing Fenris, obviously, and consistently friendmancing Fen is rivalry gold for Anders...), but dang it, I keep doing something vaguely heroic that he actually likes once in a while. It works out something like this:

Anders: I hate you. You're sister's a mage, you jealous hypocrite, you support the circle, and want to put us all in cages. And you have a thing for that psychotic elf.

Hawke: We all have our faults...Abominanders...

*later, after any of several quests where doing the right thing morally nets you Anders friendship...*

Hawke: What?

Anders: You...did the right thing there. I'm impressed. (+ Anders friendship, putting him back at neutral)

Not to make this sound different than I mean, but... Anders is kinda easy.  In any conversation with Fenris, the most points either way that I get are like... 15. In a few conversations with Anders, I've wound up with a +30. ... usually in the wrong direction.  whatthehellboy....

@Tealsie - yes, and I know the problem (if you can call it that) is I'm not being harsh enough. I did go straight for the +25 rival response in Act 2. But, the way I've been playing this particular Hawke, some of the best RivalAnders responses are just inconsistent with who she is. I just fail where Anders is concerned. I screwed up the romance on the unspoiled PT, and I can't bottom out his rivalry. That's my fault.

SnarkyHawke may have to try to take this over when I start her back up.

OMG I AM SO HAPPY SOMEONE HERE LOVES VARRIC FOR LI TO!
My only problem with it -- even though I'd actually like Varric over Fenris -- I HAVE NO IDEA HOW THEY'D GET PAST THE FRIEND ZONE D:

ETA: I never used Anders... in any of my games... I just- I didn't make a lot of money, cause I used so much on potions and Snarky Mage Hawke didn't heal at all cause I wasn't gonna use those skillpoints that could better be used making it so she could set people on fire or something but at the same time I didn't have to listen to him, or him and Fenris bickering, so it evened out quite well for me. But back on topic: somehow I always manage to get Friendship from Abominanders. I mean- I took him on ACT OF MERCY and then sent those mages (WHO'D BEEN WORKING WITH A BLOOD MAGE, SO YES YOU GO IN THE CIRCLE, I'M NOT KILLING TEMPLARS FOR YOU) to the Circle, and it netted me like- 15 rivalry points. 15! That's it! I sent like 30 mages into the circle, and... each one was apparently worth .5 of a rivalry point.
THEN, I agree to do his missions or whatever, and instead being a raging **** to him, I have Hawke stay in character and merely be sarcastic and I get like 15 FRIENDSHIP POINTS. I- I suppose this shows how selfish he is...
