ummm?... *hands MRC emo cheer up cookie, and tissues*

Nothing worse than corrupt files >.<. I feel your pain. I really.. really.. do.

Thank-you. *Sniffle and blows nose in tissue* It's... really, really, really, really, really, really, really painful. My poor baby on Oblivion who's gone through hell and kept on going is getting... DELETED! *Sobs!*

That gives me some hope for sims 3 though. I have a big beefy gaming puter that I spend way to much time and money investing in. It can handle the sims 3 workload, but I am concerned about crashes and such because they seem rampant in that game. Also mods.. I want me some DA mods. I ventured into mod territory ONE time. ONE.. and never again.. *shakes fist* NEVER AGAIN! So, I leave it up to professionals, LOL.

I *do* have amazing computer. Even I have problems running it (lag kills me-- even if it's slight, and my computer sounds like it's going to blow up whenever I run it. Plus the 45min to hour long time it takes to load my town got extremely old, extremely fast). And I simply can't stand the kiddie direction TS3 is headed, and the character models, I think I've made pretty clear, want to make me gouge my own eyes out.

In other news to keep the thread on Fenris... I am officially not allowed to talk about Fenris anymore to my boyfriend :(. He pretty much told me that I am obsessing over him, and he likes DA2 as much as the next guy, but enough is enough. *sadface* I have a LOTR obsession as well, but he knew what he was getting into.. muahahaha.

Still.. no more Fenris talk... I might go nuts... >.<

My policy: Do it anyway. :D

And I wonder why I have problems with making friends. Tell me *not* to do something, and that's like an open invitation to me to do it anyway.

=Edit=

TOP!

And we haven't seen this thing in such a long time (what venturing back into this thread brings back):

*Sigh* Back in the days it was called the "hip-wiggle" and we were desperately trying to figure out what he was saying.

LMAO, indeed.

I kept away from any and all DA2 news. I joined the party AFTER the game came out. Of course it was like the day after I finished it.. which was like the day after it was released >.<.

Then it took me a good loooong time before I even registered my game on here and all that mess. My DA:O still isn't even registered on here... or my Awakenings, but I wanted to participate in a few.. *ahem* threads so it finally got to me for DA2.

My favorite thing for Hawke in that scene where we walk into the hanged man..

Fenris: what's wrong, why are you so...
Hawke: I'll give you 3 guesses! *rolls eyes*

I love it... totally Ackbarred, and we all knew it! Fenris, why do you have to be right like.. all the time! LOL.

I feel your pain ... My husband is one of those who thinks Fenris is a bit of a douche so I've had to keep my growing fascination and appreciation of the brooding elf secret and avoid doing any of the Fenris related quests while he's around and if he does catch my Hawke romancing Fenris my answer is always "He's less annoying than Anders" Posted Image

Other than my own Hawk, I really like this pairing. Somehow it really pleased my eyes. :D

I haven't played Oblivion in a long time Madame Rose Crimsynn  but your post brought it all back. Decision made I'm definitely buying Skyrium.
I'm sorry about your corrupt file, that has to hurt.

Now for my tale of woe. All this talk about TS2 made me nostalgic so I went hunting for the disk, and I finally found it in a box of stuff that was never unpacked from my old place, and it's been SNAPPED IN HALF! As if what my ex did to my LOTR dvds wasn't bad enough.

I think you can do like a digital download if you have the key. The sims 3 and all xpacs are on sale on steam right now for 80 bucks if anyone is interested too.

I often avoid doing fenris type stuff on my computer when my boyfriend is around too. I get all embarrassed or paranoid maybe is the right word if the romance scene comes up and he's in the room. LOL, I don't know why.. maybe guilty conscious? I had no problem when it was Isabela.

I also have a pic by smailika on my desktop and he is like "OMG, is that HIM on your desktop again? Really?" I'm like "you know when I have Aragorn or Lelouch or even Alistair or Zevran you say nothing, but Fenris and all of a sudden it is 'HIM'? I'm so not changing it."

I love that pic of Izzy and Fenris btw. There isn't a lot of art on the two. It doesn't really anger me though so I'm all "meh." As said, the only one better is MY Hawke, lmao. But that's what everyone says.. muahaha.

Aye, it makes me feel really old too.

Although I wasn't here in his M.E.G. days-- I didn't come into the thread until he was officially Fenris and I learned about him via DA2 wiki instead of the DA2 site.

Don't worry.

I'm not far behind.

I'm sorry about your corrupt file, that has to hurt.

So bad. I'm up 6:13 AM right now (mainly because I'm watching the sentencing of a certain American trial concerning a certain American mother who supposedly killed her daughter :pinched:) and I'm now going to try a couple of things before I nuke the save (and if it's unsavable, write down my character's stats and such so I can use console to catch her back up to where she was after I attempt to remake her-- like I said, I can oddly still load the save, but from that save on, I cannot save at all).

Hanged Man, 'Alone'

Fenris: What do you suppose the odds are that this meeting is a trap?

Hawke: Well, considering that it's almost lunchtime and that we haven't had someone attempt to kill us today I'd say there's a fifty-fifty chance of us getting jumped in the tavern.

Fenris: Wonderful.

D: That's awful. Reminds me of when my little brother burned the paper that had my SimCity 4 code.

My gaming computer is in the living room. So when love scenes come up and my parents are home I just fake an immature giggle to hide my blushing. xD As opposed to A Dance with Rogues, where I hide my face and zoom through sex scenes...

I don't worry about romancing Fenris in front of my DH, he doesn't mind.  We'll discuss which romance we liked better and why.  Tough with this game, he didn't like any of them.    My DH doesn't love Fenris but he likes him more than Anders.

I love both the Sims 2 and the Sims 3.  I have no problems running TS3 but I have a big powerful computer:wub:   So not many games give me trouble...at least yet.  There is something strange about the faces in TS3.  I can't put on my finger on it but creating a Sim takes me longer.   You can't go wrong with either. But again I really love both games so I'm biased.

Fortunately, my computer is in our office and I've usually got the room to myself .  So, I don't have an issue with my husband and Fenris.  Besides, I told my husband that Fenris is a lot like him, and romancing Fenris is really like romancing him.  So James doesn't mind so much.  Now Alistair...we don't go there.:pinched:

I can only speak for myself, but I think it's because Fenris is just like my husband.  Like Fenris, we met under false pretenses, he spends most of his time alone in his man cave, drinks to excess, apologizes for his frequent emotional outbursts, doesn't approve of my friends or family, won't shut up about his boss, hates every gift I ever get him, denies me sex for years at a time, and can't read.

@upsetting...my husband and I have moved into act 3 on the whole conjugal thing (thank the maker!), but we both had serious trust issues, my husband has had anger issues, and can sometimes be an arrogant axx. It's amazing how that changed when I refused to be intimidated and told him to stop behaving like a two year old (that started act 2). The best parts of Fenris are really what is similar. His honesty, integrity, and tenderness are what gets me every time. I will tell you, the best part of act three is falling in love all over again.

Does he laugh at all your horrible jokes at least?  I thought that was so sweet and kawaii of him.  Also when he came to comfort me after my mother's death, even though he had dumped me and left me out in the cold uguuu~ <3

Yeah but in this really forced fake-sounding laugh.

I told him he needs to clean the corpses out of his room or we're getting a divorce.

Oh no, well I'm sure if you wait patiently for three years, you'll understand why he has to do all these things to you.

Because you always understood, right?

If he really wants the corpse, you could get a good taxidermist. Then it won't smell and you can practice your sword, staff, dagger, or archery. That's called compromise.

I personally think the corpses are fake dolls, there to intimidate any hunters that dare to go in, and as a warning to Danarius as well. Why? Because wouldn't the corpses have decomposed at some point? I mean, come on. They've been there for _years_.

Hawke: Fenris, about those corpses laying around your mansion.

Fenris: Do they bother you? Hold on a second. (yells out into the hallway) Take a break everyone! (The corpses stand up and shuffle out)

Hawke: You raised the dead?

Fenris: What? No, I just hired the Kirkwall Actor's Guild to stand in for the undead. Keeps away the tax collectors.

Hawke: Couldn't you just use that money to pay the tax collectors?

Fenris: I find this way to be much more entertaining.

So...anyone having a moment of "now what does THIS mean for my canon Hawke(s)?" after the Legacy announcement? (Not just in how it relates to potential impact on companion relationships *cough*)?

It comes out RIGHT before finals, so it may not be all bad that I go into forum blackout at about that time until I can get it in early August.

It's going to be a long 3.5 weeks. *sigh*

ETA: *rofl* @ Doc

My B-day is next week and I was planning on taking vacation the last week of July to celebrate. So I'm hyped. According to the forum comments, Bioware has "fixed it" to account for siblings and dead NPC's. Who knows what that means.
