Why would you do that? Fenris is a good Warrior companion and you only get 5 sovereigns. Compare that to Zevran who sold for 6 sovereigns when he was a kid. Danarius is ripping you off.

Because I rarely used him, gained nothing by keeping him, and...

Rayin Hawke disliked both him and Anders, and would have turned the latter in to the Templars had the option presented itself.

Raina Hawke was a big fan of Danarius and wants to setup a new Tevinter Imperium after the mage revolution.  She used Fenris for sex, sold him back to Danarius, and then asked for him to autograph her boobs.

Danarius is ripping the player off though.  Selling Fenris should set you up for life.

Thanks for that, I've never actually seen it before.

Always sold Fenris.

Me too. He reminds me too much of my ex-husband.

Although I love to see alternate outcomes when I game, but I never had the stones to give him back to Denarius. I always wussy out, so I ended up watching the scene on YouTube.

I did it once...then was very sorry I had.  I couldn't do that to any of Hawke's companions.

Why would anyone want to sell Fenris anyway? Posted Image Unless they're rollplaying their character who dislikes him or something. That I can understand. Bless my darling's hearts, not a one of my babies has ever been alright with selling him(each for their own reasons). Posted Image

The reason even douchebag Hawke (whose friends with Fenris anyway) will never sell Fenris. 5 Sovereigns? WTF is 5 lousy sovereigns at that point in game? I RP it as DB Hawke finished off Danarius the second he flashed 5 lousy sovereigns that was an insult to him AND Fenris.

Unless you get the bug where Fenris comes back to be sold to Danarius all over again every time you enter The Hanged Man, in which case you're pretty much rich.

... I laughed, but I could really have used without that particular mental image. Alright then. I can accept that

*mental image of Denarius signing Hawke's boobies*

Side note: Yeah, Fenris should go for a LOT more than that! Hell, the lyrium in his skin alone is worth more.

I can't either. I just can't do "mean" playthroughs of any game. It'd upset me too much.

Seriously.  Such a rip-off.  I really wish Hawke could have haggled with him.

Hawke: FIVE sovereigns?  Are you kidding me?  We both know he's worth way more than that.
Danarius: Okay, fine.  You write down a number you think is reasonable and we'll go from there.
Hawke: Let me get some paper...
Fenris: ;_;

Oh, I can. Posted Image It can be quite fun. The problem I've found so far is that even my mean kids have reasons for not turning him over. Like... my main boy is completely alright with slavery(though he respects Fenris for escaping), but he's come to see Fenris as property, so won't hand him over. Posted Image another won't just because he knows it'll mean fighting with a magister, and he's a blood-thirsty freak. Posted Image

Rayin Hawke wasn't mean. He just thought a human (elf?) weapon that had a violent anti-mage prejudice was just as potentially dangerous given the situation as Kirkwall as the apostate abomination who wrote manifestos about mage freedom. He was just ruthlessly pragmatic and given the stakes in Act 3, having to do things he wasn't proud of if he thought they could ease the tensions in the city.

He didn't enjoy selling Fenris. Raina did though, she got a kick out of it.

I have a tough time with mean playthroughs too.  With some characters I try to be pragmatic but it doens't always work.

Maybe mean wasn't the best word (I'm rubbish with terms and stuff sorry)

Example when I have a choice to kill someone in game who deserves it I still find it hard. Even if on my pro-mage playthrough I still can't kill the Templar etc. Damn my reasoning.

I haven't even been viscount yet. Can't kill the mages...

On the right playthrough it does make sense to sell him but if I ever managed to get that far I'd chicken out, I've seen his expression via youtube, made my heart break.

I can't sell Fenris back to Danarius in any of my playthroughs. It's just... the whole scene made me break down and re-load.

I can play evil, chaotic neutral, or whatever alignment pretty well (and it's fun)...but dammit the voice acting was too good there. I fold pretty quick.

I finally did the non-blue kiss, which I found I prefered (I always friendmance him) so was nice of him to kinda make the move more. Well thats how I see it anyway.

I prefer that one, having gotten both. :)  And this thread is a dose of awesome when I really could use it. B)

OK, I lied. I did rewrite it. :) (ETA: Darn formatting gremlins...)

Prompt: The Warden/Kirkwall

“Maker watch over you, my friend.”

With that, Alistair turned from Hawke’s party and the Grey Wardens retreated into the smoky streets.  Aniya
shook her head slightly, as Aveline’s voice cut through her surprise.

“That other Warden was right, Hawke. We need to go too.”  The warrior tapped Hawke’s shoulder.

“Right.” Aniya closed her hand on the amulet she’d been given, turned, and glanced at the others. Anders had been more or less trying to hide his own identity, though there was no doubt that at least one of the Wardens besides Alistair had recognized him. One of them, the one who warned Alistair they needed to go, definitely had. Aniya could have sworn that that particular Warden had practically spat the mage’s name, though the helm muffled the sound.

As they headed towards Hightown, Fenris matched strides with her.

“Did you hear the female Warden – the one who first recognized Anders?” he asked. "I have to wonder why he wasn't dealt with earlier. She sounded like she meant that..."

Aniya blinked and didn’t hear the rest of what he said after that. Fenris was right. That voice had definitely been female, and the Warden had been smaller in build than the rest. She’d also had an air of authority about her, even though Alistair did the talking. Even he had deferred to her when she decided it was time to go – and Alistair’s story had him as formidable in his own right, with considerable authority among Ferelden’s Wardens.  That particular Warden had been fairly anonymous – her helmet revealed only blue eyes and a lock of black hair.

Wait...

“Flames! I’m such an idiot!”

Fenris turned and eyed her dubiously. “What?”

Aniya caught up with him and laughed at herself.

“That wasn’t just any Warden, the one who sounded like she wanted to kill Anders. She’s killed an Archdemon. I’m guessing Anders wouldn’t even slow her down, Justice or no.”

Now it was Fenris’s turn to look surprised. “Are you certain?”

“It had to have been. Think about it. We were working on The History of the Fifth Blight. Who is one of the few female Ferelden Wardens? That was Alistair of the Grey.  Who else is going to be that familiar with him, and command that kind of authority over Wardens? I just wish I’d have put two and two together earlier. That’s someone I wish I could meet for longer than a few seconds.”

They continued on towards Hightown, with the shouts of Qunari in battle halting any further conversation.

***************************************************************************************

“I hope you don’t mind that I gave her that pendant. Something about her story got to me.”

Alistair leaned on the rail of the ship that was now carrying their band away from the smoking mess that was Kirkwall.

His companion removed her helmet, shaking free a long, black braid, snorted, and poked him in the ribs. “No, you big softie.”

Alistair sighed and gave her The Eyebrow.

“Seriously,” Iryne Cousland, former Commander of the Grey in Ferelden, commented. “I’m glad that you thought of it. I wish we could have done more, but I’m already in enough hot water with the First as it is. Did you recognize her name?”

Alistair shook his head. "No, I was too busy trying to figure out how to keep you from killing Anders on the spot."

"Don't remind me," Iryne said coldly, then continued in a lighter tone. “That’s the woman who sent Avernus’ research back. I remember her letter. She's the one who didn’t let it fall into the wrong hands. For that alone, she deserved more help from the Wardens than we can really give, Anders or no.” Iryne sighed.

“And that’s where the First and I disagree about how things should be.” She stared out to sea and continued to muse aloud. “And there she was, charging headlong into fire, smoke, and danger, and dragging a few of her best friends with her. Sounds familiar.”

“I don't think we've heard the last of Aniya Hawke.”

***************************************************************************************

ETA an afterthought: My !Canon Warden's issue with Anders stems solely from his theft from and abandonment of the Grey Wardens. She was quite fond of him before that, even if she found him irritating at times. (Her attitude is, "Who isn't?")

Zevran puts out.

As opposed to Fenris, who, quite obviously, never puts out for the entirity of the game even if you flirt with him at every oppertunity. No no, he's sworn to chastity...
oh, wait, that's that other guy who wants Anders dead.

anyway back on topic:

I really need to rivalmance Fenris at one point but I just find it hard. :pinched:

I ended up looking up some guides for what gives the most rivalry (wanted to rivalmance Fenris as pro-mage anti-slavery so I have to get it maxed before Bitter Pill, got worried in Dissent saving Ella netted me friendship but then telling her to flee maxed Fenris' rivalry out without breaking Marric's character *boogie time* Helped playing a mage as that can get you a LOT of rivalry right off the bat.)
Rivalmancing Fenris is so fun for me XD Belligerent Sexual Tension, horrah!
speaking of which one of my favorite rivalmancing-Fenris-Akiva-Hawke-with-Jealous-Anders done by Aimo

OK, so I was going to post all of the pictures of the Legacy Family, but it's much more easier for me just to link them.

Today, I got back to playing with my TS2 Legacy-- well, not directly with the family much, but with the neighborhood. Most of my day (outside of a couple of breaks) was taken up by moving the legacy family out of their temporary house which was home for the last three days of D-Gen, all of E-Gen, and the start of this generation, F-Gen, into their new and improved version of the original legacy house (much more spacious, and all of the kids have their own rooms. The old version of the house went to the Hawke family, which is why the house with the Hawkes and with the Legacy family looks highly similar (the colors are somewhat different, and of course, the Hawke house is much more compact)).

After I got the Legacy family settled in their new home (*Cough*Thrown-on-the-lot*cough,cough*), I went to the Hawkes to get Marian to childhood and Bethany and Carver born (note that I sped up Leandra's pregnancy because I wanted to get some cute shots of toddler!Marian with toddler!Bethany and toddler!Carver-- it's not the legacy house, so I can cheat that way :D).

Since it isn't directly Fenris, I'm posting links:
- Toddler!Carver playing with "Papa Bear"
- Toddler!Marian and Toddler!Bethany "huggle-ing" (Marian is in blue with straight hair; Bethany is in pink with curly hair)
- Child!Marian (with a new hairstyle that I thought looked cute on her)
- Child!Marian and Toddler!Bethany playing with the dollhouse (D'aww! I wish I could find the one with Toddler!Marian eating one of the doll's feet and Toddler!Bethany looking all shocked)

I got to the Legacy family shortly after Child!Marian aged up. First thing Child!Fenris did in the new house? Bubbles.

I also have:
- Child!Fenris dancing!
- One of Child!Fenris's typical times when he plays with his teddy bear now. [1] [2] [3]  Slightly bi-polar there...
- Another picture of Child!Fenris with his teddy bear-- this time carrying it.
- Child!Fenris after his first day of school-- it looks like it didn't go over really good, but at least it wasn't terrible.
- Child!Fenris and Ezio building a snowman (:P)
- Child!Fenris playing Peek-a-Boo with Toddler!Fire
- And lastly, Child!Fenris. Petting a penguin.  I want one.

Bonus shots (because I will always have some):
- The back of Child!Marian's current hairstyle (I love it so much! I wish I could style my hair like that!)
- The penguin, and a random cat leaving the legacy house.
- Child!Fenris plays with a rocket.
- And, via SimPE, I exported a copy of Child!Fenris out of the game to see what he's going to look like all grown up (using BodyShop). Tell me what you think of him. :D

OK, my splurge of TS2 Fenris is over.

That looks awesome (I'd probably build a tat mod to put in the lyrium markings tho in my own copy, not saying you should add that). Are you going to upload and share the character on The Sims Exchange? or ModtheSims?

<-- Still needs to buy Generations

--Lyrium markings
Personally, I have no artistic talent. I probably could find someone who does have the time and patience to try to do the markings, but it'd probably have to be a skintone to get the complete set, and not say, facial paint (which I like for any markings because I wouldn't have to use SimPE to alter the skintone to get those markings). So no Lyrium markings for TS2 Fenris (I'm disappointed, but it's just like not having the armor for him or Marian Hawke either), because, even if I requested someone to do it, probably by the time they finish them, he'll be well out of the Legacy house, or at the elder stage.

-- If I did upload him, it would not to be the exchange. It would either be ModTheSims, or (more likely) Garden of Shadows. Main reason why GoS over MTS because that I've heard of people with legitimately bred Sims who extracted them and uploaded them to MTS, and were then reported for stealing because their Sim looked similar to one someone else made. GoS is a lot better about that-- they understand that Sims can be bred and look like other Sims (Ezio (who was Gen-E heir and completely natural bred) actually looks almost EXACTLY like my guy I created from my BaseGen-- they just have different eye colors, and I did something different with the facial hair)

-- Bah, TS3. Ambitions redeemed it somewhat for me. Late Night ruined it again, and since I've had no desire to play TS3 and went back to TS2.
