Thanks for clarifying and no offense taken at all. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't coming across as Grumpy McGrumpypants, because on the whole I'm actually quite pleased with the DLC.

I was listening to the card play banter and had a thought...

At the Hanged Man...

Fenris: Ah, gave up playing Wicked Grace with Hawke and Isabella?

Varric: That was a loser's bet I should have seen coming. Hawke is cutthroat and Isabella cheats. I'm just going to let them play each other and hope it doesn't come to bloodshed when Hawke catches her.

Fenris: (laughs) Probably a wise plan. My money's on Hawke.

Varric: You're on, but I think I just lost again.

Later...still at the Hanged Man...

There are games of both Diamondback and Wicked Grace going on. Suddenly, there's the sound of a knife sinking into a tabletop, and Isabella leaps off the bench with a very creative curse.

Isabella: What's that about? You almost got my hand!

Aniya (while giving Isabella a healthy dose of the Eyebrow and holding up a card with a stab mark throiugh the middle): Here's two coppers worth of free advice, Isabella. Don't try to cheat against someone who's fast enough to catch you, get the card, and miss your hand. (She winks.) Another hand? No cheating this time?

Isabella (taking a shot of whiskey) Sure, but no more trying to spear my hand. (winks back)

Varric sighs and flips Fenris 5 sovereigns.

Im currently doing my first Lgacy play through with Fenris/Carver/Varric in post-act save. There is no indications that Fenris and Hawke are together. So the romances are not transferred to Legacy? And what is LI Banter you guys talking about?


(hmmm, Fenris is still in my profile. Strange. Not my Caim Hawke. Must be a bug)

LI = love interest....Supposedly their is a bug with Fenris's romance banter but I'm not sure if that has been confirmed by a game dev or if/when they will patch it if is.

Apparently there are dialogues indicating their relationships. If you traced a few pages back, some of our talented followers actually digged them out from the dlg files. Luke said they will look into it. Let's really hope they will fix it this time.

Gosh, they haven't even fixed the Zevran bug in DAII!

I don't think so. Perhaps to them those are not priority. They did fixed teh Auto attack bug, I noticed.

Good to know that there is indeed some LI-talk from Fenris and they are looking at it. Have been wondering that myself   =)

Eep, lol don't say that, you'll only encourage them to keep Effing around with the banter, the thought of profiting from everyone buying new games for their PC's... money to be made indeed. Akthough I agree with you, the more mods I see the more I want a PC version.some, like the armour mod, and the wedding mod for origins. So well done, why bioware doesn't steal these people and pay them is beyond me... well, except that right now their doing it for free so why pay them.

Always loved their cosplay. I am glad they won.

So did another Legacy playthrough with Sebastian/Bethany/Fenris. It was still a very quiet playthrough. Most of the banters happen toward the beginning before you get to the prison area. I got a couple of the banters in the prison part but not many.

Of course still no LI banter, but I got the two Tevinter Magister banters. Fenris cracks me up with his rendition of the Tevinter chantry story.

You know all the DLC did was reinforce my belief that Fenris really doesn't hate mages, but does hate magisters and magic. Him and Carver have some good banters about it too. I absolutely love his dialogue with Anders as well during the cutscene at the end.

That where I get most of my banters, then only a couple afterwards.  Actually I get most of them in one particular doorway.  What triggers the banters in the DLC.  Does anyone know?

I personally hope the next DLC has more Fenris and less Anders. Anders gets enough attention as it is in the original game, and this game just gave him more. Fenris is far more interesting IMO, and he just gets shoved in the background all the time. It's a shame.

What's strange to me is Cory is supposed to be a Tevinter magister, it would be a perfect chance to give Fenris a larger story.  One that is more connect to the main story.  But he seems to fade away to Anders and Varric and then the siblings.  It's too bad especially since his romance banter appears to be bugged too.

So, I'm a hopeless fangirl and most of the time when I listen to my mp3 player I'm listening intently for songs that are applicable to Fenris.  Came across this one and felt like sharing it.  Really makes a nice connection to the nature of the relationship no matter which romance path you took.

I am on a roll today.  I should really just make a fanmix and have done with it.  Collecting these is fun.

That's on my agenda too; I rewrote the prologue to my head!canon fanfic last night (thank you Legacy), and I want more accompanying, appropriate music. Someone on here (I think it was Arquen?) did this not too long ago, and it got me considering the mix then, but I haven't had time to put it together (darn school!)

The funny thing is this makes me want to replay and adjust the canon playthrough to fit with the canon Warden (thanks to Legacy implications), and to redo some other NPC friendships/rivalries in Act 1 and 2 (and, of course, revisit my favorite scenes of the Fenris Friendmance ). I've also come up with a much more extensive backstory for Hawke that I hadn't even touched before. 

What do you guys think? I like the backstory, but it doesn't get into Kirkwall events until a few chapters in. Does anyone else do this, or am I just a nut for detail?

I haven't even written any fan fiction and I have 1,500 word document on my computer just mapping out backstory and personality traits for my Hawke.  Makes the gameplay more immersive for me, I guess.  So no, it's not just you.  And I haven't even played Legacy yet...

Kidding aside I too have restarted a playtrough to better match the info we get in Legacy, I have to replay Awakenings too just to see if I can treat the architect differently. Maybe see what leaving him alive will do.

Ack, hints of spoilers, but I don't care because this makes me want to play it even more.  I knew the Architect was too interesting to kill, I just knew it.  Damn that I'm going through Origins and Awakening all over again at the moment, it's gonna be a while.

Lol, sorry, I thought we were all spoiled out by now.  I will say nothing more on the matter. I am trying to play through Origins again cause a prompt for a fic gave me the idea of playing though City Elf origin as Leto Tabris, who after all the blight stuff gets kidnapped by Danarius and becomes Fenris. I thought if I am going to write it I should play it first so the charcter is more real, but playing through again is tough, some of the quests feel so long. It may be because this is play though one million. gads.

I know, right? Everytime Gnas left a comment, I usually spend ages staring at all the Doctor Whos
