Omg, I miss all the fun. Crazy trolls/ slightly delusionalrabidfans always come out to play when I am on a six hour roadtrip. My luck sucks.

My fave Hawke is my "magister" Hawke. He told Fen he was seeking nothing but that was a lie, he wants lots and lots of power, and a tatooed elf waiting for him at home... in bed. Which Fen is totes okay with, without bloodmagic thankyou cause my Hawke thinks only weak mages umph their power with blood. Nice is not a word I would use to describe him, insane maybe.

Meezy Alexy: Thank you ever so, I am actually running out of MHawke/Fen fics, and since they're my otp it makes for a rather sad shipper.

What point in act one do you think Fen should be recruited, I usually nab him right after Aveline but I wanted to wait this time, I am a M!ageHawke, and who should I bring with me on his quest to get the most dialogue. Wil I get more friendship points by using the flirt option, the diplomatic or sarcastic. Heeelllppp me. Please.

It's funny I said to myself on my last playthrough I would wait to get Fenris. B) I wanted him to be the last companion I picked up just to see if the other NPCs said anything or just to see what it felt like.  So I went and got Aveline and then.... I picked up Fenris. :pinched:  I just could resist.:P  I love that intro.  So I don't have the willpower to resist Fenris for very long.

I agree completely Heiden. In the rivalmance I send him away with the diplomatic "at least think about what I've said..." line. He walks away and kind of looks down/back and says "As you wish..." and I fangirl out completely at my computer.

Plus, everyone is changing their icons. So I made a Fenris one out of one of my favorite screenshots. Muahaha.

Also I was browsing the Tumblr (bad idea). So much Fenris hate on there lately. I got a bit sad. Haters gonna hate I guess, but sometimes I just *facepalm* at people. This happens in real life as well. Way more than it probably should. *shrug*

I can't resist getting Fenris early on either. My first playthrough my boyfriend was like.. "don't forget to check your desk.. I think you will like the surprise quest there." I was like.. "meh... okay..." Then later playthroughs I thought you couldn't pick up the quest until you had gotten Anders and Aveline. Then later I found out you can pick Fenris up first thing after Aveline. I don't think I've ever had bait and switch pop before that though. He is like my first companion now. I take him with me to my Hawke cellar family quest. I find it hilarious to think about what is going through his head.

"I just met this human and here I am being led into a basement for some personal family affair. What have I signed up for?"

I blame the confessions... I wouldn't be as bothered if people didn't act like it made them special that they didn't care for him. Err big whoop guys, he's been a polarising character... like most of the DA2 LIs really
I really want naked Fenris week to start or something XD

PFFFFT lol, I'm so doing this next time, just to imagine Fenris' bafflement, but hey, he gets to kill slavers so there's a plus.

I feel like such an enabler getting a couple more people into Coffee, Black, mwahahaha XD

Actually, you don't even have to pick up Aveline.  All you need to do is go talk to Varric in the Hanged Man, and then the letter will be there on the desk to go talk to Anso.  That's the trigger. XD

I figured as much, but I tend to map hop in some kind of sequential order that mostly makes sense to only me. I hardly ever go to the hanged man first. I will have to try this. LOL, Fenris, Carver/Beth, Varric party FTW.

Hawke: "note to self: Just got wind of deep roads expedtion. Talked to some dwarf named Varric. Went home, found letter about some job. Ended up meeting this very unique elf person. Need to go talk to Aveline, but thinking I might keep this elf close at hand. He is a fantastic warrior and can punch people's hearts out of their chest. Plus he said he was at my disposal. How can I refuse an offer like that!?"

Kind of funny if he is your first pick up companion though... on his quest you would only have Varric and your sibling. Hmmmm.

That's awesome. It's times like this I wish I played PC. :) (And I'm supressing yet more squee at the idea of Fenris saying "as you wish...")

Haha, that's on my short list of scenes to write once I get the prologue posted in its entirety. Soon, I hope. :)

Hahaha! Indeed! Aniya is also pretty much smacking herself mentally at this point for finding Fenris as attractive as she does. Completely inappropriate and unprofessional as a merc, but there ya go. :)

Oh boy doing Birthright after getting Fenris

Fenris: You don't mind involving me in your family's affairs?

Hawke: Not at all. Besides, taking down a bunch of slavers will be easy with that magical fisting thing you do.

Fenris: About that I can't do that all the time.

Hawke: What?

Fenris: I mean I punched through someone yesterday so it's going to be a while before I can do it again.

Hawke: So what can you do?

Fenris: I've got a big sword.

Hawke: My brother's got a big sword.

Fenris: I can..use an abillity that sucks up most of my stamina and increases my defense in a small but measurable way.

Hawke: On second thought I think I'll just take Varric with me

Fenris: Very well.

Especially when your in the vault. It's like... *awkward* moment as Hawke and Carver talk about their family's will and their Amnell heritage. LOL, great now my brain is thinking of plot bunnies....

Fenris: As you said there were slavers to be killed.

Hawke: See, I didn't lie, did I?

Fenris: You did fail to mention how you are of a noble house. Amnell is it? A mage with noble blood. Perfect.

Hawke: Now, now.. you aren't going to start spouting magisters this and doom and gloom again are you? I thought we were past the whole 'I'm watching you mage!' thing.

Fenris: Well, in Tevinter....

Hawke: *cuts him off* Oh Andraste's burning hair! Tevinter this.. Tevinter that... I'm not nobility you know. I'm from Ferelden. I'm not going to spontaneously start wanting to seek power! I'm doing this for my mother if you care to know... she's the one who wants to find this will since my sleaze of an uncle left us high and dry in lowtown. In FACT, aren't YOU the one living in high-town right now?

Fenris: I wouldn't call it living. Staying in a borrowed mansion for now is more correct.

Carver: I'm doing this because she somehow convinced me to come down here for some stupid will. I don't even know why she needed to bring you. I've got a greatsword.

Hawke: But you can't do that fisting thing this guy can. Besides Fenris said he was at my disposal! I can use another warrior. You know one that knows what he's doing...

Carver: Oh, very funny, sister. Besides your new friend might be reconsidering his offer. Believe me my sister takes advantage... (gets cut off as Hawke jabs him in the ribs) ... Ow. It's the truth though. Your not even paying these people to help you.

Hawke: He said he owed me! He offered to help...

Fenris: This is clearly a personal affair, but for whatever reason you asked me to come along. I do owe you a debt so I am here.

Hawke: See, look! We can get along just fine, Fenris! Kill a few slavers, recover a few papers, make mother happy, shut Carver up... things are going well!

Fenris: That remains to be seen...

In rivalmance I'm all "DONT YOU WALK AWAY FROM ME!" *huff*, because, they're arguing, and its awesome. I'm almost never diplomatic with my Angel, she's sarcastic, so when I rival him with her he's all "Right, laugh it up" (and he does indeed say that in his act 3 quest ;p) Besides he always responds SO WELL to a scarcastic hawke. Mmm fenris giggles.

I changed my avatar because of ME3 and it needing to be MARCH already and and and *froths* I NEED TO SEE KAIDAN PUNCH GARRUS IN THE MOUTH FOR STEALING HIS WOMAN :P

Its also in omage to Blonde!Shep who will not be seening the light of day. Alas. But, my Crystal Shepard IS blonde, though the ava squished her head. See, here the full shot ;p

http://cloud.steampo...2A67558000E3D8/

I used to pick Fen up first, but then I decided knowing and flirting with Anders before meeting Fenris is uber salt on the wound, and besides he gives 25+ rivalry if you bring anders and DEFEND him as a non-mage. kek. As a mage anders goes "She's not the only mage here you know!" like "HEEEEEEYYYY don't forget meeee, I'm a mage too, seeeeee" *anderswhine*

Fenris is ten times the man of any other guy in DA 2 except for Nathaniel Howe and I'm not certain I could choose between those two. I'd want them both!

I'm just darned glad they didn't turn Nathaniel into DA 2's version of Hamlet.

I just wanted to take Sebastian by the throat and yell, "Make up your mind, you fool!"

LOL! Only reason I put up with Seb in-game is the voice....GOD I love Alec Newman's voice.....Not as much as Gideon Emery's voice, but it's a close second.

The voice is great but much as I wanted to like him -- nah didn't happen.
Fenris however, always had the voice (love ya, Gideon), but oh did he grow on me as an LI.  Even when he just says "Hawke!"

Absolutely.

(For me) In DA2, its between Fenris (Gideon Emery) and Nathaniel (Simon Chadwick) on who's voice is going to cause massive fainting. And it sure as hell sounds it'll be between Random Sylvari I* (Gideon Emery**) and Logan Thackeray (Troy Baker) on who's going to cause me massive fainting from their voices in GW2.

*I shall be calling him RSI for short. Not as catchy as MEG, but, hey, it works!
** Assuming that is actually him. But I'm pretty damn sure.

Not just Gideon Emery and Alec Newman (and Simon Chadwick, sorry!) - what about all the other great male VAs Bioware digs up? Steve Valentine? Brandon Keener? Brian Bloom? (Yes, Varric isn't an LI, but when you hear his voice doing LI-type lines in Stolen Memory...oh yeah.)

I'll be over here in a little puddle of squee. And trying to finish this damn chapter. Don't mind me. :)

Damnit I liked Loghain. Sure he tried to kill me, and sure I lost Alistair, but having him in the party was fun. Of course bringing him and Fenris together would cause Kirkwall to implode from all the brooding.

Anyone else choose specific dialogue options with Fen, just to to hear a particular line that he replies with? I always have to choose that first flirt with him, even if the Hawke I'm playing has no interest in the elf. Posted Image

Oh geez. I have several, aside from targeting him repeatedly trying to get that famous melty "I am yours." These are all Friendmance lines/sequences.
  • The second flirt (You could have offered me a glass first...) in the first chat in Act 1, to get that chuckle
  • The follow-up Diplo Hawke: Perhaps I should be thanking Anso...I love the delivery of the response. :) Amused Fenris is awesome!
  • The sequence with Drunk Fenris in act 2, the set of responses that leads to "I didn't think I needed anyone..."
  • Making Fenris explain himself during the make-up to get that last bit before he's forgiven. (Like any of my FenMancers aren't gonna forgive him or hadn't already forgiven him... still, I love the delivery.)
  • SnarkyHawke in the Courtyard for that wonderful "Let me make it clearer for you." <3
And I give up on introing Fenris in the "Prologue" section of the fic. I just can't make it work and it's keeping me from writing what I really want to write. He'll just have to show up later, so someone has an excuse to thank Anso.

ETA: Aniya's prologue (It's just about her now) is up. *squeaks in stage fright and runs away.*

"You know nothing of being a slave!" if you pick the aggressive option when he tries to explain himself after "A Bitter Pill".

Not exactly sexy, but damn if I didn't expect him to actually start a fight with my Hawke after that, I thought she'd finally pushed him too far.  One of the many wonderfully delivered Fenris lines.  I also like just hearing him say "Hawke." if you click on him during a rivalry.  There's an incredible amount of subtext in that one syllable.
