Heh... frolic... oh and "you wonder why nobody takes you seriously".. lol.

To chime in again on the anti-hero thing. Withering Heights is one of my favorite books. So is crime and Punishment and Hamlet. I always appreciate flawed characters and especially anti-hero. I think that more than anything else is what drew me in so deeply into Dragon Age. Fenris is just bonus because he is a perfect example of the type of character I love. That and his personality and story and how he constantly challenges the status quo of "freedom for all mages is just!"

He really makes you pause and think if your willing to listen. Im always willing to at least listen to an opposite view even if I don't share it.

Ah, the smell of a pick-up frolic in the morning/noon/afternoon/evening/night makes the day much more entertaining.

Lol... the sheer fact that Fenris is holding hands with 2 bloodmages in that pic boggles my mind. He is probably 2 seconds from going Lyrium ghost on their ass.

Still the face is priceless. Silly elves and their silly frolicking.

The Prompt Train just keeps on rolling.

Starkhaven

The Imperial Highway, Free Marches

Fenris: So what's your plan?

Sebastian: For what?

Fenris: Retaking Starkhaven.

Sebastian: I just thought I'd go there and the people would accept me as heir to the throne.

Fenris: The people could care less about who's in power, unless this usurper of yours is a tyrant you have little chance of reclaiming your title and marrying your Viscountess.

Sebastian: Then what do you suggest I do?

Fenris: We could use an army.

Sebastian: I want to take Starkhaven not destroy it!

Fenris: Is there anywhere near Starkhaven that could be made an example of? When was still in the service of my old master in the Seheron campaign we would use our legion's battle mages to sink towns into the earth. It was a very persuasive tactic.

Sebastian: Maker's Breath man! I can't just go around destroying towns!

Varric: Perhaps you can lead a sermon then? Put all of that time spent as a Choir Boy to good use, all you'd have to do then is retake the throne while everyone's asleep.

Sebastian: Very funny. (sighs) I wish Hawke were here she'd just charge in and everything would work out.

Varric: Well Mrs. Choir Boy is currently busy running Kirkwall and I'm busy getting a first hand account of what happens when Starkhaven's lost prince returns.

Fenris: At this rate, Isabela will have left for Lloymeryn before I get back.

Varric: There's an idea! We could have the Rivaini invade Starkhaven! Sea dogs looting and pillaging! The people afraid to leave their homes! When suddenly Prince Vael, returning from adventures with the Champion of Kirkwall returns to his home to vanquish the pirate menace! The people will beg you to rule after you save them.

Sebastian: Deceiving my people is no way to rule them, if the Maker is willing he will guide me down the right path.

Fenris: Let's hope so.

Lol'd. Growling Fenris. I can feel Anders is somewhere outside the frame, laughing his socks off with Issie. :o

Actually Seb left his mentally incompetent cousin or something to rule Starkhaven. He even says he regrets leaving them to such an inept ruler.

The thought of Fenris as a military tactician makes me lol though. He probably doesn't know many diplomatic tactics. "Well in Tevinter the mages just sort of killed everyone."

LOL! I love Fenris' expression. He does not want to be there. BUT inside he's all... :o

I am dead tired. Hard night at work last night, but then I came home and started thinking about Fenris again.

I've started another playthrough.... yes ANOTHER. I can't help myself. Plus I'm still waiting for the Legacy banter to be fixed (if that EVER happens). Still, I was going to friend romance Fenris again, but then I got to thinking of doing a rivalmance instead. I find I can't choose between the two anymore. I seem to have grown attached to the rivalmance even though I disliked it at first.

So yeah we've gone through this before, but I just can't decide, LOL.

I've finally got my new(est) playthrough of Angel at act 3 just past when I've talked with all the friends and Anders has his sexy black robes and Fenris is MIIIIIIIINNNNNE *smoochies* and.. now I want Legacy fixed so I can get the BANTER and and and *whine*

Also, some how I managed to get Merrill to show up at my house even though I never once flirted with her and I had to be a jerk instead of patting her on the head and being all "Its k sweetie, I still <3 you" because when I did that she was all "KISS ME IN MY NO NO SPOT HAWKE OMG *swoon*" <_<

I wonder if it will ever be fixed.  I have one romanced Fenris Legacy playthrough waiting (trying saying that fast ).  I may try another playthrough too.  I have a half played mage but I really don't like being a mage so he (or was it she) was abandoned.:(  I might a rogue this time, they have some neat moves.

You didn't like mage?! THE blasphemy of this! I mean.. I don't even... LOL. Jk Jk.

Honestly, I love playing mage. I set my mage up first with lightning and lightning storm. Then I branch into the elements tree with Fire and Ice. I mix that up with some Force mage skills later on and voila! I have the perfect mage killing machine. I put points into Magic and Willpower. Also, I make sure I put some into Fortitude for HP. My mages are quite deadly. I absolutely love playing one. Putting an attack speed rune or buff on a staff is excellent as well -- punching R as fast as you can and seeing auto attack rip apart your enemies never gets old.

I'm hoping my Fenris romance isn't bugged out. I got the jealous line last night in Zev's Murder of Crow's quest, so I hope Anna Hawke can still end up with her elf.

I am pretty sure if that dialogue triggers it means Fenris' romance is still active. However, I have heard of bugs or flirting or triggering other romances overriding it or bugging it out.

As long as you got through Act 2 without sleeping with anyone else and no flirtations that would trigger other romances you should be fine.

Yeah, I did. But I read on the wiki that if you take the line that says, "So you're ending it?" or whatever, that the romance won't finish, though other triggers will be there. I'm hoping it's wrong or it's not consistent.

Either way, I'll be replaying Anna since I don't like Templar Carver. But it would be nice to see the end of the romance.

No.. I've done the "so your ending it?" multiple times. As long as you didn't pick the heartbreak "It didn't mean anything" option you should still be fine.

I hope you're right. Anna's a bit head over heels for her elf warrior.

As are we all.. As are we all... muahaha.

Found this screenshot and it summed up my mage playthrough when I took Fenris to the Fade. He ONE shotted my mage. Oh the poor girl. She sploded' and I was like "dammit Fenris your too powerful!" I had to reload and GTF away from him first thing before he charged me and one shotted me again.

I always take Fenris to the fade. Mostly because I just love the after conversation with him. I also think he learns something from going there, and is better for it. He says "I guess I'm not as strong as I thought..." Such a good scene even on rival where he is like "I hope the boy doesn't regret the kindness you've shown him."

As for legacy since I didn't see that post... Yeah basically the romance dialogue does not trigger for Fenris. He does not acknowledge the romance and in some cases flirts with Isabela and completely ignores that the romance is active or completed.

They are "looking into it," but who knows if or when there will be a fix. Even Varric does not give his line about the romance. Still, Legacy is worth playing but save a Fenmance for a later date so you can at least get the banters with your Hawke. That's what most of us are doing I think.

Hawke and Fenris' Bogus Journey

Me: Oh Fenris betrayed me, well that fight against Isabela wasn't that bad

Fenris one shots me

Me: Crap. (reloads)

Fenris attacks me again,

Me: Ha ha! I am a force mage! Fear my telekinetic fury!

Gets one shotted again

Me: I'm going to have to set the game to Casual aren't I?

I, uh... never really have an issue taking Fenris down in the Fade.
