I've actually developed a theory that I quite enjoy, that bisexuality is the dominant orientation among elves. Basically, in the same way 70%+ of humans are straight, 70%+ of elves are bisexual. It would be interesting to see a society that had a different default distribution of sexualities than earth human society, and the elves are the perfect testing ground... especially because of all the old "It's not gay if he's fae!" memes.
I like your theory.
No. I said that I was guessing that you don't roleplay, since you made a comment which makes it seem like you play characters that are pretty much yourself (and I apologise if I was wrong in this regard).mcilhany wrote...
This is not roleplaying, it's arguing. And you implied I did.
The comment was not at all about the argument(s), and I'm not sure how you got the two confused.
What does Zevran and who he's with have to do with anything? And don't be sure that he and I would "get along just fine". That's rather rude, really.I don't like this. You can have my Zevran, please take him off my hands? He's pretty needy and I'm sure you and he would get along just fine.
Also, Zev never struck me as "needy".

I present to you my pride and joy, the honorable Aidan Cousland. All rise and hail to our Future King. Aidan has resisted the charms of the Bard Leliana, and the Bewitching Lure of our fair Maiden Morrigan to prove himself worthy of the hand of the exquisite Anora Thierin. With his champion, none other than the Hero of Riverdane himself, a pact has been made to defeat the blight together, with both Aidan and his future father-in-law acting together to make that final blow. Any challenge to the virility and authenticity of our Future King will be met via a duel, one on one, to be held at the Orzimmar Provings.
Because I don't wanna be gay, I dunno how to roleplay.

It was discussed quite some time ago, but I can't remember all the different theories/thoughts.Cosmochyck wrote...
I'm sure this may have been covered already (I tried to read all 1700+ pages but haven't made it yet), but I'm curious (thanks to fanfic), what we think happened to Fenris and Hawke after leaving Kirkwall - especially since if you completed the romance he's the only one that doesn't leave your side...
I like the idea that they travelled, just enjoying being free and unattached to anything. Especially considering a comment that Fenris makes after "Alone"... which I can't remember properly at the moment.
But I think someone had suggested that they settle somewhere by themselves(or mostly, anyway), and live a lovely, quiet life. Seems like it would be a relatively "happy ending" for the both of them. Especially Fenris.
... and then I think we got into discussing Fenris being a father vs not being a father, and what kind of a father he would be... if they had kids.

mcilhaney, I think the idea that you don't "roleplay" in the sense of assuming an identity markedly different from your own was inferred from a few of your statements:
"I wouldn't want to be in a relationship with someone like that in real life, so why would my character?"
and
"None of us are roleplaying."
Hopefully you can see how those statements would be a tiny bit confusing, yes? Sometimes meaning is less clear on the internet than we want it to be.
As for love interests in game versus real life... In real life I'm pretty continually surprised by who I end up attracted to, so I don't usually dismiss any love interest out of hand. Stalwartly defending an organization that I find inherently troubling is pretty much the only way you can get on the "no thanks" list, and at that point that just includes Leliana, Sebastian, and Miranda. Everyone else is at least a possibility.

I'm sorry. I don't know what you're talking about...
This has nothing to do with what you want, I'm afraid. It's about what I want. You don't have to agree with me about it.

And trying to explain how others might have interpreted the other things you wrote, that it might have just been a misunderstanding instead of rudeness.

oh ok. Well, it does not seem like we are roleplaying. I could say what Tealsie said about me right back at her. I'm not looking over his/her shoulder. None of this seems like roleplaying. It seems like arguing for the sake of arguing. I don't always understand what I'm reading either. It is then, when I know, I should probably just step back and leave it. Too bad others can't do the same.
About the rudeness thing... maybe you should give a copy of that to Tealsie as well as me.

Ok, yeah, what happened is a misunderstanding.
Tealsie (and myself) mentioned roleplaying about your characters in the game. Not about what you're doing here on the forum.
We're not roleplaying on the forum, that's true. But that's not what Tealsie was talking about.

I suggest we put a stop to this topic at this time, and as Fenris would say "Let's move on".

any excuse to repost Aimo art of Fenris and Akiva

As for my own theories I'm holding back on anything concrete until the Devs are done with DLC since they keep saying how Hawke's story isn't over.
I could see Marric Hawke and Fenris travelling, Marric would want to show Fenris Fereldan and he'd love to visit places like Rivain, Orlais and maybe even the Anderfels. I think Marric would be a bit worried about staying too long in one place after what happened in the EndGame but I could also see him getting pulled reluctantly into the coming war under certain circumstances...
