Jeeeeeez, I just finished Legacy DLC. God damn glad I gave Fenris a ****load of health. Only party member to survive in the end.

The trick is to ctrl-a (or what ever the "whole party does what I say" command the consoles have) for the whole thing. This makes it so everyone follows while running from one statue to the next with out getting caught in between fire/rocks/ice/stupid. Its a rough fight, but beautifully put together, and makes me think of an MMO-style boss fight... which I love, because raiding is what I do, but I haven't done it since I gave WoW the middle finger. For Dragon Age. ;p

fffffff... top..

Here, my favotire, though very hopefully soon not only, commission!

"Let make it clearer for you!"

It is amazing how a pre battle make out session pumps you up.

Woo, back after the Hurricane Irene.  We were without power for three days, not fun but it could have been so much worse.

The first time I played Legacy, Hawke was the only one left standing, the whole party went down in flames....literally.  It seems they had a hard time running to where I told them to go.  It was tragic.:crying:  But then I reloaded and with fore knowlegde... we all survived.  Maybe a little singed but alive.:D  That boss fight was different the first time through.

I was nervous when the rocks came up. Then I lost all bodily functions when electricity and ice spikes were involved. Varric tried to cheer me up by talking about his short legs and dragons coming out of Cor's ass.

Funnily enough my only problem during the fight was Fen. It's like we met an ancient Magister, Fenris had been proven right, all wishes were granted and he decided he could die happy. Little blighter tossed himself in the fire every chance he got.

(great commission snipped - love it, though!)

That's exactly what I thought as well. It felt a LOT like a raid boss fight.  (Right down to my yelling "Don't stand in the bad stuff, dammit!" at the screen! XD)

I gave WoW the finger when I restarted school. I only had time for Dragon Age and a little Mass Effect then. :)

@Ultipup: Oh yeah. Even my diplo Hawkes take that response for that line.  (Go figure, it's head!canon. Aniya is a lucky girl.)

There is no male Hawke. This just makes it seem like Hawke is singing it.

Fenris kept living on my first Legacy-through. There was even one moment where he was the last man standing as the rest of the (low-level) party (My Hawke, Aveline and Varric) all died. So I made him run back and forth to the entrance, luring the 'spawn one at a time... and I accidentally activated the random bug where everybody comes back to life (though at 10 hp).

He only died at the end... at the last minute. Corypheus had this sudden urge to attack Fenris viciously for no reason instead of my squishy mage. It was the first time Fenris fell in battle EVER, and my Mage Hawke stared at his body in horror before unleashing the fireballs and cone of colds of fury.

I like how the color of the two-handed sword that comes with the new item pack looks on Fenris. Especially since he is without the favors for the First Act, it adds color to his outfit. And it's kind of barbaric looking. And the new barbarian staff looks great with Anders's starter outfit! Perfect :-).

I love the barbarian mage outfit but I'm using Malcolms Honor, and gave the barbarian staff to Anders. I gave the two-handed Hammer to Carver, and I'm holding out on giving the barbaric shield and axe to Aveline because I love that sword you get from the Amaranthine Conspirators. After that gets too low I'll just put it in storage because it's so pretty, and give Aveline the new axe.

I've been taking Carver around a lot this time and might I just say he is just hilarious! I guess I'd been leaving him behind before because I felt I couldn't invest in him since he's not with you for that much of the game after the first act. I haven't yet tried making him a Warden yet though. Everything he says makes me laugh. I love how he and Fenris are always bickering, and ok, fine, I hear him now talking with Aveline a lot on how as ReiSilver said he's a hunted man and all that...fine fine fiyyyynnnnnnne. Several times they talk about it. Finnnnne, I concede. Why can't I ever stay mad about anything? ;-)

The voice acting is so good that Carver sounds like Gamlen, and Bethany sounds like Leandra...very fine job with the family resemblances. And how the characters look! Whoever took the time to make sure siblings and family members resemble each other... Bravo! (I hate how in Cinema Movies, often we're just supposed to take with a grain of salt that family members don't look at all alike. This isn't always the case but it often is).

I like how Harle Cerulean implied I had taken the sweet path with Fenris. I like that. I'm not sure if I'm ever going to be able to be his rival no matter what class I play. Sigh,,, what to do, what to do.... :-)

Rivalmance is hot, passionate, sexy. My Rogue can't help but push his buttons and watch him get flustered.

*Tries to stay out of yet another Rivalmance/Friendmance discussion but fails miserably. ;)

Clarification: I am writing this because a lot of Rivalmancers say this about being hot/passionate, and I feel the urge to defend the Friendmance when this happens. I do better staying out of it some days than others, but I'm certainly not grumpy. :)

The Friendmance definitely has its moments, and Gideon Emery doing the associated lines is swoon-worthy.) Oy vey. *fans self* I was amazed that Fenris can come off as sweet as he does when I first did the Friendmance, and I found it addictive/compelling.

Of course, this is my personal interpretation/reaction to the Friendmance. It's based on my own biases and likes in relationships, because it's easier to project my own feelings into it and identify with what's going on. I consider my relationship with my husband a maxed-friendmance. Does that mean we never have differences or disagreements or arguments? Heck no. :) Does that mean we still can very much shape the other, however, and have? Certainly. I know folks on this thread have said they are in 'rivalmance' relationships (or prefer them) and wouldn't trade them for anything! (Which is fine! :) ) It's all up to interpretation - and what the game does poorly can be fleshed out in fanfic. XD

And it's Fenris - it'll be hot/passionate/sexy regardless, really.

It's a fantasy game - ultimately, do what's fun. :)  (And I hope my dramatic overuse of smilies indicates that I'm not angry/grumpy/miffed or trying to start a flame war. :innocent:

Oh? I thought the difference between the Fenris-throwing-you-against-the-wall scene was that in a Rivalmance, he glows.

Nope, you do it right in either romance, you can get glowy-kiss or non-glowy-kiss.

Nope. If you grab his arm, you still get the glowy wall-push. :) He just loses the anger really fast when he realizes what he's doing to whom.

Quick question, did they ever fix Fenris's bugged romance dialogue in Legacy? Whether by official patch or by mod?
