Blech, know how you feel. Had to take medication for vertigo last night and I'm still doped up six ways from Sunday, 16 hours later. Ugh. Should be interesting when I have to double-check today's calculations tomorrow.Arquen wrote...
I'm battling high fevers, pain and illness at the moment. Haven't felt terribly inspired to write for the prompt. Also, I've been working a lot lately and it has been rather busy. No time to post from work, BLEH.

Unfortuantely my cold from last week turned into a sinus infection. I've got the works -- fever, vertigo, dizziness, malaise and general feeling of craptacularness.
AND Now I'm totally getting inspired for the prompt -- Oh muse how you wound me with your fickleness.
Prompt - broth
*upon being let in by Bodhan and seeing Anders in the foyer of Hawke's mansion*
Fenris: Alright, I am here, but what are you doing here? Where is Hawke?
Anders: Hawke has an incredibly high fever, is practically comatose, and apparently waited 5 days before coming forth with her illness. She had told everyone to leave her alone and so nobody knew! Stubborn woman. I can't fathom why but the only word out of her mouth the past hour was "Fenris." So I called you.
Fenris: Where is she? Why haven't you healed her? *starts storming up the stairs toward Hawke's room*
Anders: *following after* I am healing her! She hasn't woken up yet. All I need for you to do is sit down and shut up. For some reason she asked for you and maybe having you here will bring her around. I've tried everything else.
Fenris: *upon seeing Hawke in bed, feverish and pale* Just do your job, abomination. I'll do mine.
Anders: Yes, well I doubt ripping someone's heart out through their chest is going to be very helpful right now.
Fenris: I don't know... I could use yours to make a nice broth I think.
Anders: Oh, clever. Yes, that would do wonders for the situation wouldn't it? Can't you stop for one minute with the abomination and mage hate? Besides I already tried a broth and a potion. She won't take it.
Fenris: I hardly blame her. I wouldn't trust your broth either.
Anders: Andraste's bloody mess, seriously? I don't even know why I bother. *stands over Hawke, hands glowing a faint blue* Her fever is getting worse. My magic isn't working fast enough.
Fenris: Useless mage. Where is that broth? I will try.
Anders: Your going to fist it through her throat or what?
Fenris: If I have to... just give me the broth.
*Anders reluctantly hands Fenris a vial*
Fenris: *opening the vial* This smells terrible. You sure it is not poison?
Anders: It is a potent mixture for fever laced with magic. I guarantee it will work faster than anything else, but she has to drink it.
Fenris: Hawke? Hawke? The abomination guarantees this broth as he calls it will work. I guess you should trust him. You always seem to for some reason, but you have to drink... *He tilts Hawke's head up.. she mumbles 'Fenris?' and takes a few drinks of the vial*
Anders: Stubborn woman. I can't believe this. Do you know how many times I tried that?
Fenris: Maybe she doesn't trust an abomination to not poison her.
Anders: More than an elf who acts like a rabid dog!? She should trust you?
Fenris: Weak mage!
Anders: Hypocrit slave!
Hawke: Andraste's flaming hair! You boys shut up already or I'm going to get up and kill you myself... Now, what in the name of the Maker did I just drink? It tasted like poison!
Fenris: The abomination's broth...
Anders: *cutting Fenris off* Which worked. Hawke why didn't you tell anyone you were so ill? This didn't need to happen.
Hawke: What... and miss both of you in my room arguing over me while I'm in bed? I thought for a minute I was having a fever dream. Wait.. why are you both here in my bedroom?
Anders: Seriously, you didn't think I wouldn't find out you were sick and come to help?
Hawke: And Fenris?
Fenris: I just... you apparently asked for my assistance. So I came.
Anders: He force fed you the broth...
Fenris: *glaring at Anders* I was successful where you failed, mage.
Hawke: *sighs and lays back down* Alright, Alright... Thank you for everything, but I don't need an audience. I'm doing fine. You guys can leave now.
Anders and Fenris: NO.
Hawke: Fine! But if you two don't stop yelling at eachother and let me rest I'll get out of this bed and kick you both out myself! *she pulls the blanket up to her chin and defiantly sighs and shuts her eyes a slight smile on her lips*

We had the remnants of hurricane Katia here on the west coast of Scotland the last couple of days, the winds and rain have died down but boy its freezing, reckoning 2 degrees tonight, thats only about 34F brrrrrrr -goes to get thermals and bed-socks-
I started another pt the other day, F/hawke rogue, Fen romance ofc but decided to try and rival Anders (for science lol), Im finding it pretty hard going tbh, not only do I not like what I seem to be doing to my usual friend Anders but I'm finding getting the rival points quite hard. Im not really enjoying it as much as I thought I might, too much of a softy I reckon, I'll see how it goes but may have to restart.......again!
Great prompts guys, you guys are brilliant! I don't think I've ever had a muse, is there perhaps a Muse Adoption Agency or somewhere like it that I can perhaps adopt one? lol ( I wish!!)
I recently attempted a very short story, the idea was how Fenris would react/act if blood magic was the only thing that would save a romanced F/Hawkes life, Hawke is unconscious so the decision solely lies on Fenris. It was going great until I re-read, proof-read, edited and finally......deleted it, I just don't have the skills to put pen to paper as I'd want -sigh-.
I would be so honoured if any of your muses took a notion for the idea, Id love to see it fleshed out but its beyond me
Anyways, take care all, rambled MORE than enough!

Fleshdress I hate you. You live in one of my favorite cities. It's the way you spell certain words that gave you away. I love cold climates. I'd give anything to live in Calgary. Please feel free to tell me what life is like there. Are there any negatives?
I'm thinking Rei Silver and Arcane_Solona are either English or Canadian as well.
Iceyone: don't worry about it. Being anyone's rival is hard for me too. Sebastian is easy to rival I found, but it didn't make much sense to me. I just did it to get the trophy.

And to everyone out there battling an illness, get well soon! Maybe you should have some of that broth Anders whipped up for Hawke:P Better yet, maybe you should get Fenris to "force feed" you

Ah, so it's Smetty's Fish Warehouse, then? Like Varric's "So, we're searching for one crate in a warehouse full of dead fish?"
In that case, then, I don't need to bother making Fenris protest a trip to the Docks. If it was an essential part of his character, I'd work it in, but if it's just a "OMG, fish warehouse! Gross!" thing like the other companions do, there's no need.
Thanks!
When you walk into Smetty's Fish Guttery, Fenris sais "Fish, Fish, and More Fish. Pfhech! *BIG SIGH* Let's just get this over with."
Lending that whole, Fenris must not like fish very much... thing :innocent:
That fish line always makes me laugh. I have always hated the smell of fish too (especially now I'm a vegetarian). It sounds like something I would have said when I was younger.
The smell of fish makes me gag:sick: And I don't think it is due to being a vegan, because I only went vegan 9 months ago, and I have ALWAYS despised fish. Must be a bad childhood experience, which I am yet to recall.

Australia is... very different to what I'm used to. For starters, it gets quite hot here. Too hot, in fact. And humid. Yuck. But other than that, it's alright. I do get periods of homesickness from time to time, but nothing too severe. I'm here to study law, and I'm in my final semester, so I'll be home soon!
I live an hour away from Brisbane! In the Gold Coast, if you've ever heard of it

Sorry that I'm obsessed with this topic, but it's better to sate my curiosity, as I am obsessed with other countries, languages, and quite often most other places in my huge homecountry the US.
And the internet is great for meeting people from other countries.

Brisbane is actually quite nice pretty much all year around...perhaps not during the flood sometimes last year......
@mcilhany, I am from New Zealand! The glourious middle earth. I just spotted Orlando Bloom at a rugby match over the weekend. They are all here at the moment, filming the Hobbit.
