Dammit, now I want to see Fenris in Wolverine's yellow outfit and a Prof Xavier-esque companion.

God. Not the yellow and black outfits. ANYTHING BUT THEM.

I choose casual Wolverine with jeans and a bomber jacket.

When I think of Tevinter, I imagine Byzantine Empire ala the slavic area (Not Italian. Italian = Roman Catholic, Byzantine = Eastern Europe). Anyone know any slavic-American actors? Can't be too many of those, right?

The Byzantine Empire is rather far from anything Slavic, unless they intend to incorporate them together in Thedas.

The Surviving Eastern Orthodox Church is mostly located in Russia, and it is what remains of the Byzantine christian religion. Hence why I assume Russia.

Actually, it's in Greece and Romania too. The majority of the population is Orthodox (myself included - i am romanian).

So this leaves us with Russian, Greek, and Romanian (if this assumption is correct).

Must look up these accents. I'll be back soon.

I keep thinking, what VA is so well known we often think about him as soon as the accent is mentioned...

*Pondering* I have no clue.

My best guess isn't so much that the VA is well known for an accent, but rather that naming Fenris' accent will pinpoint a game notorious for that accent, and people will deduce from there.

Hence why I'm putting my pennies in the jar and pushing at Assassin's Creed II. I'm going to assume Fenris has a light Italian accent, and that his VA is also from that game. I personally loved Leonardo Da Vinci, but I could also see Ezzio, Giovanni, Lorenzo, and Frederico.

My apologies if this has been mentioned before, but there's 177 pages of posts on this guy. Anyway, am I the only one who read his description and thought "Wolverine?!?" An unusual proceedure wiped his memory and turned him into a living weapon.. Please someone explain to me how I am wrong here.

I am waiting for the twin sister of Fenris to show up, who is a minion of the magister and who has identical powers.

Never played AC2, but I have heard Ezio and Leonardo in some clips I've seen-- Ezio (Roger Craig Smith) is very enjoyable to listen to.

lol I just looked up my country's accent in english on youtube xD totally stupid...Now i see how utterly wrong i am about other accents (like american accents :P)

About the churces, i am pretty sure these are the 3 full orthodox countries left. I've learnt like 10 years of religion in school x_ X and my grandma always used to tell me things about Greece when we passed by their ambassy.

But i highly doubt they will restort to an actor from these parts...even from Russia.

EDIT: Ezio's voice actor (Roger Craig Smith) is actually american. But his italian accent is great, melts my heart away

Or perhaps an Afrikaani accent? It is unique and strange... I could definitely see the team choosing an accent that isn't easy to pinpoint to any particular real-world location, considering Tevinter's Latin-Byzantine inspiration (No one really knows what ancient Latin sounded like, outside of assumption).

Then, the only South African VA I am familiar with is the same guy who did Donovan Hock from ME2. It is an incredibly difficult dialect to master.

Donovan Hock

Could he be like Solaufein? Image IPB

Allow me to echo that smiley! Solaufein... if only he'd been a Gaider-written romance. *sigh* The whole Underdark just had this atmosphere that was incredible, and I just felt like there were things I wanted to save there. He was definitely one of them.

HolyJellyfish wrote...

Wow. Gaider is evil for hinting at the VA without actually giving us ANY hints.

Unique accent that would call someone out... And Gaider imagined the voice actor voicing Fenris during his creation...

*lol* Not evil, just smart. After Mary was so completely shocked that she revealed Brian Bloom before his time, he's probably extra careful to guard against fan cleverness. I would be, too. He knows we're insanely crafty little buggers! ;)

I think he was just teasing/complimenting us on that. Although, I do love the idea of a Slavic, Russian, or Eastern European accent, and I would be pretty pleasantly surprised if they chose one as long as the actor was good.

I would love it if he had an Icelandic accent (www.youtube.com/watch) or anything Eastern European. But please, please, please NOT a Scandinavian one. Ugh, I would never be able to talk to him without cringing. How you all think that would be a good idea is beyond me. There is a reason why Skarsgård doesn't want his Swedish accent to shine through...

Oh. The accent.

It's so cute-- and weird-- and unique... Hmm...

Scandinavian accents *are* kinda funny. I just really like Skarsgard and his accent is pretty slight.

Icelandic would be cool, though I don't know of any Icelandic actors off the top of my head.

Does Ezio have one voice actor or two? (young Ezio in acII vs old on ac brotherhood) I'm assuming the actor just raised/lowered his voice? Lol

No offence but tbh Ezio's accent was... It was alright. It was grating to listen to as an Italian myself, though.

Tbh I only liked Ezio when he got older and more mature. He was a bit of an arrogant jerk to me, really. I really had to make myself continue on, as I felt no interest towards Ezio. I just sat there wondering why I should care about him. :?

That doesn't say much, seeming Altair had no personality whatsoever. LOL.

Don't get me started on the modern day guy... whatshisface. God. What an irritating man.

I like the story, love the combat, love the missions and I love the free running aspect, but the characters? Could be better. Could be MUCH better.

I totally agree about Nathaniel too, btw. Anders could happen, he was great fun, but with Nathaniel--well, maybe they could build it up another way, but with the Warden there was already such a great hook in place. Hard to top that. Wish I could remember who linked me to this, but here's a good fanfic exploration of that missed chance with a Cousland. It's a WIP, but already has a lot of chapters, and it's quite well-written.

Hey, cool! :D *reads right now*
And thanks for the insight. Something I didn't realize about myself for a while. ^^;

I think a LOT of girls agree about Varric, and it mainly being a height or body hair thing. But I'm not going to cause a fuss if he is revealed to be a LI. Like Carth and the others after him, you can get over something that bothers you if you simply like the person. And we have to agree his personality is intriguing. ;)

About accents, if we all come to a consensus on one language, we're all bound to be disappointed. =P
If we just think Italian then we'll either be right or pleasantly surprised. ^^

According to IMDB it's only one actor, so I'm guessing he just adjusted his voice to fit Ezio's personality.

I honestly can't even comprehend any kind of interesting VA right now that we would name on the spot.

Can anyone else honestly say they can name VAs with funny accents who we would all know most probably?
