No it's not.  I was hoping to hear about some of the romance lines.  I haven't played yet.  I will today.  My Fenris romance will wait then (since there seems to be no lines about their romance).

I will say that even though Fenris didn't have any romance-specific lines, he had some fantastic dialogue/party banter. I thought he was well worth bringing, personally.

I thought the same, Autumnyte.  I enjoyed the banter he had with Varric.  Thought it was rad.

I wish a dev would pop in and just give a yes or no about Fenris romance lines. I have a second character I can take through Legacy with him and I want to make sure I have the right party to get that dialogue out of him if it exists.

This DLC seems like it is meant to be played with your sibling, Anders, and Varric to get the most out of it. I wonder if that means future DLC will focus more on other characters. I would love it if they made something relevant to Fenris, maybe even let us get a glimpse of Tevinter.

I didn't get this! I got Anders talking to my Hawke. >:( Fenris is the LI. I was angry. I took Fenris, Varris and Anders with me.

:(

I was end game, varric, fenris and aveline. My fenris is 'rivalmance' and varric and aveline were maxxed friendship.

I haven't heard any type of banter toward our relationship. The only thing that tells you everything is 'cool' really is the red wristband. I am just assuming this is because they didn't want to implement different types of Fenris reactions to stuff since he is shaky over that three year gap so when you're playing it's a bit random but, still... A couple of lines would have been nice.

Can anyone tell me what the other LIs said in Legacy?

Maybe this just means there will be another DLC where Fenris is heavily featured this time. ;) Think positive peeps.

I wish they were real. I have to admit that I was disappointed; I liked the DLC, but it would have been nice to have some acknowledgement that my Hawke stuck it out for three years and finally got his man back.

I'm starting to think it's a bug. Considering how Anders, Isabella, Merrill and even Sebastian (imagine that) have lines relating to romance status, I find it weird no one's been able to get anything out of Fenris.

First Zevran now Fenris, why must our hot elf boys have romance glitches?
Anyone know how to go diving for audio files? That would be one way of finding out if they're there and just not triggering.

SPOILERS

Personally, I suspect that it isn't a glitch. I think, because of the way the Fenris romance arc plays out, it would have been difficult to write lines that make sense at every point along the continuum of Fenris/Hawke's relationship. Take, for example, when you meet Zevran and Fenris pulls the jealousy card. If that triggers during the three-year break, it doesn't make a whole lot of sense. Likewise, some of the party banters about your romance.

So, I suppose I can understand why it was left out, even though it's disappointing.

My current peeve is that they couldn't include any Fenris romance stuff, but they managed to get in a Fenris/Isabela banter. Nothing against that pairing, but it kind of drove home the lack of Fenris/Hawke stuff even more.

They seemed to have no problem recognizing different relationship states for other characters though. If you romanced Sebastian and you're using an endgame save, there's a reference to the wedding. And of course, all of the other relationship conditions are recognized--dead/Warden/other sibling, for instance. And at other points in the game, Fenris' dialogue changes based on whether you've moved on and if so, with who.

In particular, it seemed strange that Anders should be the one to talk with me after the "Malcolm's Will" quest. I just had this huge reveal about my father--including that he was hoping I wasn't a mage, oops!--and I don't even get the awkward attempt at sympathy I got from my boyfriend after "All That Remains"?

If there had been more reactive dialogue from Fenris in general, I might have felt better, but Fenris seemed oddly unresponsive in places I would have expected a reaction from him, especially toward the end. Corypheus looks at my party and says, "you're human". Yeah, except for the short, stocky guy with the chest beard and the shortish, heavily-armed guy with the pointy ears. Even if I wasn't playing a mage Hawke, shouldnt Corypheus have assumed Fenris was my slave? And then when Corypheus says he's a Tevinter Magister and we should all kneel to him, Fenris has absolutely no reaction? Even more than the lack of romance-specific dialogue, that just felt off to me.

The more I think about it, the more I have to agree. Particularly as more details come to light about the other companions (such as Sebastian) and what was included.

It's a bummer, because I really loved this DLC otherwise. They did so much with character development and dialogue, etc., I have to wonder why Fenris got shafted.

Just finished Legacy!! I was a little bummed cause I was hoping for some Fenris romance action, and later heard Anders got plenty of alludes to his romance but whateverr, still fun.

Oh, then I did it right, then. I've done all my DAII save files and bring both my siblings in, plus Varric and Anders.

Now I wonder why no one even mentioned Architect.....

On the subject of romance dialogue, or lack there of, Fenris isn't exactly the kind of person who goes around talking about how much he loves Hawke and how he's in a relationship with her. He loves Hawke, and he shows Hawke that he cares about her, but it takes a fair bit of coaxing from other members in the party to even talk about his relationship with others in the party (see Varric's 'sweeping' discussion)

I agree with this also.

On the subject of Legacy and that Malcolm conversation, I did a new playthrough with my mage Hawke, Marian.  Carver died in the Deep Roads during this one so she stook a fully-rivalmanced Fenris, Varric and Aveline as her party.  After I completed Malcolm's Will, Fenris did speak to her a little which was very nice.  This was also a post-game save.  :o

Also, After you meet Larius, if you click on Fenris, he does say this.  "So your blood is special, Hawke.  Why am I not surprised."  While I'm not sure it's romance specific , my Hawke took it that way and the tone was one of warmth and not derision and annoyance.  Those are the kind of ambiguous remarks I can see Fenris making.  I appreciate that subtlety and that it can be interpreted in many different ways.

Okay back to lurking for me. ^_^  *lurking shroud on*

I do agree with this to some extent. For example, I don't see Fenris running around calling Hawke 'cute' like Anders did, but I still think the writers could have worked in a small acknowledgement while having it be in-character. Even if it was something as minor as having another companion tease Fenris about the relationship.

Don't mean to put an overly negative point on it because I loved Legacy. To be honest, I was less bothered until I heard all of the banter with all the other romanced companions, and now I do feel like the Fenris romance got slighted somewhat. Oh well.

Yeah Fenris isn't the type to shout his love from the roof tops but his LI statments are things like "I am yours" and "I enjoy following you" and Merrill picks up on his affection for Hawke as early as act 2 (I totally thought Varric's Banter starting with him saying Fenris is lucky was going to be about Hawke *lol sob*)

It's more the feeling of being left out because, yeah Legacy was really good DLC.

I definitely agree that Fenris isn't going to be doing the Thedas equivalent of standing in the rain holding up a boom box playing Peter Gabriel. But other party members do reference the romance, and it would have been nice to have a line or two to that effect. Same with the "Malcolm's Will" quest; Fenris' awkward attempt to offer comfort after Leandra's murder is one of the sweetest moments in the main campaign. I was kind of expecting something similar, and having Anders be the only party member to acknowledge the moment was a bit disappointing.

And yeah, after Anders attacked me, I wanted Fenris to start glowing blue at him.

*pulls all her hair out and cries*

I just wanted something more then "Rawr no one attacks hawke and lives! *froth*"

For all I know, and I'm going to test it on one of my Andersmance playthroughs (there's only two @_@) by not bringing Anders and bringing Fenris instead. if he does it then, then I'm offically throwing bricks at Gaider's house till he gives us.. SOMETHING. srsly.

SPOILERS

I'll save you the agony, because I already tried the same thing. Twice. The Fenris lines I thought might potentially be LI-related aren't.

1. "They won't get a chance to try again" (paraphrase)
2. Anders accusing Fenris of "Running from Danarius straight to Hawke"
3. "It seems your blood is special, Hawke. Why am I not surprised?"

Those lines all popped up with a non-romanced Fenris too. :? And, whoops, I brought Isabela along in the party and she and Fenris talk about having sex. THAT the writers worked in. At which point I did this

Their banter goes something like this:

Isabela: So, when we get back, you want to...
Fenris: Please! Not in front of everyone!
Isabela: Oh, how cute!  He blushes, too!

It's pretty adorable.

Looking at the talk table, there is at least one reference to the Fenris romance.

Hawke: Varric. I've heard... stories of a personal nature being spread around town.
Varric: You're the Champion of Kirkwall. People pay attention to everything you do. And everyone.
Varric: I haven't told anyone about you and that angsty Tevinter elf. Try looking closer to home for that intelligence leak.

However everyone is suppose to get that banter, and the last line changes based on who is the love interest. But I couldn't get it to trigger though, and I haven't seen anyone say they got any version of this banter.

Yep, that's the one. If the writers had included even a vague nod to the Hawke/Fenris romance, I would have found it adorable too. As it stood, my Anders-romancing Hawke sure didn't give a damn, but it managed to reach across playthroughs and kick my Fenris-romancing Hawke in the nuts.
