He left the rotting bodies there so long that they began to sprout mushrooms? Posted Image
It's too bad we don't ever get a banter with Aveline giving Fenris a talking-to, because Donnic began to complain at her about the mess and smell whenever he goes over to the mansion. Posted Image

Edit: for the top...

Speaking of rotting bodies and such in fenris' mansion. It is prolly just me but that fallen painting in fenris mansion bothers me. I always want to hang it up. Also, wtf is up with the mushrooms in there. Lol

He wanted a readliy available source of mushrooms, without having to forage around Kirkwall. You know how dangerous the streets are, especially at night.;)

As every companion seems keen on telling me. <_<

He should grow Deep Mushrooms for my Hawke. :P

Lol

Fenris: hawke I got you something.

Hawke: mushrooms?

Fenris: you were expecting flowers or something?

Hawke: no, its just... weren't these the mushrooms growing in the corpses at your mansion? That's hardly romantic.

Fenris: it was meant to be practical. They are actually quite good.

Hawke: you ate these corpse mushrooms? What..why?

Fenris: of course. They were growing. I ate them.

Hawke: your.... kidding

Fenris: yes hawke im kidding.

Hawke: I almost was going to try one.

Fenris: I don't recommend that.

There seriously needed to be a side quest of "Clean the bodies out of Fenris' mansion" I'm not clean freak, far from it, but that CAN'T be healthy.

I can totally see my Marric Hawke using force magic to gather all the bodies in one, out of the way, room at least. He wouldn't even ask either and then Fenris could yell at him

I know right? they could toss the corpses in Darktown, not like anyone would notice... am I right?

OO btw   awesome art as  always. I am  always  in awe... of course  for me it is a  challenge to even  color  with a crayon in the  lines   :)  AND that is not to  negate in any way the  awesome  pics  peeps  posting.

Screw that.

1. Wait until Fenris leaves the mansion.
2. Sneak in, and block all points of entry with impossible magical cantrips/cunning traps (or both).
3. Take all the bodies into the cellar and burn them up until they're ashes (sweep and dispose of those),
4. Put on a mask and really thick gloves as well clothes you don't mind ruining, get some straight ammonia and bleach* ****, about a hundred scrub-brushes, and start scrubbing.
5. Bag all mushrooms and give them to Varric and see if he can sell them (otherwise, burn those OUTSIDE of Kirkwall-- you don't know what sort of gases they'll give off when burned).
6. Dust EVERYTHING! (Remember to also burn the cobwebs and spider webs. Bring a large mallet as well if spiders get loose)
7. Take all furniture outside (after dragging it past your magical cantrips/cunning traps if Fenris is not back yet) and let it air out.
8. Remove all garbage**.
9. Repair damaged floor-tiles.
10. Get that elf some tarps for the holes in his roof until it can be repaired (I am not climbing up there and fixing those by myself. No way. Did you see the huge one where the stairs are? That's like the freaking gateway to the abyss!)
11. Get him five cats (Fluffy, Snufflekins, Cutie-Pie, Serah Fi-Fi, and Bubba***) as well. If the house is in that much need of help, he probably has rats and mice somewhere in the house. Birds (large and small) have also likely taken roost somewhere, so don't be surprised to find feathers in the hair balls and cat feces.
12. Clean hair-balls and cat-feces before leaving. (DO NOT REMOVE CATS. Their services are still needed.)
13. Oh, wait, you forgot to put the furniture back inside! Do so now! (Again, maneuvering past your magical cantrips/cunning traps)
14. Congrats! You just finished finally cleaning Fenris's house. You may now do the following:
-- Show off your work
--- Introduce Fenris to his new pets, Fluffy, Snufflekins, Cutie-Pie, Serah Fi-Fi, and Bubba.
----> Run for your life.

*Acid is also a viable option. Use only at your own risk, and only as needed.
**Garbage excludes wine bottles. Collect 'em all and put them in a pyramid stack somewhere convient for being thrown at walls.
***Everyone needs a Bubba cat.
**** Don't mix the ammonia and bleach. Unless you want to die from a painful chemical death.

Hawke: (Walking into Mansion) Fenris! Everyone's heading down to the Hanged Man Do you want to...(enters the main lobby)  Maker's breath Fenris what is this?

Fenris: It is my home

Hawke: Did a small army try to break in?

Fenris: No, these are from when we took the mansion from Danarius.

Hawke: You just left them where they sat? Fenris, its been six years!

Fenris: Well I can't exactly cart them out into the street to be taken away. Most people tend to have an adverse reaction to seeing a small pile of demon corpses in the street.

Hawke: Do you want me to send Bodhan over? If he and Sandal can clean up the blood, mud, and other foulness that I bring home I bet they could have this place cleaned up in no time.

Fenirs: It is fine the way it is.

Hawke: But it looks like...well it looks like we went through it.

Fenris: It scares off the guards and the tax collectors. It is fine as it is.

Hawke: (sighs) Men.

I always justified Fenris not cleaning his mansion because he simply does not care enough about the place to do anything. Also, it really deters people from nosing around that mansion, LMAO. Nothing says abandoned mansion like rotting corpses, mushrooms, and deterioration everywhere. That, and the devs didn't have the time/money/willpower to change the house after you ransack it.

I bet he keeps all the bodies and vacant demeanor out front to deter anyone from thinking that he actually lives there. However, he does tend to keep that back room at least somewhat tidy what with the books laying about, random papers, and the lyre sitting by the bench. LOL I always wondered about that lyre... does Fenris actually try to play it? Can he play it? Just perpetuates the image in my head of Fenris as a rockstar.

Also, I'm tired, and I need to sleep -- been working last 2 days. gahhh such long days.

1. Not enough to fix the holes in the roof in that room. *Slightly obsessed with the holes in the ceiling*

2. Oh, hell. F-Gen babies for my legacy on TS2 are so screwed. 2/3 must now have the Music career and become Rock Gods (Fire on fiddle/violin, Fenris on lute) (Requires that E-Gen behaves and has a girl and a boy sometime, not like gyped A-Gen and B-Gen, where I had all girls and then all boys (respectively)).

Lute -- damn... I am tired... >.< Lyre is that harp looking thing. I totally know my instruments can you tell??

Also, that scene where you give Fenris the blade of mercy. WTF window is he looking out? I always wondered that. I was looking around his mansion for potential windows and could not find one that resembles that scene. They are either to high up, or just plain don't look like the one in the cutscene. Could he actually be in Hawke's mansion? It riddles my mind.

For one, I could be wrong about the lute. I haven't really seen it in a while because I've been distracted by TS2.

Trying to picture where that room sits in my mind, though, for that window. Perhaps over the courtyard to the Viscount's Keep? That's the only place I can think of, as the mansion would share a wall with that area. Could also be a small, back garden in-between.

Damn, there goes the joke in my mind that when Hawke looks out his/her window and exclaims to "Put some clothes on, man!"

Okay, not my usual format/way of doing things, so please forgive the complete suckitude...  Also, I've never written Sebastian before, so...

Prompt: Candles

Setting: Chantry, near Andraste's banner.  Fenris, squatting, blows out a small flame before a bank of candles.

Sebastian: Fenris!  Fancy meeting you here, of all places.

Fenris: Is there something you wished of me?

Sebastian:  You have to admit, the Chantry isn't the first place one would think to find you.  For whom do you pray?

Fenris:  Do I ask you pointed questions about everything you do?

Sebastian:  There is no shame in seeking solace here, my friend.  If you need anything further...

Fenris:  I need to be left alone.

Sebastian:  One only lights candles for those one mourns or for those who have gone missing.

Fenris:  Is there a point you wish to make?

Sebastian:  Though many have died at our hands, and many victims breathed their last at the hands of those we've slain, only a few worthy of mourning.

Fenris:  If you must know, the candles are for Hawke's mother.

Sebastian:  As I suspected.  Have you told Hawke of your prayers?  She would be touched, I think.

Fenris:  That candelabra looks tarnished.  Shouldn't you go polish it?

Sebastian:  I lit several of my own candles for Leandra and Hawke thanked me.  I think she would thank you with much more enthusiasm.

Fenris:  You said you're allowed to take confessions?

Sebastian:  Is there something you wish to get off your chest?

Fenris:  That man, pacing back and forth, looks like he's troubled.

Sebastian:  Why won't you tell Hawke?  It's obvious she cares deeply for you.

Fenris:  Starkhaven's languishing without proper Vael rule.  Shouldn't you do something about that?

Sebastian (laughs):  Fine, fine.  I'll leave you to your prayers.

LOL Lizzbee, that was awesome. Doc always has cool prompts too! OOO MRC what ever became of the fenris painting? Has it been posted lately? I havent seen the update unless you are on DA too?
Ya the height of the window in that cutscene is too high for it to be one of those in the lute pic?

@MadameRoseCrimsynn - Wow! I just nearly spit my drink all over my keyboard reading your Fenris's House Clean-up Plan. That was hilarious! Totally what I needed to read after my 2:30 am wake-up time for work! I really want to see Fenris's reaction to the kitties. If he doesn't like them, I'm sure Anders would adopt the little fluffballs. Then again, I don't even know if Fenris could really be averted to a Bubba cat. Everyone really does need a Bubba cat. :P

So... I finished the game with Fenris as my LI. And as we come to the Gallows I do not think twice about supporting the mages. Until Fenris decides to betray me, and I end up having to kill him... *WHY* would he even join with the Templars?! He doesn't like them any more than he likes the mages, surely?

Eh, regardless. It was interesting, though. After I finished the game, and he had supposedly been slain, Varric still suggested that Fenris was at my Hawke's side in the end. Which has led me to begin a fanfiction about Fenris. From the moment he betrays my Hawke, to the way they find their way back to each other. Because Fenris doesn't die. He can't. :/

So he _can_ betray you if you're in a romance with him? ...:crying: I've always had him at 100% Friendship at the end, so I've not had this problem. (Haven't Rivalmanced him yet...)

The whole Fenris being with you despite being slain is just a bug that they've not fixed.

Well, either that, or Fenris is a zombie.

Fenris can betray you if you're not at 100% (or close to it) rival or friend with him, however if you've triggered certain conversation points with him (supposedly, if you talk with him about slavery) you can talk him into coming back with you.

However, I think that triggering these conversations may require that you not dive straight for the flirt every time you talk to him... I'm not entirely sure. Does anyone here know exactly what conversations must happen for you to get the "talk Fenris out of turning against you" option?

Strange. Is your rival/friend romance reach 100%? It had enver happened to me before.

I was told you can still turn him around in the last minute.

Well, yes, he can, but only if you haven't done his last Questioning Beliefs quest and/or have less than 100% friend/rival.

And no! D: My Hawke just hit Fenris very lightly on the head and knocked his silly arse out. He'd never kill him for realz. :P You can't ruin my fanfic before it's even done man. I'm not having a Fenzombie! XD

EDIT: Okay, if you haven't gotten Fenris' loyalty to full, and done all his quests he will leave you to join the templars. But apparently, if your friendship is high enough you can get him back. Meaning, if you have him on a rivalry path, you're doomed.

By the final battle, I hadn't done his final Questioning Beliefs, and I had him on the Rivalry path. So I was doomed. :/ Still, I'll repair this in fanfic.

Hawke: You play the lute?

Fenris: It's just for show. Varric said that my home needed a "conversation piece".

Hawke: And you chose a lute?

Fenris: Well we are having a conversation about it, I'd say that it is doing its job.

Anyway:

Honey:

Hawke Estate

Fenris: (adjusting his shirt) Why must I wear this?

Hawke: Fenris, its a dinner party. Its customary to dress up for these sort of occasions.

Fenris: I feel naked. Can I at least have my sword?

Hawke: It's just our friends Fen, it will be alright. We'll all be uncomfortable together.

Meanwhile at Aveline's Home

Donnic: I think you look lovely.

Aveline: (wearing a dress) I feel naked. Can't I just wear my dress plate?

Donnic: Love, we got married in full armor. I don't that one day without wearing it will kill you.

Aveline: Can I at least have my sword? Just the silly Orlesian dueling blade Isabela gave me?

Donnic: (sighs) Will it make you feel better?

Aveline: Yes.

Donnic: Then go ahead.
