Hawke: (looking through peephole) Isabela, you are an evil, evil woman.

Isabela: Well knocking them out, stripping them, and sticking them in my room should get them to stop bickering.

Hawke: I wholeheartedly agree.

A good laugh first thing in the morning is definitely good for your health!

If none of these are good enough let me know. I have some that are closer up of his face, and farther away as well. These are just personal favorites and now I have an excuse to post them  I especially love that last one. It looks like a portrait, lol. I just imagine.

RE: the glowy kiss verses premeditated question. For me it depends on friendship metre.

The explosion of repressed feelings and passion worked for my rivalmance ladymage. There's a I want you now, needy vibe to the glowy kiss which I love. Where as the premeditated 'I wanted to be happy just one' fitted so well into my friendmance which was/is a gentler romance for a less hardened Hawke.

That's adorable.  Male on male romance with Fenris isn't overly my thing, but your drawings of your Hawke and him together make me smile.

It's a modded form of Fenris original weapon, Lethendralis.  The mod improves Fenris' sword, giving it a new, spiffy appearance and some better stats, all of which levels with Fenris.  Helps me avoid replacing the thing every few fights, actually.

It's funny, I agree with you completely, except I have the exact opposite take on it! I actually prefer the glowy kiss with a friendmance, because it feels to me like Fenris is being less of a jerk when he leaves. It takes a bit of the sting out of it to think he just let the encounter happen without thinking it through, rather than the idea that he considered it, decide to act on his feelings, and then bailed anyway.

Whereas in the rivalmance, I much prefer having Fenris initiate it. It feels more...consensual, I guess? The glowy kiss and wall push (especially with his head turned to the side) make me feel like Hawke's taking major advantage. It may be that playing a male Hawke also contributes to this impression for me. In the second scenario, when Fenris leaves and says it should never have happened, at least Hawke has the comfort of knowing that it was something Fenris entered into knowingly, regardless of his feelings afterwards. 

That's just how my Hawkes experience it.

I have to say what I do love about the premeditated kiss is that hawke can say "but you started this!" Response. Still I feel so horrible when he says "im sorry...." moreso than in the glowy scene.

Bleh I hate work! I have muses beating me over the head for a fic, a pic, and the prompt. My boyfriend is also becoming more suspicious. "Are you on those Fenris forums again?!" Im all" uhhh, but there is stuff!"

Fenris: It's just cake.

Hawke: Purchased from an immortal who makes his living selling all manner of dangerous things.

Fenris: Name one thing that Xenon sold us that did anything to harm us.

Hawke: Mirror of Transformation. You stared into it and it turned your hair pink.

Fenris: I got better.

Hawke: (sighs) That Maker's Sigh potion that you drank made you forget how to walk for a week.

Fenris: It wore off though.

Hawke: You know for someone who is constantly bringing up the evils of magic you're pretty nonchalant about the Emporium.

Fenris: (biting off another chunk of cake) This cake hasn't done anything to me. You know magic's not that bad either.

Hawke: Alright there's something wrong here.

Meanwhile at the Black Emporium

Xenon: Thadeus, have you seen the Cake of Nonchalance that I had made? I do hope that the urchin didn't get to it. Can't have him shirking his duties now can I?

SWEETS

Hawke carefully hid in the shadows awaiting the perfect moment to strike. Her eyes glittered with anticipation. Her fingers gripped the brightly colored package in her hands. Suddenly, the moment came...

The door opened slowly, and she pounced shouting...

Hawke: Sur----! (interrupted mid-sentence as her unsuspecting prey whirled on her grabbing her shoulders and pushing her back, suddenly a blue flash lit up the dark corner.)

Fenris: Fendhis! Hawke?! What were you doing, I almost.. I could have. What are you doing here?! What is that pink stuff your covered in?

Hawke: prise!? (she beamed as bits of cake ran down her face and pink icing streamed through her hair) I knew this was a bad idea. Why do I listen to Isabela!? Oh, surprise him.. good freakin idea. Almost got my heart ripped out... nice.

Fenris: (confused expression still trying to figure out what is going on) So, what exactly were you doing hiding in the shadows in my mansion, and what is this all about, Hawke.

Hawke: (flinging the now ruined cake off her brow and dabbing uselessly at her ruined shirt) Well, you don't remember your past right? So, you've never had a birthday. I was... going to surprise you. With this... (points to remnants of cake on shirt.)

Fenris: that was not a good idea. I do not like surprises.

Hawke: Apparently. Still, shame to let all this cake go to waste. You can still have some if you want (smiles devilishly as she takes her finger and puts some icing provocatively on her lips.)

Fenris: Now that I can do. (He grabs Hawke and licks the bit of cake off her lips.) Promise, though, no more surprises, okay?

Hawke: Right... (smiles) Happy birthday, Fenris....

During his Fog Warrior story when he says Danarius's expression was "priceless", and in Act 3 when he tells Danarius "I won't let you kill me to get them", that glare is wonderful.

 Hawke led her band into the Dalish camp, past the two guardians. Merril, Fenris, and Varric followed along. They had been up Sundermount a few times already, and so it was easier to ignore the two elves' comments about "shem" and their disparaging remarks about Merril.

Merril, as usual, was putting on the brave face that she always wore when returning to her people's camp, though Hawke knew that it still stung her very deeply, the rejection that she faced here.

Fenris was glancing around at the small groups of elves here and there socializing, a vaguely disdainful expression on his face. "Hawke, I do not see why it is necessary for you to acquire this ironbark. I have yet to see you actually purchase any goods from that Solivitus fellow to get this discount he is giving you."

Turning over her shoulder to look at him, Hawke shrugged. "It never hurts to make friends."

"You cannot go around expecting that everyone you do favors for will return them in the future," Fenris countered.

"Oh, come on, Elf," Varric chimed in. "Hawke has an image to uphold! She's Kirkwall's go-to woman for everyone's random problems. It's quite lucrative, after all. Don't you remember how much coin she earned just for returning that fellow's dirty socks? No matter if he got them from the Emporium. Not to mention the more significant contributions she's made to society. Every city needs a go-for."

Merril frowned at that. "Why would they need gophers in the city? There's not much ground for them to dig in."

"No, Daisie, a go-for. 'Go-for this, go-for that,' you know," he grinned.

"Oh!" Merril grinned back, obviously relieved to have something to take her mind off the looks she was getting. "That's quite clever!"

Hawke groaned, both at Varric's joking and at the truth of the matter. There really wasn't anything she could say about it, so she ignored it to go talk to Master Ilen about the ironbark.

Nearby, one of the Dalish was sitting by a campfire crying softly, and she was seemingly unashamed to be doing so in front of others. One of the other elves approached her and put a hand on her shoulder. Hawke's companions overheard her saying something about having a horrible dream the night before about losing the halla.

Fenris shook his head, his brow furrowing. "Do these elves not wish to move on? They clearly do not like being stuck here. I do not see why they have not bartered for horses to pull their carriages and leave."

Looking shocked, Merril said, "The halla don't just pull the aravels. They are spiritual partners to the Dalish. They can't just be replaced!"

"It makes no sense," Fenris said. "They should not cripple themselves for the loss of a few animals. They disdain of the elves in the alienage and of the 'shemlen', giving us looks when we come here, yet they do not leave. I find it ridiculous."

"You can't ever understand, can you?" Merril frowned.

Fenris shook his head, then after a moment he smirked a little. "I am surprised that they have not asked Hawke to find some new halla for them. Though I cannot say that I am not relieved that they have not. I do not relish the thought of wandering all over the Free Marches after some white deer." That comment caused Varric to laugh.

Hawke cleared her throat, turning back from her conversation with the Dalish crafter. "Are you all done bantering? We're off to fight Darkspawn now." She shook her head and grumbled, "Solivitus had better give me something good later, for all the trouble I've gone through to get him his silly ingredients."

Fenris glared. "You have spent more money on healing potions for these errands for him than the value of his 'discount'. You might as well go find these elves more deer, if it is so important to do favors and make friends."

"Halla!" Merril corrected indignantly.

"A deer by any other name..." Fenris smirked.

Did you not see his expression after "all that remains"? Fenris is awesome with his look when you tell him to MF Gascard...and the voice with it....
