I have this wacky idea that Bioware is pulling an "Avengers" on us.  We will play four characters, the Warden and Hawke and two others, then we will have our champions as a super party.  Of course we would also be able to select some of our favorite companions as well. I know it will never happen, but I like the thought.

Ugh, still learning post mechanics.

Just finished a commission from deviantart, the commissioner wanted their Hawke to sweep Fenris off his feet. I'm actually really happy with it, feet are usually hard for me to draw but drawing Fenris forces me to do them XD

I luv the artwork Reisilver! ty for sharing!
Cawti35, I wish that we did get the avenger thing going. I would luv to play both the warden and hawke with their companions like missions. Warden and her crew do misssion one, then swap to Hawke and that crew for mission 2 etc. It might be doable, but most likely to much time to implement. I dont see EA allowing much time to Bioware gensius'.
I still have hope we will get meaningful dlcs for the 3 year gap too, but in leiu of the armor dlc ,,,, mb it wont be coming , seems liek the missing dialog they already recorded alluded to other stories or at least more of the stories to tell. A girl can hope I guess. *crosses fingers* at least Hope is still free teehee.

I think they are working on story DLC's.  I was browsing the DLC thread and one of the dev's said they were working on them, but he wasn't allowed to say what they are about or when they would be out.  More Fenris please! :D

My two cents on this week's prompt.

                                                                                Johnny Depp

Fenris and Depp are seated at the Hangman having drinks.

Fenris: It sounds like you have worked with some fascinating people. Tell me was there anyone that wished you had not had to work with?

Depp: The monkey, my friend hands down the monkey was the worst to work with. How about you?

Fenris points to Anders who is seated at the end of the bar whining and moaning about the plight of Mages, the cost of beer and why doesn’t Hawke love him. Depp turns to Fenris his eyes wide.

Depp: I can give you the monkey’s number mate.

I hope its meaty instead of like blech. In the darkspawn DLC from DAO I couldnt bare to kill any of my companions, I cared to much about them. I tried to force my b/f to do it cuz as a an Alistair fangirl he sooo hated me playing that game. I figured it would give him a chance for revenge so to speak. But Noooooooo! lol
and Leliana;s song was glitched for me, I could not get the quest target npcs to interact or anything. so eventually I gave up on that. And there was precious little of Morrigan in Morrigans story. SO ya MORE Fenris! not just as the "title" either I hope lol
ty for link Pat

I wonder what the DLC will be about. Honestly I hope it is something from the "3 year breaks" so all the characters can join up again.

I completely agree that if your going to have a personal story (ala witch hunt) you should feature the character that the story is.. you know.. actually about. I was so disappointed with witch hunt and the origins DLC. I didn't much care to play the darkspawn one. It was kind of bleh to me. I just didn't really care about the darkspawn all that much.

If they do a personal DLC for Fenris it would be fascinating to see some Tevinter. I don't know if Fenris would ever go back there, but it would be awesome to see none the less. I hope Danarius is dead though. If they do the whole "bring back the whole nemesis so we can have a story thing" I'm going to be disappointed. Yet, if they do a personal DLC then I wonder if Hawke would be in it.

Point is.. I'm up for some meaty DLC too. I would, however, like all the characters to be joined up again in DLC. An epic quest or some disaster that wasn't spoke of. Maybe something Varric didn't know that happened to Hawke. Oh, so many things.

I have an odd question, Fenris thread.

I just finished a Fenris romance, and my next character is going to be one of my "torn between caring about pretty much everyone" characters. Here's my conundrum.

I'm definitely befriending him, and eventually triggering the "command me to go and I shall" scene. I just can't figure out what is better for Fenris - should my Hawke realize that things aren't going to work out between them, and tell him to go, or go through with the romance and move on after?

This Hawke is one who would have stayed with Fenris if not for the three years. In my headcanon, if they hook up, she'll probably spend about six months trying to get him to talk before giving up. I'm not sure if there are enough warning signs to allow her to make the "we shouldn't do this" judgment call, and I don't know whether having that night is better or worse for Fenris in the long run.

Opinions?

I'm about to go to bed so this post will make even less sense than my usual rambles but my instinctual feeling is that the scene after Bitter Pill where Fenris is angry and pretty much all over the place is a good break-up point.

During that quest the depth of Fenris' bitterness towards mages and magic is really highlighted. For a pro-mage freedom/mage Hawke being confronted with the strength of it could make him/her re-assess getting involved with someone who hates a vital part of who they are.

I think we all need our failings, and the best of people still make mistakes, especially romantically, especially when they don't have all the information. If your Hawke hasn't seen the warning signs, then basically what you need to decide is how cautious she is. If she's just a very, very careful person, then she should think ahead and see that staying with him is a bad idea, but if she's not, then I think she can be forgiven for taking the plunge and just hoping everything would work out. After that, it's all on Fenris.

Interesting question. I've actually thought about this a bit as well. Honestly, I think it is better in the long run for Fenris not to have that night if Hawke isn't going to be there for him in Act 3 when he is ready to "move on." Rationale for this is the fact that Fenris is so distraught after that night stating "maybe you don't realize how serious this is!" It's like his past is tormenting him, and to just break up with him saying "this meant nothing" or to just let it fall apart makes me think that he's always going to remember it and regret it. He already regrets it if you pick up the romance again, but I think even if you don't and move on he still has those feelings for Hawke and maybe even loves Hawke. He is especially bitter if you go to Anders afterwards saying "if you break his/her heart I'll kill you," and the whole "do not bear your heart to me mage" line.

If you just let him leave he might regret that nothing happened but I think he can moved past it a lot easier and maintain the idea that he has a friend always, and maybe it could have been something else but who knows. Whereas if you sleep with him and have him leave it is a constant weight in his mind (so it seems to me) that he made a mistake in leaving and "he was a coward," and his past shouldn't be keeping him from the things and people he loves. That is a lot harder to get over I think than just telling him it's better to go. Just my two cents on the thing. Even if Hawke spends 6 months or longer/shorter time confronting Fenris on it I think that would make it worse. He hasn't figured out what he feels yet, and how he is supposed to deal with it. To have Hawke trying to have him answer questions he doesn't know the answer to is more torment to him I would think. Then because he isn't ready/taking to long she leaves and moves on and bam! chance gone. I think that would hurt Fenris more than anything else.

You've got to keep in mind that Fenris is an amnesiac. He doesn't have memories of childhood crushes, teenage romances, and adult relationships to inform the choices he makes about the who, where, when, why, and how of falling in love. Hawke may be the first person he can remember ever having these strange, powerful feelings about, and left to his own devices will plunge headlong into a situation that he then discovers, the hard way, he's not ready for.

In fact that is exactly what happens to him in all cases of the romance Dreamer. I agree. The point I was making about his "past" haunting him is because he always will remember that feeling and that moment where he got his memories back and then lost them.

It's a profound thing to go through, and that coupled with the feelings he was having to even bring on the flashes of memory.. "it's to much..." So then to just break it off with him after that and move on to someone else doesn't seem like a good thing for him in the long run. He will not have those memories return then vanish if you don't sleep with him. He will simply learn to rely on you as a friend. If he does have that night, those feelings, and that moment. They do not go away, and that is evident if you pick up the romance again. It just takes him a long time to figure it out, more time than most people are willing to wait.

I completely agree with you Dreamer, he has a lot of emotional growing up to do and to just be thrust into such deep, chaotic feelings, and to have your amnesia disapper (even for a moment) on top of that. There is a quote I'm reminded of:

"Be patient toward all that is unsolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves like locked rooms and like books that are written in a very foreign tongue. Do not now seek the answers, which cannot be given you because you would not be able to live them. And the point is, to live everything. Live the questions now. Perhaps you will find them gradually, without noticing it, and live along some distant day into the answer." - Rainer Maria Rilke

Okay folks, I want to make sure I did this correctly. I was going to romance Anders, but changed my mind. I finished Dissent and then chose a flirt response. When Anders showed up to my house and called Fenris a beast, I told him to not call Fenris that and broke off the relationship. Can I still get Fenris in Act 3?

You should be able to get him back if you broke up with Anders. However, don't flirt with anyone else as it might set their flag on and break Fenris coming back.

It should work fine, I've broken Anders' heart many a time. Horrible me that I am.

Whew! Thanks for the info. No flirting for my Salamen. She isn't in the mood for love right now any way. Anders was a rebound. When he started dissing Fenris, she realized where her heart belonged and it definitely didn't belong to the man standing in front of her.
