LMAO, I actually loved that second one precisely because it is a little creepy.

It's his "I'll practice my flattery for next visit" face... I laugh every time. That awkward smile, like he has never smiled in his whole life and it just sort of comes out. I love it! Just seeing that face makes me giggle.

And I didn't know coffee, black author wrote the heartbeat one... of course wasn't that 2 separate authors anyways? Blah, still.. no wonder it is good. It's just plain good writing!

The kink is very hit or miss, but if you stick with the prompts you like, or ones that have a couple of reviews it isn't so bad. You might not need brain bleach, LMAO. Still, don't venture where you don't want to go or you might need the bleach.

Needed the bleach every now and then.

I figures thats the scene where his brain stops communication between mouth and eyes. His expression is very "OMG, what am I doing? Nod and smile!"
 
I didn't know she wrote both either, until I visited her AO3 accont. I usually avoid reading it there cause I love her commenters and the way she makes sure to recognize all the comments her stories get, the Kink meme version started to feel like a little family. Its very... sweet.

I .. don't understand why people hate these characters. There's nothing to hate about any of them. They're all lovely characters with their own unique snowflake complexes.

Aveline is that wonderful, big sister who's a cop wonderfulness.
Varric is ultimate bro
Anders is "FOREVER IN LOOOOOOVE", he's like silk and diamonds!
Fenris is the ultimate mixture of selfish and protective and.. mmm broody.
Isabela is fun, charming, silly, wild, sexy.. I could go on forever about belafase.
Merrill is sweet and naive and.. well, she's daisey!
Sebastian is.. well, he's a prince-priest. He's not my most favorite, but I don't hate him!

Heck, even Carver and Bethany are wonderful in their own unique ways. Carver is snotty little brother, and Bethany is sweetness defined.

There, there, some people are just mean.

That isn't really what's happening, I know. Some people feel the need to belittle other characters in order to validate their own choices. Others just get really defensive about their favorites and lash out when those favorites are attacked. And sometimes, people just don't realize that their own carefully considered opinions might differ from another person's when neither person is wrong. It, too, is just one of those things.

And me in a Fenris thread? What is the world coming to?

Eh, I like Merrill, I just think she's daft. Anders just scares me. Aveline is a good example of  a Lawful Good woman gone right, Isabela's a good role model in a more complex way than most would think, I kinda like Sebastian - partly because he's well voice acted, but also because I enjoy his banters with Fenris and Anders-, Varric is just naturally awesome, but Fenris has always been my favourite, for the reason that I posted earlier - I felt like I had to actually work for those precious Friendship points, to earn his respect. That's why Varric's second to Fenris in my head - Varric's a good person, funny as hell and has a lovely voice, but he's almost too easy to gain respect points from.

I don't hate Anders, I do hate some of the things he has done, or even beyond that how some people validate/appreciate the actions he took. Even this isn't a reason to hate him, others can see his actions any way they want and it's usually how you feel about the circle that points a direction to how ou'll feel about the big bang.

His charcter is so messy. It has lots of angst potential, which I enjoy. I just have difficulty romancing him because what others seem to think of as romantic I see as overbearing and stalkerish. Like Edward without the sprinkles, er sparkles. Ah well my baby is Fenris, I hold him near and dear cause his brand of crazy is more subtle. Plus, elves.

I certainly don't *hate* any of the party NPCs, at least out of character. I also like that you really have to work to impress Fenris (when you don't have it down to a science yet *grin*) and, to a lesser extent, Varric. I actually feel like I struggle more with Varric and Aveline than anyone else. Aveline's problem, though, is just that she stays in the shed once Fenris gets recruited because well, it's Fenris, and because I think he's the better tank for most everyday situations.

Aniya specifically hates blood mages for a head!canon reason I'm going to reveal in the fic. She specifically distrusts Anders because of Justice. However, because of this, Anders ends up conflicted over her (and somewhat vice versa, in a friendship way) about her stance on mages, since he agrees on the blood magic. (I really don't like rivaling him to get him to stand with us at the end, but game mechanics require it.) Hawke vs. Merril is over the blood magic, although Hawke agrees with Fenris in that she's hopelessly naive.

Varric is my favorite non-romancible, and Aniya and Aveline get along just fine most of the time. Her relationship with Issy is more complicated, but overall friendly and it resolves well.

Never mind that Hawke is deeply conflicted because her beloved father and sister are mages. They're strong, but they aren't immune to the mages who aren't, and it terrifies her. This is what drives her into the pro-circle camp. She hates it, but there it is.

lol, just you wait. I've got .. like, two and a half, and I've got to figure out how to mush them together, entries for KHS for you to proof, or I will by monday at least. By the time I'm done subjecting you to my fiction you may just have a new appriciation for Fenris




As for the topic at hand -- I love Anders, and I have a whole canon just for him. But then, I love Fenris too and I have two seperate canon's for him. I love all the characters, even Sebastian, who fustrates the hell out of me. It just.. amazes me that people can get that heated over pretendy characters in a pretendy world.

For anyone who is interested, Bring Fenris and, say, Carver and Varric. Don't bring Isabella because she'll ruin it :-) But Bring Isabella definitely if you are working on Riv---allry with her. If you want to hear Fenris say something in defense of poor Ninette, bring this group or if you don't have Carver say..hm..maybe Anders... a guy character to be safe I'm not sure tho. Or, here's a thought just bring Fenris! :-)

Take the First Sacrifice, My wife is missing from the wall in the Merchant's area in Hightown. Then go talk to Ninette's disgruntled husband, who is making a scene on the above walkway nearby. I have sympathy even for him poor guy. But Fenris doesn't seem to care for him and will say so.

At the end of the First Sacrifice quest take Fenris to the Gallows to talk to Emeric and make sure you pick the "aggressive" option. Fenris will stand up for these poor women with you, to Emeric.

For Gideon Emery admirers :-) Go to Samson in Lowtown (night). He's near the remote exit, down where that area where I think the quest Sharp Little Pinpricks gets completed. He'll be standing there often looking like he's begging. Right click on him to have him say some interesting things.

You have to admit he's by far the easiest target in the game for that kind of thing, the poor guy. They might as well have painted a glow-in-the-dark bullseye on his forehead (or elsewhere...).

@Nilf, if you play as a human male you can have Gideon Emery's voice. Just choose the "Mysterious" option. I did that and then created a Warden to look as similar to Fenris as possible. Like his human noble cousin or something. 8D It was pretty cool.
