Oh, that demo, by the way. I was just kind of hoping they will release it like they did prior to DAII....unless they don't want us to disect it and dig out all the juicy details....

If they do release a demo it'll be a hell of a lot closer to the release date. 3/6/12. Is cleaver!

Now that you mention it, yeah! :o

Now, I get that BW's presentation tomorrow is going to be focusing on The Old Republic and ME3. But can I have some non-item DA2 DLC please?

Anyway. Prompt time.

Halla:

Fenris: Why does your clan not have a herd of halla? I thought all Dalish clans had them.

Merrill: Oh, well something ambiguous happened to them.

Fenris: What do you mean ambiguous? You're the Keeper's apprentice, shouldn't you know what happened?

Merrill: I do know what happened. One moment the Halla were there perfectly fine, and then they wern't there at all I have no clue what happened.

Fenris: Perhaps this accursed mountain turned them into the undead.

Merrill: That would be horrible! Or adorable...it depends would undead halla still be all soft and fluffy?

Fenris: (muttering under his breath) Mages.

Why were there no Halla? There's nothing in the codex, nothing in the banter, perhaps it got cut along with the dungeon design committee

I've been on a bit of a ME2 bent lately... and not as often here, but pictures and videos are love! :)

Also...

I have a question (again), I was thinking about rivalmancing Fenris;
switch to Anders (friendmance) when Fenris leaves and get back together
with Fenris again in Act 3. The question is, is this possible? If the
answer is yes, how do I do it without messing it up? x.x'

You can do this, actually. You'll have to start Anders' romance after Fenris leaves (that kiss at the clinic) , but when Anders comes to your home at night, break it off after he brings up your past involvment with Fenris and insults him, so he'll leave without spending the night. (picking 'but I love him' line, or similar... don't recall the exact wording offhand.) You should be able to renew the romance with Fenris in Act III then. I know I've played it that way, and it works.

I've also heard that if you do let Anders spend the night, but break up in the morning you would also be able to backtrack to previous Fenris romance in act III, but I've never tried that, so take that with grain of salt unless someone else confirms it is possible :).

I'm  só going to try that, might try the complete Anders romance in another playthrough.

My playthrough I slept with Anders then broke it off but did not get Fenris back in act 3. I did do the pounce a hawke scene with Anders then invite him over then kicked him out before sexy time and that worked. I would say do not sleep with Anders if u want Fenris back. Did not work for me.

You can continue the relationship if you turn Anders down when he comes to your mansion (and I do this every time as I like to break his heart with the "I love Fenris" line, because I'm cruel and . . . I love Fenris) but if you sleep with him, you cannot resume Fenris' relationship, even if you break up with Anders in the morning.  Sleeping with Anders will break the relationship with Fenris for good.

I was playing Fenris' act 3 quest the other day and I noticed that compared to other humans Danarius has weird pointed ears. Could he be a half elf? It makes me wonder since they took the time to make his design unique if either some of his content was cut or if he will show up again in the future. Mages are tricky, he might not be quite as dead as we think.

Now I'm into Act 3, Anders is living with me (ugh hated his angling to move in dialogue and the 'yes' response is totally OOC for my Hawke). Fenris' Alone quest is done so now I guess I can look forward to Fenris and Isabela. sarcastic yay

The Anders romance will add a lot to Act 3 but I miss my glowing elf.

That's what I want!

Will romance Anders in a rogue playthrough. Playing as a rogue myself I don't have to take Isabela with me, so I don't have to listen to the party banter between her and Fenris. I have nothing against Isabela but I just can't take their flirting. >>'

Might take a while before I start a new playthrough, just started a new one in Origins (I need some Zev-love). Will put some hours into this game before starting DA2 again. x3

Just walking in to the tavern knowing he would be facing someone who killed an Arishok in single combat and his angry ex slave didn't seem like a well thought out plan.  Even Hadriana was better prepared.  Maybe it was really another apprentice in disguise.

Or maybe (probably) I'm just reading in to it.  After all that buildup the showdown with Danarius wasn't quite as epic as I was expecting.

Perhaps there was supposed to be more to the Danarius confrontation. The Hanged Man being the first strike where his sister is supposed to prove herself to Danarius. She meant to be a mage but just cowers during the fight WTH? Or Orana could be a spy for Danarias, if you employed her, and he later attacks you at the estate and a Fort Draken rescue ensues.

I will say though it is one of the few fights were the waves of enemies mechanic makes sense. Danarias throwing everything he could conjure at you.

I think a few things were cut regarding Fenris' quests (just a feeling, no real evidence) but I never felt that Danarius was ever that important in Fenris' character story. I always felt Fenris' story was about him trying to break free of his slave mentality, and depending on what you do with him, he can start taking steps towards this.

I wouldn't be surprised if there was meant to be more regarding Danarius, and him being half-elven would've been an interesting twist. But I'll go compare his ears with Feynriel's to see if such a theory could be possible. I should have a save before Alone and a save before Wayward Son or Night Terrors... failing that, I'll just screencap their ears on youtube.

I know how you feel. *hug* I romanced Anders on a bet to get a muffin, and it was painful. The "yes" response ot moving in with him just made me cringe. None of my characters would ever say something so dramatic so seriously. (I liked the "Sandwich?" option before that though...) I'm already doing another Fenmance playthrough to make up for it.

I loved the sandwich response! It's like the 'Chanter says what?' one in DAO, how can you not select it :D

It makes the melodramatic acceptance even worse though. Going from want a sandwich to THAT is just weird.

True, but the Sandwich response made me feel better,
As for the melodramatic acceptance, I still don't know why it was so dramatic. What's wrong with "Sure, why not" or "If the templars really are on your doorstep, then I'll let you stay here"? That was more in-character for my snarky Anders-loving mage.

Because secretly bioware LOVES cheezy one liners..

such as..

"COMMANDER, JOKER's WAITING FOR YOU ON THE DECK"

and

"but the Priiiizzee"

So really, how is

"UNTILL THE DAY I DIE"

any different?

We had better be able to romance that kid in ME3. Posted Image
I'd even take a Sebastian-esque romance. Posted Image ...which actually didn't bother me like it seems to have bothered alot of people. No sex? Why would that matter? Posted Image I love Sebastian anyway~

I'm torn between Garrus and Kaidan but I'd throw them both over for Joker.

Hawke: I want you to be here untill the day we die.

Scene cuts to Varric and Cassandra

Cassadra: Really?

Varric: What?

Cassandra: Why did your story go from being a heroic epic to some melodramatic romance?

Varric: Seeker. You have to understand something about Blondie. He thinks that the epitome of entertainment is having a cat sitting on his head. Or flaming bits of Templars raining down from the sky. I just took the liberty of applying a little artistic liscense.

Cassandra: I want the truth dwarf! Not this...this overwrought smut.

Varric: Oh come now Seeker you strike me as the kind of woman who likes- (looks down to see a dagger at his throat) Alright then, real story. Got it.

I'm just wondering why Danarius didn't use his *power of command* like he did with the fog warriors. Ordering Fenris to kill Hawke and co., and then depending on the friend/rival meter or quests completed previously he would or wouldn't attack?

If Danarius is a high ranking and skilled magister of the imperium I think anyone could defeat them if they wanted to. He was weak. imho

He actually acknowledges hawke as "your new master?" So he obviously sees Fenris has moved beyond the command thing working. Fenris at this point has been on the run so long he wouldn't do anything of the sort. He even says "shut your mouth, danarius!" I doubt he would have said that after the fog warriors. Just goes to show how far he has come.

Eh, there are waves of skellies, and guards, and demons.. and then there's no one left but Denarius, and a mage isn't very tough against a warrior that can PHAZE THROUGH YOUR ****ING CHEST and tear out your insides ;p

Hmm you are right, master with male hawke, mistress with fem hawke. Yeah we win!

haha go play it moar.

Really tho, he is a lousy mage relying on his weaksauce minions to do us in. I horror him/petrify/CP him and he's dead usually before he can do his glowing ball trick.
