wow, that was quite profound! Yes, it was a bit off the rails but at least you see this. I...like Fenris would say...will have to think on it. But so far, I like :-).

Sassy gay Hawke voice: WHAT ARE YOU DOING? what... what. What are you doing?
Oh man, been spending way to much time on Tumblr.
Underpants. I'm going with Red -- Red and Green eyes... The contrast/compliment makes me *nod in approval*
As for the discussion.. seems it has wound down a bit now, but I agree with CGG. As far as character analysis goes you can't start from nothing. Leto was offered as a taste of a former life. A piece of the puzzle that makes Fenris. I simply wish to understand it a bit more. Not dwell on it, not revel in it, simply embrace the tragedy that WAS Leto. Leto is dead. He isn't coming back.
After Varania I am under no illusion that Fenris will ever dwell on his past. He will move on, as he should. Leto did die with the ritual. "STop CallING me THAT" is very telling of how he feels about the name. We went through this before as well. Fenris means something to him, not because of Danarius, but because it is who he made himself to be. He owns that name. He IS Fenris.
New chapters of Coffee, Black... I .. *UNF* .. Venhedis I'm addicted to this story! I am so totally sketching a Fen tonight. Muses are pulling me in 3 different directions *sigh.*
Heiden -- Sorry about the guide! If you wanted any kind of assistance I will happily render it. Though that may be forward of me. Always glad to proofread for people, though.

*shudder*
If you want the correct recipe for a Fenris, check out my detailed instructions on the last page. You'll get a much better result, I promise you.
Alternately, you can just read "Coffee, Black." I honestly believe it has the power to melt even the most withered husk that was once a human heart.
(Haha, crossposted Arquen, both recommending Coffee Black independently! Awesome)

I'm actually on a bit of a high note at the moment. Got my arse handed to me at work yesterday, but off tonight and posting at 3am as usual while rocking out to Fenris playlist and doing silly little sketches and trying to find inspirations for a continuing kinkmeme prompt I'm doing.
Also, Coffee, Black gave me warm fuzzies and I got me some starbucks and reminisced about the last couple months of my life and how Dragon Age has consumed it more than it should have. Could be lack of sleep, could be coffee, could be ... Fenris.
Excellent sound file I found while browsing dialogue: "The wine was tasty...?" It sounds like a question. I laughed none the less.

Heyyy, what are you doing ouside the Isabela thread! Someone should contact them and tell them their troll got loose. Here sit, have a bowl of cookies while you wait for someone to come pick you up. Uhg, its adorable. But we can't keep it, I'm allergic.
the lastest chapter of Coffee, Black was the biggest tease of my life... Noooo! Pants come off! Oh fine you messed up little muppet, keep your pants on.
Underwear are blue, and lacy, with a bow. Fabric, satin. They were what gave him his first taste of freedom. No one with sating undies wants to be a slave.
Leto is a lovely name, I would love to see what his life was like to fully understand the damage the mages did. I wonder if Gaider could be convinced to do a short story or something if he is poked about it enough.

My Fen "sketch" turned into a Fen full out painting, OMG MUSES!
Then my boyfriend is about to wake up and I'll be painting Fen and he will roll his eyes and go "I don't know you anymore..."

My Husband used to say that to me, but now he's finally over his WoW obsession as well, and "gets" why I cling so hardcore to Bioware games and the DA universe

WhooHoo great job!!
Restarted back to act 1 last night (after 35hrs and into act 3) so I could properly romance this perfectly handsome elf. Your tips have him deep in the red/rival now, thanks! Almost called in sick today so I could stay home and get to the good stuff in act 2 finally... ahh something to look forward to.
and regardless of the color of undies, are they speedo or thong? I can't see him going commando, that armor would chafe

Of those options, speedo. Even if he didn't start with that, when Isabela began asking he probably changed. I can't imagine her ever letting him live it down if he ran around in a thong.AbsoluteApril wrote...

Quite honestly, I'd take commando over speedos or thongs any day.
Unless it's a pink lacy sequined thong. Then all is forgiven.
Or rather, the brains of any onlookers are instantly vapourised, so it stops to matter.

I feel for you I really do. I'm totally serious about that I realllly do. On this topic I do inevitably side with Ultipup, but just hear me out.
Why don't you write it? No one better to write something than someone interested in a topic right? I'll help but I have to confess a few things to you.
Right now, I don't know anything about the sister's story. Can we trust her to be telling the complete truth? And the Hadriana part when Fenris is about to kill her, and she says he has a sister to begin with I found to be contrived. I was disappointed with it. The long lost sibling yadadadada card is way too overplayed in cinema/tv as well as game stories which are becoming just as good if not much better.
David Gaider is a good writer, and I'm getting the impression he's working on lots of things. But I will say this... you and I agree about curiousity about what mages in general did to him. A couple of pages back, Patricia explained I thought very, very well what might be going on with Fenris. I'll quote the post again later, right now I'm a little busy. You may have already read it, too. If we do it her way it doesn't spoil everything, and it keeps it mysterious, to be dragged out over time. Might make it easier on David Gaider too, but he may really not want to do it. If that is the case than it is truly up to us.
As much as I like him, David Gaider is not Fenris. As much as I am completely knocked dead over...no sweeping involved :-)...off my feet by Gideon Emery, he is not Fenris and yet I'll say I don't think there is anyone here who would accept any one else being the voice for Fenris. As good as David is, Fenris is a very long way from being developed enough that in theory the project couldn't even be taken over by someone else if necessary. We'd need to know how commited David is to Fenris, really, and that's not something he's likely to share with us. I think for now we can take it that he's very commited, and also, a very busy man.
I've seen this happen all to often. What someone claims to "own", if they garner enough of a following, can change with time. This has nothing to do with Fenris at the moment, but in theory, I have... for example...please don't take this the wrong way anyone...come up with as close to proof as I can that the writer for Fenris doesn't necessarily know his own character. In other words, though it is Fiction, Fenris has become his own man. It's actually quite amazing; I'm getting kind of fascinated with it. The most concise way I can explain this further is that there are more than one person working on him.
Also, please keep in mind that as much as we like David, some of us may write in a different, more elaborate style than he does. I'm very impressed with a lot of the thought, tact, dedication of many of the people here. With the combination of say, CulturalGeekGirl, yourself, Ursula, Heiden among others and yes myself included...I mean come on! I haven't read everyones things yet but there appears to be some real promise here. I'm going to need to cut this short, I need to go pick up my boyfriend at the airport. I'll touch upon a few more things regarding this subject later, but I just wanted to let you know my feelings about this in the event that David, not wanting to disappoint, may simply have too much on his plate already :-).

A Fen for you all... It was just supposed to be a sketch! I just don't even know. I blame muses and lack of sleep and too much caffeine.
Based on this quote:
"Fen comes in, promptly at 9:05, wearing a black sweater I’ve never seen before. It looks old, kind of thin, and the hem at the neck has separated from the rest of the sweater a little. But he doesn’t look disheveled. He just looks…
I want to vault over this counter and pin him down on the floor next to the cream and sugar island.
Yeah. That’s how he looks." -- Coffee, Black

That is an awesome pic Arquen! God it's too bad glasses didn't exist in the dragon age.

But glasses probably wouldn't do well with Fenris' fighting style, so it's just as well he doesn't need them, especially as early glasses lacked arms that hooked behind the ears and had to be held to the face with a hand. Needless to say, they were solely for reading and other times when one absolutely must have one's vision clearer, since constantly wandering about with one's hand to one's face isn't a feasible option.
