So Legacy is giving us more of Hawke's backstory. From what the trailer gives us it looks like Hawke's family has fueled some sort of ancient Frozen Throne-esque prision for thousands of years. I can just see the party banter now:

Hawke: So my blood holds the key to maintaing this magical prison. Wonderful.

Fenris: (coughs)

Hawke: Don't you say a word.

Fenris: I simply had something in my throat.

Hawke: Sure you did.

I'll have to watch that. I've been wondering what the teaser info for this means for our various versions of our various Hawkes and what that might mean, particularly in this context. *grin Doc*  The Blood of the Hawke has some pretty scary implications.

If the Wardens want my Hawke's blood to fuel their prison my first instinct is to say, "I gave at the office."  If the Hawke bloodline is so important, then won't Stroud jump at the chance to recruit your sibling?   Whatever the case I hope that it is worth the wait.

Yeah...I haven't decided if I want to start a fresh PT for Legacy 'testing (or return to the warrior PT Sarcasta-Hawke) or just throw Aniya in there and see what happens. (As sad as it is, I want to know what I'm getting into before I start revising head canon. :) )

I certainly won't wait to generate the Amell DAO save. Not waitin' that long to play Legacy.

And thanks for the prompt, Tankgirly - I think I see 2 or 3 ideas in there already.

Fenris could be in Legacy. Lovely!

I think all the companions are available as long as they live at the import point.  They'd better be; I saw Anders (and Varric, but I expect to see him) in that trailer! ;)

I kid - given that GE is being cheeky and responding quickly, I'm guessing we haven't heard the last of Dat Voice/Dat Elf. :D (By the way, that link won't work for me, at least in Chrome. May have to try it in IE later.)

I have yet to do the Amell PT.  My mage, like most of my DAO characters was an elf.  I just loved playing the elves.  Perhaps this partially explains my facination with Fenris.  My elf wardens certainly would have picked him as their LI!  Posted Image

Any of my wardens but Anaril would've went for Fenris, and that's just because Anaril's straight.

(Didn't stop me from writing Fenris/Anaril crack for a meme.)

And now I've just finished my latest playthrough with Zack, and yes, he Friendmanced Fenris. Despite being a blood mage. He became the Viscount for laughs - it's been a while since a blood mage has been in a position of power, after all...  (Not counting the Imperium)

A bloodmage Viscount, I would love to see Cassandra's reaction to first hearing that news.

Cassandra: Dwarf if you are lying about this I'll see you flogged! It does though explain why she abandoned her position before our arrival.

Weeell, I really shouldn't since I'm underage, but...what the hell! -stealz-

Fireworks
First of Bloomingtide, Summerday (The Summer Solstice)

Fenris watched from his window has the explosions outside continued. The noises made him jumpy, though the way they exploded into different colors and shapes in the dark sky interested him.
His door burst open, and he turned to see Faline rush in, her hair down and wearing a plain dress. She skidded to a halt, and smiled at him with big blue eyes.

"Fenris! Aren't they absolutely lovely?" she said breathlessly, rushing to the window.
"What are they?" he asked.
She grinned at him. "Fireworks, of course! I've never set any myself...most Chantries ban them since they use lyrium to explode, but luckily the rules here are more relaxed." she smiled dreamily. "In Lothering, father would travel all the way to Denerim and buy them there from some dwarven smugglers."
"All for some explosions?" Fenris asked with a frown.
"They're to celebrate Summerday! The beginning of summer!" Faline grinned. "My favorite season! Mostly because my birthday is the eighth of Solace, but..." she looked sheepish. "Will you come outside and watch them with us? Everyone's here...Varric, Isabela, Anders, Merrill...even Sebastian!"
"If you insist," the warrior said, though part of himself felt eager to see these fireworks up close.
She said her birthday is the eighth of Solace... he glanced at the calender she'd bought him. He'd have to mark that down later.

Stream
The fifteenth of Justinian
Fenris lazed on the bank, reading the book Faline had given him carefully, trying to process every word. Faline stared out at the river, trailing her eyes down to wear it narrowed to the stream they were next to. She sighed loudly. He ignored her. Annoyed, she sighed again. Annoyed, he ignored her again. She looked at him very plainly and sighed dramatically, adding a hand-wave and a faint.

Letting out a sigh of his own, Fenris glared at her. "Yes?"
"This isn't exciting enough." she pouted.
"When we fight bandits and dragons, you whine and complain and beg for peace. When we have peace, you want excitement." he shook his head disbelievingly. "There is just no pleasing you, is there woman?"
"Whatever." She pouted. He tried to turn back to his book, but seconds later, she took it from him, elegantly marking his place with a leaf and dropping it on the bank.

"What was that for?" he asked indignantly.
"We're going swimming." she said.
"But I can't swim."
"I'll teach you! Just like I taught you how to read!" she smiled brightly
"This is going to be embarrassing..." Fenris muttered as he stood up.

"Yeah well, at least we're alone, yeah?" she snaked close to him, grinning in a feline manner. He quirked an eyebrow, but before he could say anything, she shoved him into the water.
Fenris stood up, sputtering and spitting out water. He glared at Faline, who just laughed. He launched forward and grabbed her ankles, pulling her into the water with him viciously.

When she surfaced, she grinned at him, giggling. He couldn't help but smile back.

>D

@ Deliously-Demonic

I loved your stories. I especially enjoyed the fireworks. I find it amusing how people complain about the three year seperation and yet we seem to focus on that time the most. For me it's like when I scoop a bowl of ice cream and wait until it has melted just so before eating it. The wait is part of the fun.

Meh. I love the 3 years seperation. Reminds me of the good ol' days when I was a Dragon Ball Z fanatic, dreaming about Bulma and Vegeta's three year romance that we never saw...
Let people b!tch, I say. Haters gonna hate. -shrug-

...I'm...I'm not alone.
I'M NOT ALONE! :o
My family thinks I'm insane for WAITING to eat my ice cream. BUT YOU UNDERSTAND, NYA?! When it melts just so...it's perfect.

Grey Warden Prision

Hawke: So let me get this straight. You need my blood to fight off you're ancient evil-thing.

Warden: Well the blood of a Hawke, it doesn't have to be you.

Hawke: You do realize that my brother is a Hawke, and a Warden. Couldn't he give you a little blood?

Fenris: It doesn't work that way. Blood magic is an all or nothing affair. There's no way that a vial of blood is going to power a warding that strong.

Hawke: How are you the expert on blood magic?

Fenris: When you serve a magister you pick up a few things.

It's such a shame he doesn't have ability to do magic at all, from what he learned, he could be such a good arcane warrior.

So, uhm. This has probably been a discussion before, but I haven't caught it so I'm going to ask for some advice anyway.

Friendship is easy enough, but I'm not entirely sure what to make of Fenris' relationship with Hawke on the rivalry path. I know that he, despite their differences, respects Hawke. To me, he seems more guarded - that he doesn't want to show any weaknesses, that he really wants Hawke to respect him the way he respects her/him and thus gets angry at receiving any gifts because he sees them as signs of pity or perhaps subtle insults. What do you think?

well this seems to be the best spot to ask about Fenris:P Doin a second good mage supporting character which is a mage and trying get all companions to friends(exept carver he is goin rival for achievment:lol: a bit of an *** anyway) so i dont have to kill any of them at the end or they leave or something as bad. Is still on act one but has got up the ones that is needed for the moment to friendly exept Mr I-hate-all-mages-but-i-still-respect-you-Hawke-and-thanks-for-helping-me Fenris.
Dont want to do anything templar supporting exacly which would mean leaving Fenris in his mansion so he dont get cranky but doin so also means not geting any approval points and quests that could give him bonus is not many (more slavers quests please!) almost just with him Denzig or what the slavers name is.

So any good spots with chats that give big bonuses? dont think his 2 gifts give enough points:?

and making him rival maybe ends badly

p.s not romancing him im sticking with my blondie
